Peter Schrager’s Week 10 winners + MUST-WATCH NFC West showdown ๐ฅ | The Schrager Hour
And the two teams I want to talk about are the Rams and the Seahawks because as much as we circled this game Packers Eagles is like NFC Championship preview. Uh hello the Rams and the Seahawks could very well be the top two teams in the NFC right now. Let’s start with the Rams. Matthew Stafford on an ungodly torid pace right now in what he’s doing. 20 touchdowns, zero interceptions his last four games. 20 touchdowns, zero interceptions his last four games. MVP like start to the season. And if it wasn’t for what Drake May is doing, I think we might be saying it’s a runaway MVP for the 37year-old Matthew Stafford. But what Shawn McVey is doing, who by the way was a guest a couple weeks back, he’s got this new deal where he’s playing four tight ends at once and then they just pound you with Kieran Williams and Blake Corum and then you’ve got two of the best receivers in Nua and Adams. The offense is great. The defense has been good and they’re going up against a Seattle team that has been just as impressive. They were up 35 to nothing against the Cardinals in the first half this week and it’s the third different time they’ve had a 30-point lead in the first half of a game or they’ve scored 30 points in the first half of a game this season. That’s wild. Their defense is loaded. Three guys in the middle, Demarcus Lawrence, who by the way the Cowboys said we’re good without you. Um, obviously Leonard Williams, a guy who played for the Giants and the Jets in this market and is now having a career resurgence in Seattle. He’s in there. And then Big Byron Murphy has been great. Great. Um, they are so good on defense. I cannot wait for this one. Odd that it’s it’s not a Sunday night game. Odd that it’s not a, you know, a spotlight game with Brady and Burkhard. From what I gather, it’s Olsson and Davis, which is a fine crew. Obviously, everyone loves what Greg and and Joe do, but not being positioned as like the game of the week, which is strange to me. Um, it seems like the NFL, if you want to get into the broadcasting weeds, kind of put a fortress around this Broncos Chiefs game, not thinking that the Rams and Seahawks would be an electric game. It is. That’s the game of the week. That might be the game of the season. And it’s part one of part two as far as the two most impressive teams in the NFC up until this point. I know the Eagles beat the Rams, but like right now if you’re saying who’s playing the best football, it’s the Rams and the Seahawks, and they’re going to go at it. And I cannot wait for this one. It’s at Sofi. It’s interesting. It’s a good one. Um, our player of the week, though, doesn’t come from either one of those teams. It comes from a guy who uh was on this podcast earlier this season and obviously went to Berlin and showed what he’s got on the world stage. Jonathan Taylor had 32 carries for 244 yards, three rushing touchdowns, also had three catches for 42 yards. and it was the most rushing yards and scrimmage yards ever in an international game. And he did that in a in a game where it was back and forth at the Atlanta Falcons. Jonathan Taylor is on an absolutely torid pace right now. And if it wasn’t for the fact that we don’t vote quarterbacks as MVP every year, you would have Jonathan Taylor right there in the conversation. In fact, almost a more interesting race right now is who is the offensive player of the year? Let’s say the quarterback position wins MVP. Offensive player of the year is either going to go to Jonathan Taylor or Jackson Smith and Jigba right now. I cannot wait to see how this plays out. Both teams are electric. Both teams are playing well, but Seahawks and Colts, who had either one of these guys in that conversation before the season starts. I love that. Our sports media winner of the week, though, is a current player. And not a current player who has a podcast that’s higher on the charts than this one, but a current player who spent his by-week watching football. Yes, Patrick Mahomes is my sports media winner of the week and it’s for the fact that he decided to spend his bye-week at college game day down in Leach, Texas to be a part of an electric atmosphere. I got to tell you, I’ve never been to Leach, Texas. I know the people who went there and let’s start with Cliff Kingsbury. Let’s go to Danny Amandola. Let’s go to Patrick Mahomes. Those three guys that I know pretty well. All three of those guys like bleed Texas Tech. So I was a little bit skeptical when you’ve got some games like Iowa or you’ve got Alabama LSU that game day was going Texas for a BYU Texas Tech game and then I put the TV on and I started on Friday. This coach Joey Maguire came on McAfee on Friday and had me running through a wall like I’ve met Joey one time at the draft a couple years back and he was cool and it was great and I was like all right here comes Texas Tech. He came from that rules team at Baylor and he comes over here and I’m like all right this guy’s interesting. He had me ready to run through a wall. former high school coaching legend uh was at uh with Matt Rule for a couple years and then comes over here to Texas Tech and has been unbelievable. So you have him getting me ready to run through a wall with McAfee. You’ve got an incredible vibe early in the morning there and then you have this moment from McAfee and Mahomes and then that pony that horse going off into into the sunset. Unbelievable moment. Take a listen. This is the This is the football God’s dream. This is God’s country. This is the Texas Tech Red Raiders time and I’m rolling with the Texas Red Raiders in the biggest game in the history of B. Now there is a pony that’s about to hit his field. The name of said horse is Centennial Champion. What it leads is a group of men who represent an area of Texas that epis epitomizes loyalty, family, tradition, and football. Patrick Mahomes, you’re an icon, brother. Love it. Texas, you are beautiful. And today, you’re about to witness a game that’s going to showcase the Big 12’s best. And we got a masked rider. That’s beautiful. That’s football. Seen it. [Applause]

Good pacing keeps the viewer engaged naturally โฝ๐
I donโt get what Drake Maye is doing thatโs so much better or even close to Stafford. The Rams if not for special team lapses could be undefeated. Heโs played better teams and better defensesโฆ. Where is this Drake Maye narrative coming from? It was cool a week or two ago but Stafford has separated himself since.
Why acting like blowing out cardinals is a surprise, but bring up Darold still turning the ball over. Rams will capitalize on those.
Seattle O line is in the bottom half of the NFLโฆ.๐ Rams O line is in the top half of the NFL. Could very well be a long day for Samโฆ.๐
The winner of this game between the Rams and Seahawks becomes the current best in the NFC.
Seahawks O line is one of the best pass blocking in the game. And Seahawks D line is much better than the lambs
Stafford is the MVP and Rams are the best team in the league
As a Hawk fan, I'm happy it's Davis and Olsen doing the call. Brady is godawful. Olsen is probably the best commentary guy in broadcasting right now. Brady only gets the big exposure games because of his name.
As long as seattle does not turn the ball over i see them winning
Btw Joe Davis sucks so i am actually annoyed by that one
Hate to say it. Rams might be on silent count. But Glock9 does that with ease.
Get you facts straight Schrager!! Stafford has 20 TDs with 0 interceptions in the last 6 games; you kept saying 4 games!!!!
Stafford will prove heโs a lock at the top for MVP and Rams will prove theyโre the truth Sunday ๐๐๐
" 20 TD's last 4 games": Dear Peter, Matthew Stafford has thrown 4/4/5 TD's his last THREE games — are you trying to sell us that he threw SEVEN TD's in the other game? Peter, men of your renown can't be making silly mistakes like this. You'll lose your status FAST.
Love Schrager, but Kyren deserves to have his name pronounced correctly. ๐
Seahawks are hot right now. Seahawks winning this
Seattle played a high school team, that's why they got 35-0
The disrespect to Jonathan Taylor is wild
2024 Hawks are like Eli Mannings Giants & LAR = Randy Moss Patriots.
โค Yo stats mate
The SEAHOES beat the sorry ahh cardinals twice! They aint beat NOBODY!!! FOH we blowing they ahh out dis weekend (-10) or better and we're winning a chip at our second home too…..SOFI NORF! ๐ค๐ฟ ๐ฏ
They won't play 4 tight ends against woolen and Emanwori
Stafford has been seeing pretty open fields. Than changes Sunday.
Rams 20-17
my annual pilgrimage to Sofi form Canada is for the Rams/Seahawks, what a pick
I'm not buying the bull$hit they are hyping the Seahawks with…The Seahawks have beat the following teams….Saints (Trash), Cardinals (Trash), Jaguars (Trash), Commanders (Trash), Cardinals again (Trash X2), Steelers (Hot garbage), Texans (Not good)…and oh by the way, they barely beat the Cardinals, Jags, and Texans. The two teams they lost to surprisingly have good records, the 49ers and the Buccaneers. So no, I'm not buying this Seahawks juggernaut BS!! Those stats and record is against BS teams while the two losses are good teams.
Rams are going to trounce the Seahawks by double digits and do Sam Darnold the same way they did him in the two games they beat him last year!!
Rams 34
Seahawks 17
