Patriots Just Got A WAVE of GOOD News! | New England Patriots

The New England Patriots just got hit with a wave of good news after their big win against the New York Jets. Let’s talk about it. My name is Aaron on the Daily Patriots content. Don’t miss out. All you got to do subscribe notification bell. Boom. Hit that like button. What’s there not to like? The Patriots are moving on up 9 and2 and they’re rolling. Two more games then they got to buy. Then they got the Bills. Things are looking up for the Patriots and hopefully we get a nice long rest. injured players can come back and then we’re even just clicking on all cylinders, baby. So, today we got to talk a lot about a lot of different things. In particular, three big things that I think are great for the Patriots moving into this next game against the Bengals. Uh, and then the Giants, then a by-week. A lot to talk about, but first and foremost, what I want to jump into is the defensive line. Milton Williams, we saw went out yesterday, uh, ankle injury, could have went back in, but did not. And Mike Vrabel hinted at the fact that, hey, you know, we made the decision that, hey, we’re going to we’re just going to go ahead and start the treatment of this thing and move forward. Listen, he gets longer rest going into that game against Cincinnati at Cincinnati next Sunday. So, that is that is big. And when it comes down to it, hey, if if we needed to go him to go in, he could have win it. So, I don’t think we need to panic and and start saying, “Oh my goodness, Milton Williams, he’s going to be out.” is not good. Listen, if he needed to go back in, could have gone back in. I think this was the smart move going forward. But I think out of this, what was really cool to see and Mike Vrael talking about, hey, his leadership, uh, uh, you know, really showed in this moment because he was upstanding, uh, excited for the players, showing his leadership, uh, and showing, hey, I still have a presence on this team even though I’m not on the field, which is huge, which you want to see. And again, is is showing this culture just keeps getting better and better. love to see it on Mike Frael. But specifically the good news in the defensive line, we see Milton Williams should be all right. Going to be okay going into that Bengals game getting extra rest. But as well, I think I would be an idiot not to say Christian Bar literally only almost had three sacks in a row. Had his first sack of the season as well. Elijah Ponder being a rotational piece off the edge is really continuing to prove why he earned a spot on this 53man roster. Again, I think a lot of people have said if there’s one thing that needs to improve more or that’s been way too up and down, it’s been the edge rushing. But I think Ponder uh is showing, hey, there’s here here’s the reason I’m on this team. I have the talent. I have that raw talent. I’m being developed and you love to see it. And you love to see Christian Barour get that sack and show his dominance even when you don’t have Milton Williams in there, which is is huge. The man is an out. He’s like a bear out there. It’s crazy. And so I think looking at this from the perspective of just the defensive line, there’s a lot of good news that we can get out of that. Milton Williams going to be okay. Christian Barmore, I feel like this game was uh hopefully will spur him on onto more games where he’s going to continue uh to get pressure on the quarterback like he did uh and just be an absolute menace out there. I love menace. I feel like that’s my go-to word. I love that word. Uh and then as well, Elijah Ponder. absolutely showing us uh the potential that he has off the edge and and and let’s all say this, Justin Fields is athletic. He’s hard to contain. Um and so it’s it’s impressive to get him down. It is. I I truly think it is. And there was other times they could have they could have had sacks. Christian Barour could have had sacks and he slipped away. Um but that being said, they still we got two out of those guys. Um and I think there’s a lot of things looking up for this defense. So, love to see it. Comment below on the Dline. I feel like that’s the first good bit of news. All those different aspects of the defensive line moving forward. Uh, next up, we got to jump into the box score. And specifically, I want to look at Trayvon Henderson. Trayvon Henderson set some records last night for the Patriots organization as well, just having another uh great performance. I’m not going to tell you rushing wise. You look at his average uh yards per carry, three and a half. Not ideal. Uh but when it comes down to it, he had almost 100 yards total offense between receiving and rushing, three total touchdowns, and continues to show why he was picked in the second round. And I think though it’s a bummer Raandre Stevenson’s out because he has had his games this year where he’s been very dominant uh and and shown that yes, he he still deserves a a good amount of touches and carries when it comes to this offense, but it’s great to see a young rookie player like Trayvon Henderson get out there and have a great performance and when when he needs to get the ball into the end zone. And so it’s I I think that’s huge. Even though there was some woes in the offense yesterday, I I think we could all agree there was times yesterday offensively you kind of were like I feel like if this this other team had an offense that was capable of taking advantage of, you know, the Patriots kind of offensive wos at times and certain drives, uh this would have been a a frustrating game. But the Patriots I feel like could have easily put up high30s if not low 40s. I think they could. I think they just shot themselves in the foot a couple times. But again, I would rather that happen now against as my as my buddy Vic would say against an app state um a lesser team than a really good team because a really good team is going to take advantage of that. And again, this is even getting a win offensively without some key contributors in Kan Booty, which I feel has been has been pro noticed in that vertical threat. uh as well as uh Raandre Stevenson, but highlighting Trayvon Henderson. Love to see that. And when he scored the the first one where he was pushed into the end zone, uh Jared Wilson out there pushing him, Will Campbell out there pushing him. Uh obviously Trayvon Henderson, Kyle Williams was also out there. If that doesn’t get you excited that there’s a young core on this team, I don’t know what to tell you. But again, offensively, Trayvon Henderson continuing to show he was worth he was worth his weight in gold. He was worth that pick in the second round and that the Patriots made a smart move in getting him and moving forward. It should only get better for him. And I love love to see that. So, comment below, tell me what you think, whether that’s good news about the defensive line, those different aspects, uh Trayvon Henderson specifically, aspects of the offense that looked good yesterday. And I’d even get into M. Collins uh and and Stefon Diggs who led uh the team in receiving uh in in in different aspects in that area. Uh and even the the offensive line only giving up one sack. Uh though it wasn’t a pretty one. Um things were looking better. There was there was ups and downs offensively. Ups and downs. And I would agree defensively too. There are some times you’re like, “How in the world are the Jets driving on us right now?” Uh but they were. Ladies and gentlemen, we are still in the heart of football season and that means a lot of different things. Hanging out with the guys, chilly, screaming, crying, laughing, who the heck knows? But when it comes down to it, we know one thing that makes it fun, and proves a point, all those different things, is putting a little money on the game. But the whole, if you watched live yesterday, I talked about the whole time most of his passes were literally dump off passes, uh, to the tight end. So, look at that. two tight ends right here, Rucker and Taylor, four of four, 30 yards, 23 yards. Literally just dump off passes. That that was they would literally just sit in the middle of the field. That’s all they did. They’re very uh their passing game for the most parted one-dimensional and then their rushing is you do have Bree Hall and Justin Fields um that you know, you got to you got to respect because they they can run. So, comment below what what do you think about Trayvon Henderson in this offense. I think there’s some optimism specifically from Henderson and other areas we can take from this uh in moving forward into the Bengals game, but I’m pumped to see him dominating as Raandre Stevenson is out. Last but not least, I want to jump into the schedule as a whole. Um I think what’s huge in the schedule that we have not really talked about much yet is moving forward. This almost sets up perfectly. You you do have a Bengals game that I think is going to be tougher than people think. We will see. Um, but two games that are very winnable for the Patriots. Then they go into a by-week, get some rest, and then they take on the Bills at home. I absolutely love that. And that is that is good for the Pat. I think a lot of people, you know, you and this is how it should be. It should be taking it one team at a time, week by week, which I I don’t disagree, but think of the schedule right now and why this is good. Do you play a Thursday night game? You get a whole lot more rest. Get those injured guys more rest. Get them healthy. You play the Bengals, you play the Giants. Hopefully two easy wins and then you move into the bye-week where you get more rest. Love it. And technically you’re getting more rest after that Bengals game, too, because it’s a Monday night game against the Giants. And I will be streaming that live, so don’t miss that. So the schedule right now and and you finish the season after the Bills and the Ravens with the Jets and the Dolphins. So, I think there’s a lot of good things so far and and the schedule as well as a whole strength of schedule remaining is one of the easiest if not the easiest for the Patriots. So, I’m telling you though, yes, yesterday if you watch that whole game from start to finish, there was great moments, there was frustrating moments. Again, I would rather that happen against a team like the Jets as opposed to a team like the Bills or the or the Ravens. But when it comes down to it, the Patriots got the win. moving forward. A lot of optimism we can look at, whether that’s the defensive line and those different aspects, whether it’s young players like a Trayvon Henderson who it continues to show uh how valuable he is to this team and this offense. Uh as well as just the schedule moving forward and how it’s very uh uh it’s great how it all falls together for the Patriots moving forward. Uh, I I think there’s a lot a lot to be optimistic about and a lot and and I didn’t think I’d be saying this and you’re going to laugh at me, but yeah, I think I think the number one seed is is very doable for sure. AFC number one seed very doable. We’ll see. But yeah, I said it at the beginning of the year. Do you think I was going to say that? No. I think a lot of people are like, I think you’re crazy that you think they can make the playoffs. Me, I’m not crazy now. Not crazy now. sound kind of crazy talking to myself to a camera saying that, but it is what it is. Anyways, comment below. Uh, Giants, look forward to that live in a couple weeks.
