[Dhaliwal] There is no discipline coming for Andrei Svechnikov and his elbow on Filip Hronek last night.

  1. D-Petey gets hit from behind by Olivier, no discipline.

    Svechnikov elbows Hronek, no discipline.

Dickinson boards Chytil from behind last year, no discipline.

There are so many examples of this league-wide, it’s an absolute joke. This league literally is waiting for a player to be killed on the ice or have a life-altering injury before they make any changes to the DoPS and even then – they probably won’t change anything.

  2. What a joke, you have fans from all over the league saying “this should be 4 games” and it’s dirty as fuck, even cane fans were saying that, and then nothing. But as soon as a Canuck does something they get the fucking book thrown at them, fuck this.

  3. “So it’s actually not svechnikovs fault; it’s hroneks fault that his head happened to be where svechnikovs elbow was, while he just happened push his head into the boards”

  4. This season I believe they brought in new refs from lower level leagues, and so many wrong calls/non-calls have been made. NHL reffing has always been a butt of jokes, but I don’t think I’ve seen it this bad.

Of course Parros has to keep up not to make them look even worse.

  5. I’m convinced. The league is only interested in manufacturing goals. A little stick on stick tap, slash. Stick lift, hooking. Guys diving over your stick, tripping. Elbow to the head. Hockey play.

I guess if you die you die.

  6. Not even a fine. No wonder people ride the seven seas instead of paying for overpriced packages.

  7. I was skeptical of some earlier ones people mentioned

    But this seems terrible

Bang-bang instantaneous play (very liberal, definition) only explains so far

  8. This might be the stupidest explanation I’ve read in a long time. Svech clearly throws his elbow forward, and it’s high. How does Hronek moving forward change this at all? Was Svech aiming to elbow the boards in front of Hronek, but instead hronek’s head got in the way? Can someone explain what the fuck this is trying to say??

  9. So does this mean we get a free run at Aho or Jarvis with no punishment when we see them in March?

  10. I’d be more worried about the lack of response from Vancouver to those plays, brutal mentality for a team to have

  11. He literally throws the elbow targeting the head….if it was shoulder I’d say maybe hroneks movement could contribute to placement but this is 100% targeted.

On another note….when was the last time someone was suspended for a dirty play on a Canuck? I feel like the last 10 events I thought would be suspensions, every time I see someone say that dops isnt going to look at it.

  12. *Blatant elbow to the head with intent that forces a player to leave the game

    DOPS: Nothing to see here!
