The NBA just BLESSED This Raptors Guard…
The NBA has blessed this Raptors guard. As we know, the Raptors have entered this season with a reloaded roster with lots of stars out there on this team. But one specific rule change will play very much in the favor of RJ Barrett being one of the team’s next all-stars. So, we’ll discuss that, including some injury updates for tonight’s game against the Pacers, as well as a shocking finish to a Raptors 905 game, as we have some budding players out there, that 905 group that are making some noise for this squad. So, lots of stuff to break down in this video, folks. I can’t appreciate the support enough. You guys have been awesome out there supporting the channels of late, the streams, the videos, and we are so so close to 40,000 subscribers. So, make sure if you’re enjoying the daily Toronto Raptors content, you guys hit that subscribe button because I don’t want you to miss a single thing that’s going on with this team. But, let’s dive into it because, of course, the Raptors are reloaded this season. There’s no other way to put it, right? Our star talent, our tandem on the wing with RJ Barrett, Scotty Barnes, Brandon Ingram has been nearly unstoppable on the offensive end. You know, with how they’ve been able to put in points when one guy’s off, the other guys are on and they’re able to cook. Emanuel quickly over the past five games has just been electrifying at the point guard position knocking down shots, knocking down threes. Our defense looks shred up with Yaka Purle back in the lineup. Of course, we do need more insurance on this squad, but that’s for another video. And the bench has been great, specifically, you know, our Jamal shed, our shed heads out here. You have leading the charge out there with this bench unit. There has been a lot of positives to take away from this season. And we take a look at the standings as well, right? The Raptors right now are the seven seed in the Eastern Conference, but have one of the easiest schedules in the NBA over the next month and are literally a game out of the second seed New York Knicks who just lost Jaylen Brunson. So, there’s a realistic possibility the Raptors are able to go on a run very, very soon. And that has led to some people, you know, turn heads, hey, could we have some Allstars out here on this roster? Now, Scotty Barnes is looking like a lock for the Toronto Raptors right now with his performance, how well he’s been playing, his stats, and everything like that, but one guy that has uh, you know, turned some heads early on in the season is RJ Barrett. Now, his last couple games have been bad. Don’t get me wrong. You know, you take a look at his box scores and stuff. You know, the the percentages have gone down, have been uh brutal out there over the last couple games. 07 from the three-point line, 03 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. So, 0 of 10 on his last three-point shots. But before that, he was one of the most efficient guards in the NBA, averaging pl 20 plus points per night and just re looked really, really sharp out there in the game. So, what are we talking about allstar? Is there a realistic possibility? In the old system, I wouldn’t bet on it, but uh in the new system, there has been some changes. So, uh there was an article written by Raptors Rapture. I’ll give the credit, you know, where it pointed me to this. I did some more research on it, but an All-Star loophole might have RJ Barrett to get his all-star shot this season. So, what the heck is this? So, I went to ESPN and had a look at what’s going on and Tim Bomb has broken down very, very well. So, the essentially the NBA has adjusted their all-star formats and adjusted everything like that to make it such that the All-Star game is going to have three teams this season. Two teams representing the United States and one team representing the rest of the world. So, it’ll be USA versus USA versus World. You know, one of those weird organized games like a game of pickup and stuff. They’re trying to make the All-Star game more competitive and how the rosters are selected is where things get very, very interesting. So, we’ll take a look at this here right now. So, Tim Bonmp’s broke down how the league has answered another lingering question. What happens if those 24 players, so out of those three teams of eight guys don’t evenly break down to 16 American players and eight international players? Would there be uh would the league force the voting to adhere to those numbers? Well, he goes on to say that the solution is that the player pool doesn’t reflect the 168 split, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver will make extra players to the roster to get the minimum 16 Americans or the minimum eight international players. So, if there are 14 Americans and 10 international players, Silver would name two more Americans to get the 16 player minimum. And that and if that was an 18 to6 split, he would name two international players to get to the eight player minimum. So, what the heck does this have to do with anything? Why are we bringing up RJ Barrett here? Well, RJ Barrett, for those that don’t know, is a Canadian and he’s putting up numbers that are on that brink of allstar caliber, all-star numbers. Even with those two games he struggled in lately, 19 points per game, five rebounds, four assists, you 33% of the three-point line, those the efficiency has to get back up in order for him to even be in the conversation, in order for him to be back into the discourse, back into the discussion. But if we take a look at the allstars that were named last season, there aren’t many players that are outside the United States. Now, you do have Giannis, you have Carl Anthony Towns, who represents the DR. I believe there’s he’s American DR, so I don’t know what uh nationality they specifically lay him into. Uh and then also in the Eastern Conference, you have Pascal Seakkum, who is of course from Cameroon. And then you don’t have any other American outside of Americans out there in the Eastern Conference. So that is one thing to look at. In the west, in the west you of course have Shay Gildas Alexander, you have Nicooli Jokic, you have Shangun, you have Victor Webmanyama, four guys out there. So, eight guys that uh or sorry, seven guys that were on the team last season. Now, if there’s a you know, if we’re going off of last season now, there’s a bunch of guys that could be on the way up, on the way out. All-star rosters are always changing, adjusting every single year. But if the NBA is scrambling for one more world player, you Josh Giddy of course has been awesome for the Chicago Bulls, he’ll be ahead of RJ Barrett here in the the Steex at this point. But RJ Barrett, if he gets back to the efficiency that he had, if he was doing what he was doing early on in the season, and the Toronto Raptors are one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference, which I think they have a realistic possibility of doing, especially where they’ve gotten through the really grinded out part of the schedule, really unscathed, so to speak, and you know, they’re on a win streak right now and they can come out and beat the Pacers tonight, really uh assert themselves in the top upper echelon in the Eastern Conference. I wouldn’t be shocked if we see RJ Barrett out there in the starting lineup. you know, of course, I think Scotty Barnes is the most deserve it, you know, guy right now, but um Scotty’s going to be in the American group group, American pool, but uh don’t be surprised if R.J. Barrett sneaks his way into an All-Star team this season. Not saying it’s guaranteed going to happen, but the NBA has blessed him in that regard. So, interesting developments there. We also have some injury updates for tonight’s game to break down as Colary Boils is still dealing with his illness and Oiabaji is dealing with that lumbar strain are both questionable for this game Saturday. Mo and the and the two-ways are with the Raptors 905. They’re all in action Friday as well. And we’ll break down this game on top of it, but still no Col Murray Boils, which uh you know, he’s dealing with an illness right now. So, wishing a speedy recovery for him. Oi’s been struggling to get meds out there on the roster right now. He’s been uh pushed back in the depth chart a tad bit. So, uh interesting stuff. Again, we need some more front court depth. It’s good news that Sandre Mckel is really neck stiffness. He played the last game. It’s good that it didn’t aggravate his neck stiffness and he is back playing tonight. So that’s a positive and especially with mobile with the 905, you don’t have a lot of front court depth. Wishing a speedy speedy recovery for Colin Murray Boils. But talking about the 905, talking about what’s going on, we had an electrifying game out there for the Raptors 905 as AJ Lawson ended up hitting a game winner against the Westchester Knicks. And there’s a lot of guys playing uh very impressive basketball for uh the Raptors 905 here right now. again, AJ Lawson, six of 15 shooting, so not the most efficient night, but uh you know, four of eight from the three-point line, 21 points, four assists, four steals. A guy that’s just a tier above the G- League in my opinion. So, he’s been playing well. Sar is one guy that I’m keeping an eye on because the Raptors do need some depth out there in the front court and he’s a long wiry guy that can space the floor as well. We’re seeing how effective Mamu Kelli can be as a stretch big man for the Toronto Raptors. So, Olivia S looking good. Mo didn’t take over this game by uh any stretch of the imagination, but he’s down there providing some positive impact. Uh Chucky Heburn, four of 11 from the field, you know, 12 points, getting a couple steals, turn over the ball a little bit, but uh nine assists. He can be a floor general, knock down some shots. Elijah Martin, not the most efficient night, you know, 15 points though in in this game. And uh and David Rody also looking fairly good out there off the bench for uh the Toronto Raptors, 905. So there’s a lot of guys an interesting development there. guy that was literally in our rotation when we won the NBA championship in Patrick McCau, a guy that Nick Nurse loved to death. He is uh it’s crazy. This guy’s not even getting mints out there in the G- League right now. So, it’s uh it’s an interesting spot the the Raptors 905 and they’ve been a very very exciting team and AJ Lawson continues to prove why he deserves a shot out there with the big club, but not right now because we are so bloated out there at the wing positions. But let me know what you guys think about all this in the comment section down below. You guys have best think far. Subscribe to the channel if you guys haven’t already. Anyways, I’m signing out.
The Toronto Raptors have reloaded with talent this season, and now, with a change in the NBA’s rules, they might have more All-Stars than expected. Ben Rogers breaks down this latest development, as well as multiple injury updates, and AJ Lawson’s game-winner for the 905.

1st to predict another win!
Let’s go!
It’s driving me crazy every time I see you have Brandon Ingram as a Power forward… please change this. Scottie is playing the 4 and not BI!
Team international is NASTY rn tho.
SGA
Luka
Giannas
Siakam
Jokic
Wemby
That team alone is unbeatable
I don’t think there is a single US team that comes close to
Even all time that team is hard to beat Lbh
Go Raptors.
My thing is Quickley plays for himself. Purely for himself. It’s tough to watch he loves looking for his first then a pass secondary and he ain’t it. Matchups favor him the odd game but the rest is busted
Buddy rj is not even close to being an allstar and Scottie and b.i would be getting it before that guy. Why do you talk about rj so much. He hasn’t even been good over his last 5 after a “strong” start
Rj Barrett is not a “guard” ffs why do you keep saying that. The guy is a damn small forward. That’s annoying me
im hoping the pacers' game will give rj a chance to get back into rhythm
