The 2025-26 Cavs are not the team that won 64 games last season. But are they still searching for who they are?

Injuries, experimentation, and circumstance have reshaped the roster. Every game feels like a reshuffled deck: a new combination of available players, a fresh challenge, a test of identity under pressure.

  1. The Plain Dealer has dropped off a cliff. The season is a couple weeks old and this is the headline!!

The real question should be is can The Plain Dealer find itself again?

  2. The couple games DG played we looked locked and loaded. Without garland we look like ass. Also mobley has not lived up to what he should be this season.

  3. The cavs are 8-5 it’s November 14th what the hell is wrong with cavs fans on this sub? That’s the only real question worth asking.

  4. Don and Kenny both talked about how they where not gonna just “go back to what worked” because obviously health end of season and matchups play a huge HUGE roll and you have to test in production with basketball practice doesn’t give you all the information. We are gonna have some wins where it clicks and we are going to have losses where the stuff just isn’t working. WE KNEW THIS, if you paid attention as a fanbase we knew this, especially considering we knew Garland was coming off surgery Max is out… like we knew up until ASB we’d probably be up and down a LOT. Let it roll.

  5. Jesus Christ this is so overly dramatic. They’re 8-5! It’s not like they started 4-9 through 13 games like the Bucks last year.

Garland has literally played 73 minutes all season. We’ve had 23 minutes of the Garland-Mitchell-Hunter-Mobley-Allen lineup and it has a god damn +55.6 net rating. Max Strus hasn’t played a second.

Is there concern that injuries and fatigue might derail a promising season? Yes. Should we be worried about “finding an identity” in early November? No. Shut up, Ethan Sands.

  6. First quarter of the regular season there is gonna be some bumps. Working through the injury bug, seeing what lineups work, just getting into the swing of things for the season. Kenny is a very competent head coach, they’ll figure it out.

  7. Cavs fans: all that regular season success means nothing. It’s all about the playoffs

Cavs fans after a loss on the second night of a B2B in November where the team arrived in the land at 3AM: The season is over this team is trash!!!

  8. Not worried at all; we don’t need to be a 1 or 2 seed; just top 6.

There are still, like, 69 games to go. We are making the playoffs and going to give it a good push.

I can see none of the guys going to hard and turning it on until later in the season to prevent injuries

Plus, who knows if any trades occur on the Cavs, or others, that will affect the seeding and conferences. That could also work in our benefit.

  9. The rebounding is something to be concerned about even with the injuries we’ve been having. We’ve just been consistently ass at crashing the glass for too many seasons for me to believe that we’ll flip the switch in the playoffs

  10. published on November 14th. what day do the playoffs start again? oh in April? How many games are left? oh 69 more before the playoffs?

Idk guys seems like the Cavs must be cooked. no time at all to figure this out before the playoffs.

  11. Funny how “It’s too early to draw conclusions about this squad” only applies when they’re winning.
