McManus DOUBTFUL for tomorrow. Heath is OUT

  1. I find it sus that now McManus is doubtful after two games of a bad showing. Just to clarify, McManus was never healthy and we CARRIED two kickers on our active roster. Put him on IR and let the other guy kick for the job.

  2. Lol they have bundled this kicker situation so badly, and for no reason. He got spooked the replacement set the franchise record for longest FG and pushed to get back in the lineup a month before he was ready… and for some reason the coaches/front office didn’t see that was obviously what was happening. So dumb.

  3. So all week long we hear from Bisaccia about how McManus is “striking the ball well” and having good practices and now he’s doubtful. I get things can change day to day but this just confirms in my head that Havrisik should’ve been on the field the last two weeks

  4. McManus has been battling a quad injury for the last while. Idk why we didn’t put him on IR and have Havrisik kick. Gutey wants McManus when it gets cold, but he could have been healed and back kicking by now.

Heath did not travel. He was a coaches decision, no clue what’s going on there.

  5. So you’re saying this loser hasn’t really been healthy the whole time we’ve been letting him kick huh?

  6. What’s up with Heath?

Edit: I now know it’s the “coaches decision”, but I wonder what the reasoning behind it is 🤔

  7. McManus should’ve been put on IR a month ago. So fucking dumb. Wonder what Heath did to piss off the coaches?

  8. Crazy how the ignorance potentially cost us a game. Some of it is also on McManus for maybe saying “I’m not healthy”. I get he’s a competitor…but damn.

  9. I’m fine with Havrisik getting a look but let’s not pretend like he was going to make that 64-yarder. That made kick would be a top 5 best kick in league history with the elements brought into consideration. Simply wasn’t in the cards

  10. We lost 2 games by 3 points because this guy couldn’t kick, while the coaches were assuring everyone he was fine. Hope someone in the media presses MLF on this.

  11. Would have been doing better service to McManus and the team by letting him get healthy. Worst case Havrisik sucks and reaffirms that McManus is the franchises kicker.

  12. Unless I’m mistaken this now means Doubs is the only receiver to be active for every game. In the words of Vince – “What the hell is goin on out there”.

  13. McManus should never have returned when he did. All of the mixed messages around his health, followed by this, would all but confirm he was never fit enough to return and was rushed back. That’s proved to be incredibly costly.

I’m not suggesting Havrisik would have continued to have perfect record, and he showed some flaws at kick offs, but continuing with him for another couple of weeks to allow McManus to recover fully was such a no brainer. Ridiculous stuff.

  14. McManus needs to take care of himself. Sit this one out. Maybe even all the other ones idk just rest that leg buddy

  15. So McManus definitely rushed himself back when he saw Haversik make a couple of kicks fearing for his job. Which is hilarious because all that did was put his job in actual jeopardy.

  16. I like Bo but him getting snaps ahead of Heath last week was weird to me and this week seems to further validate something’s up there

  17. This just screams dogshit management/coaching. Every person in the world that watched knew he wasn’t healthy, and except the couple that were making decisions.

Genuine question, how does that happen?

  18. If we would’ve just put him on IR, we would’ve had Havrisik out there and probably still have Ben Sims on the roster

  19. Let’s all hope Havrisik hasn’t gotten cold riding the pine. None of us have considered what not playing this stretch of games has done to his mindset…

  20. He’s been doubtful since he was injured. That is both in his health and ability to kick

  21. Rich Bisacchia’s departure from this org can’t come soon enough. What a fucking disaster.

  22. Why the fuck was he even kicking the last two weeks? MLF and bissacia need to answer for this shit. It’s ridiculous.

  23. McManus was a massive help last year, but this feels like it might be the end of the road if Havrisik looks good tomorrow.

  24. I’ve been playing devil’s advocate when it comes to us starting McManus vs Havrisik these last couple of weeks, even if I was hoping we’d keep starting Havrisik. He may have been fantastic over those two weeks for us, but based on his history, there’s no way to know whether he’d keep it up.

*But* once we learned that McManus wasn’t 100% yet and then he struggled these past few weeks, this isn’t exactly a *great look*. Hindsight is 20/20, especially with kickers, but considering we lost the past two weeks by 3 points each time (albeit the missed kicks were far from the primary reason)…. it’s not a great look by the coaching staff

  25. Finally going for Havrisik only took two 3 point losses to figure that out. Better late than never I guess

  26. Brandon and they did too knew that he was still hurt. Instead of putting him on IR for him to get healthy they were selfish and played him costing us points.
