It’s a Michigan State. Hey, it didn’t take long for the ABS to get the party started. And what rhymes with party? Marty. Yeah, Johnny. Everybody bought into that one. But Kale Mar, what a feed to Marty Nas. Less than a minute into the game. Fourth time this year. Little fake shot. Looks like a Nathan McKinnon breakaway goal. Little fake under the bar. High glove. What a start for the ABS. I think that’s his second or third goal in the first minute. So, we’re off to a good start. Third goal in the first minute. Arturi Lechin and he knows where to go and he always seems to be there. His eighth of the year. Well, it started in the Dzone. Sam Molinsky making a beautiful play and then he joins the rush, hammers a slap shot and it fools Lion. Arturi Lechin in the dirty area. He does not leave a shift where he is not breathing hard. No, he leaves it all out there. Okay, so 12 minutes to go. Thought this one might be in the bag. Like Colorado was just going to put it on him. But looks like Blackwood has the puck and then all of a sudden boom, Byron pulls it out. This one just trickles out of Blackwood’s equipment. And this is what Jared Bard talking about. Just getting your timing back knowing 110% that it’s stuck right there. And unfortunately, it trickles out. Bo Byron doesn’t come much easier than that little sand wedge from the fringe. This next goal is so gross. Watch these two passes from Brinley and watch the little Charmin baby’s butt touch just right there. So soft. I don’t know if that was the right thing to say, but you know what I mean. I don’t know what you mean, but yes, it was soft. And the pass from Brimley through the skates of the Savers player and Ross Colton, the little touch pass. Brock Nelson, that was beautiful. And if he gets rolling, look out. 6 and 1/2 minutes to go. Jordan Greenway, watch. He’s just going to take a whack at it. just throw it on net. What they say? What would Wedgewood say about this? Wedgewood said that sometimes when the puck’s rolling, it’s really hard to read it as a goalender. And I think Greenway sees it’s just on edge and he’s going to put everything he has into it and somehow sneaks through the jersey of Blackwood. We go to the second period. There was no scoring opportunities till about the 15minute mark. They get a power play. Tage Thompson near side of your screen. Big number 72. He’s got a lethal shot. Well, you can see when he drops down to a knee right here, that’s putting everything he has into a shot. But three of the penalty killers, all three penalty killers at the bottom of the screen, Brock Nelson come on the ice. They had been out there for an extended period. It’s just tougher. You don’t have the legs. You can’t close down those seams as quick. About a minute later, watch Gavin Brinley like a hawk in the wind. The skating right here and the vision to go far post. the hawk and the witch. I guess if we get Gavin Ridley tonight, we can call him the hawk. That might be a chicken. We’re not not totally sure that’s what a We’re not even going to go through the re. We’re just going to make hawk. His new nickname is the hawk. He’s the hawk. All right, we go to the third period. Three minutes. This is why McKinnon stands above everybody. Watch him look and fight and somehow find Marty N. And this all started in the Dzone. Marty Nous beautiful touch breakout pass. Nathan McKinnon in stride. He gets caught on the back track which is virtually never happens. But he battles. He out battles behind the net. There’s five sabers in the slot and he still finds Marty Nous. He doesn’t get everything on it, but the placement is perfect. Ukah Pekka pooping in his pants. Did not find that one. So, a couple minutes to go. Gabe Landisk looking to finish it. Can’t do it. Looks up at the hockey gods and says, “Say hello to my left.” Well, everybody in the building knew Marty Nius was on hat-tick watch, but he dishes it to Gabe Lannisk. You can see the shot block. He battles through a hold of the stick. That could have been called. It would have been an automatic goal. But Marty Nius, when my captain is open, my captain gets the puck. I love that. It’s like my daughter when she wants cereal, you got to go get you got to go find the milk. She’s no fun to hang out with when she’s hungry. Take a look at some of the numbers at the end of this one presented by your local Ford stores. Anything jump out to you, Johnny? Well, your daughter telling you to knock it off. That’s what jumps out to me.
