  1. That’s surprising considering it seems he hates us, although tbf the last ownership was shit

  2. Almost anyone but Adrian would have been ok, aside from any asshats like Giles, etc.

The field has at least 8 former Padres. Would have preferred any of them. Adrian works for Dodgers broadcast team, represented them in some home run derby event this past year, and affiliates way more towards the Dodgers and LA more than the Padres and SD.

  3. Nevin representing the Rangers? I feel he was a Padre way longer, plus I’d rather take him than Dodger great Adrian Gonzalez.

  4. Considering how many baseball players golf, this list of players MLB convinced to do this is kind of pathetic. So many of them don’t even make any sense, including the Padres.

  5. So we’re being represented by one guy who works for our rival and another guy who played 2 forgettable seasons for us at the end of his career? Fantastic.

  6. Adrian Gonzales was my favorite player growing up. That being said, terrible choice picking him.

  7. Really scraping the bottom of the barrel on this arent we? There are former Padres playing on other tandems more qualified to represent the Padres than Marquis (Nevin and Benes). Nevin barely played and was terrible on the Rangers.

  8. I feel like both parties should be weirdly annoyed by this lol. Padres fans and Dodgers fans.
