Why won’t Falcons give Bijan Robinson ball in red zone? | Fantasy Football Happy Hour | NFL on NBC
All right. Uh, let’s move on the ball. So, uh, Bejian Robinson, Connor, like I thought he was good coming out of college, but apparently apparently the Falcons, it’s now Arthur Smith and now Zack Robinson. No one wants to give this by this guy the ball near the goal line. It’s infuriating. Tyler Algier just keeps getting away with it over and over again. K. Gemma, by the way, Barry, we need an Alfred Morse level rant on the Falcons intentionally not wanting Bejon to tutty unless he was going to break a 60 yard. I mean, this is this is not like a fluke at this point. This is exactly who they are. They get in at the goal line and it’s Tyler Algier’s show on the season in goalto rushing situations. So inside an opponent’s 10 yard line. Tyler Algio has 13 carries. Bjan Robinson has four. Think about that. When they get in close, when the Atlanta Falcons bird up like to get in close, they’ve got a chance at a touchdown. They’re inside an opponent’s 10 yardd line. Bean Robinson literally has four touches on the season. Tyler Algier has 13. That’s more than three times. Did that math in my head. I don’t want to brag, but I literally just did that right now. 13 to four. Jay, explain it. Well, the problem is at it. Yeah. The problem is Tyler Al is actually really good and he’s and I’m not sure it’s like the optimal decision to go away from him at the goal line when he is so good in short yardage. This isn’t a situation like trying to think of a clear situ. You know when like everyone wanted Felix Jones to get more carries on the Cowboys and stuff and he had like veterans in front of him. It’s not like that where Tyler Algier is actually Tyler Algier is probably one of the top 12 14 running backs in the NFL. I think he’ll be starting next year. Yeah, because he’s a free agent. Yeah, right. I think somebody will pay Tyler Algier to be their workhorse back. He’s always been super efficient. All the underlying stuff has been good to him. And now the tell is that this is two different offensive coaching staffs that have believed in him like, “Yeah, this is the right thing to do.” They’re also they need receivers in Atlanta because it’s Drake London and then Pray for Rain at this point and Bejian Robinson is playing a lot at receiver because they need him out there. So that’s difficult. 40% of the team’s red zone rush is Bjun Robinson. So literally it’s like like 60 to 40 um uh for Tyler Algier. He’s got two rushing touchdowns on the season. Bean Robinson has two rushing touchdowns on the season. I have a question. Go wide please if we can go wide here for a second. I have a I have a question. I have a question. Keep following me. Following me. Following me. Here’s my question. Where where is he? Where is We don’t have a ramen. We don’t have a bejan ramen. Oh, yes we do. Oh, yes we do. Oh, see it’s so so buried. That’s right. It’s buried. And so it’s way down here. Can you see it? Way down here. Way in the back. The NFL behind it. All of this. Yeah. Just take it off. It’s stuck. It’s stuck. Yeah. This This is not a good scene. This is bad television. Are we What are we doing with this? We love you, Bejan, but I’m just Is it wall worthy? Put a po Stephen, put a poll in the chat. He’s wall worthy. Look at this wall. I could probably name seven guys that he’s over the wall. Chris Olive and Bruce Hol. Should we replace Bej I want to poll I want to poll in the chat. Should we replace Should we replace Ban Robinson on the wall with Tyler Algier? It’s an honest question. It’s an honest question. I won’t stand for this. This is bad bad chat. Robinson’s in like the the upper 50% of this blitz. Yeah, there you go. I’m just Ken Walker’s on the wall. It’s not his fault. It’s not Bejan’s fault. We love Bejan. It’s not his fault, but the fact of the matter is is that he’s now had uh under 11 fantasy points in two of the last three games. This is the guy that went top five in every draft across the country. Yeah. Well, but to Connor’s point, OG is a free agent, so everyone who’s drafted in the past three years summer will be very excited about him. Sure. Sure. A little more player. But my point is is I think value him going forward. He’s an RB2. He is. Wow. I’m not sure that I voted in the poll. No. Okay. No. Oh, that you you want him back on the wall. I want Bejan on the wall. There aren’t 10 running backs I’d take over. Bejian rest of the fantasy football. Fantasy football. It’s unbelievable. He’s still putting up points without basically ever scoring because he’s that good and he gets enough touches. It’s just not in play the Saints yet. They still got two Saints games. Like he’s he’s going to be fine. Their schedule’s pretty easy. Yeah. Panthers, Saints, Jets, Seahawks. Yeah. See, see I’m not great, but everything else great. Just it’s frustrating. Very, very frustrating, I think. Anyway, Drake London and Detective Drake London, friend of the podcast. Actually, both Bejon and Detective Drake London are friends of the podcast. Whatever. Hey, it’s Matthew Barry from NBCports.com and Rotororld.com. As a Bijan owner watching JT run for 200+ and 3 TDs in the same game, it is extremely frustrating. Not sure if I should just sell Bijan at this point. The coaching staff and players calling is a complete joke.
It's simple: their OC is a moron and he is why they lost that game yesterday. You have TWO RBs averaging over 5 ypc and yet, you allow you inaccurate, concussed QB to throw 3 straight incompletions on 3 of the final 4 drives. WTH man? Run the ball, kill the clock, win the game.
Bijan is now a risky flex play.
100% play calling. You have the best player in the league and a sub par QB. So your play calling is throw the football every down? Lol, the most absurd thing. Even the panther figured it out after a game back with Hubbard, Rico was the guy!! Your 3-6, give the ball to Robinson idiots!
Why won't the Broncos keep JK Dobbins on the field when in the Redzone?
To me, it’s not even the RZ that frustrates me most (though it def does). Allgier scores so it makes sense. What doesn’t make sense is his lack of involvement everywhere else. Why is Kyle Pitts getting more looks on a drive than Bijan? Why do they go to 3 inept passes after a solid first down run? Coaches seem to know how to get value out of London but why are they treating Bijan like an afterthought?
Evan Jonathan Taylor is saying to Bijan that he is him.. he deserves to be great. Atlanta is clearly holding him back and its frustrating to watch. I dont own Bijan in any of my 4 leagues. Just being honest.
Let’s throw the ball ten feet over Mooney’s head instead of giving the ball to one of the best backs in the league. I thought Arthur Smith was bad. . .
I just traded Bijan for Achane…the guy agreed just because Achane still has his bye in week 12…but i'd rather Achanes ability to score in every game…and Miami basically force feeds him
I'm starting Gibbs, Jacobs, and Dowdle and benching Bijan this week.
yes allgier is a great running back and a tough red zone bulldozer but i promise you if bijan is used liked JT and jacob’s and he IS the offense and running down defenses and used in the red zone they’ll win almost every game with that defense holding up amazing this season
Allgeier is the RB1 in my opinion should also be the starting RB for the Falcons
The Falcons current coaching staff is idiotic. They should be fired if the ownership ever wants to actually be a winning team again. It doesn't matter if Tyler is good. Yes he is a solid talented running back who could start on many teams in the league. Bijan is still far superior a talent and player. If they used Bijan as a true number 1 or workhorse back and gave Bijan all the red zone carries, he would do just as well as Tyler or better. Bijan could be having a historic season right now if Tyler wasn't there taking away all his carries and touchdowns. Bijan would be right there with JT this year, Bijan would be putting up CMC or Saquon type numbers of the past. Atlanta is totally wasting his talent, and if Bijan stays in Atlanta with their idiotic coaches, he's going to waste his best years and waste his career.
