HUGE CANUCKS NEWS: DAVID KAMPF SIGNS + RYAN O’REILLY TURNED VANCOUVER DOWN
color me shocked that apparently some NHL trade targets from around the market would not be interested in coming over to the Vancouver Conucks. Well, get into that and more after talking about this right here. I wanted to open this video up by talking about Phil Herotic and the injury situation which we saw yesterday against Carolina. It was a pretty bad hit by one Andre Fetchnikov and one that Philipronic’s agent Alan Walsh went out there and specifically called out on Twitter. Here we go again. The National Concussion League open season on NHL players brains. No call on this play. If only the referee were in a position to have a clear view of the play. Now, unfortunately for Walshi here, the video quality he provides is pretty bad, but Phil Heronic is in the corner. He is trying to play the puck up and Fetchnikov ends up dummying him, leaning into Heronic’s head with the elbow. He initiates the contact here. He drives it forward into the glass and that ends up resulting in her leaving the game. We then saw ourselves Walshy talking about it even more. Peros and his merry band of kangaroos quietly plotting another fine. Cue the press release. Nownikov was not penalized on the play and Heronic was removed from the game from a concussion spotter. So that is how the Vancouver Conucks lost out on him. We had some other tweets that went over the situation here as well. Rick Dollywal says there is no discipline coming for Andre Fetchnikov and his elbow on Phil Heronic last night. While it could have been called a penalty on the ice, the movement of Heronic as he is moving the puck substantially contributes to the hit to the head rather than Heronic’s arm. So, you can take that interpretation how you will. I will say the video quality doesn’t really help. But when Heronic is shooting the puck out, he does kind of lean forward a little bit, which, you know, we’re not going to get into the semantics of that in this video. I just wanted to acknowledge that situation here before we continued. Adam Kir and Blood of the Hockey News went out there and tweeted this. Did Andre Fetchnikov elbow Herronic in the head? Yes. Did Herronic leave the game due to injury? Yes. He was pulled by a concussion spotter. The NHL’s Department of Player Safety said it’s Heronic’s fault for having a head in the first place. And then you have this. And then you have this individual frames. Yeah. No, that’s pretty substantial, I’d say. Anyways, if the Vancouver Conucks lose out on Phil Heronic for any extended amount of time, no Quinn, no Phil Heronic, welcome back, Victor Mancini, I guess you could say. The Vancouver Conucks are going to be in an even more dire injury situation and they’re going to have even more reason to try to contend for the playoffs because, oh, we’ve been hurt all year. Our team isn’t just bad, we’re hurt and that’s why we’re not winning any games. like, okay, speaking about acquisitions and trying to make the playoffs, let’s dive into some names that Vancouver has been linked to that we actually can provide updates on, including one that apparently straight up rejected the Canucks. Let’s go out there and see this here. Chem Robinson was speaking on Sakaris Price earlier in the week, and he said the Vancouver Conucks were poking around Ryan O’Reilly. From what he was told, O’Reilly is not interested. I think he’s looking, if he’s going to move, to jump to a very legitimate contender team. And one of the top replies shows Ryan O’Reilly with a contender team’s jersey on. Yeah, this would be pretty cool. Imagine seeing Ryan O’Reilly as a member of the Colorado Avalanche. It’s not like something we haven’t seen before, but still. Hearing supposedly that O’Reilly was in a spot to not be interested in Vancouver, that makes a lot of sense to me. Firstly, the Vancouver Conucks are one of the worst teams in the NHL. Straight up, when it comes to win percentage, points percentage, wins, and points in general, they’re not doing all too hot this season. So, if Ryan O’Reilly is being approached and he’s like, “Hey, you want to get traded out of Nashville? Give us some picks and prospects.” If they come up to him and they’re like, “Hey, what about Vancouver? You want to go there?” He’s like, “No, they’re not doing well. I want to go to a contender. And also, I think that should be acknowledged here that Ryan O’Reilly in Toronto, while he was very good with that system, he was not a fan of the spotlight. It did not seem like he was cool with the media pressure and just how many reporters and fans and media would get involved in the Maple Leafs business. It did not seem like Ryan O’Reilly was built for a big money, big volume market. So, I would understand as well if that contributes to his unwillingness to potentially explore a Vancouver Conucks move. Sure, I’m not saying that Vancouver is the hockey mecha center of the universe like Toronto is, but you could see how there are some parallels. Vancouver sports goes crazy for the Canucks and especially with a team like this that cannot seem to find wins, that cannot seem to stay healthy, that cannot seem to paint a productive moving picture for the team moving forward, especially with the owners and the management’s part in that. You can understand if Ryan O’Reilly is like, “Yeah, no, I don’t want to touch that. I don’t want to touch the media fire that is Vancouver hockey at the moment.” But we did have ourselves another update on a name that supposedly is more in the running for the Canucks. Take a look at this. Darren Dreger went out there and tweeted earlier this morning. Agent JP Barry and former Maple Leafs forward David Camp are going through the selection process and hope to have a decision tomorrow. Multiple teams have inquired. However, the list has been reduced to three clubs. Now the three clubs are rumored to have interest in camp are Vancouver, Pittsburgh and Montreal. But there could be Oh, Vancouver signed camp. Ah, okay. This happened. Uh, let’s go out there and read. Okay. Vancouver signed David Camp 1 year 1.1 million bucks. Oh, man. That is actually that happened live. That happened while we were recording the video. Okay. So, uh, yeah, we could just add this on to the other part of the video, but Vancouver has agreed to terms with David Camp. This is not surprising at all when you consider just what Camp can bring. Center winger, he is 30 years old. I was about to say 20ome. Yeah, no, 30. We straight up talked about this in yesterday’s video, but David Camp formerly was a top Czecha hockey player in the pro league over there. He found himself in the NHL with Chicago. Became a 19 point scorer in 63 games. Then found himself over in Toronto where he had scored a peak of 27 points in 82 games over there. He had 13 points in 59 games last year as a middle tobottom line center winger. And this year he ended up playing four games with the Marlies. Scored one assist. That’s it. He was sent down. He didn’t like that. He wanted to be given a bigger role in the National Hockey League. and the Maple Leafs were not able to do that. Yes, it’s true they lost out on Mitch Marner, but they ended up getting a whole bunch of other guys, which filled up the roster spots quickly, which made Camp’s role on the team obsolete, thus allowed him to go through a contract termination process, which we had highlighted yesterday, and which Camp would see himself get another NHL opportunity. He left $3 million on the table to bet on himself and to prove that he actually has NHL projectability. it just wasn’t going to happen with Toronto at this stage. So to see him head over to the Vancouver Conucks, this is of course a pretty big deal. Vancouver gets their center and with that in mind, you know, all of a sudden you hope Elias Patterson and his role on the team gets diminished a little bit. Not because Pey hasn’t been good. I will say that he’s probably been the best Vancouver Conucks player this year, but this guy has been taking every single face off. It seems he’s been charged up. They’re really working him hard. And you have to start asking yourself, too, like with Quinn Hughes, is it the best move to take your peak of the line players and toss them into every situation imaginable, play them 25 plus minutes a night? Is that the right idea? Especially when you’re trying to get the best out of them. Can you overwork Person? And I think with this signing, Vancouver is admitting to themselves that yeah, they maybe could, which is why you need to get another guy to fill in as a center, a reliable center. Hopefully, David Camp is going to be in Vancouver for 1 year, 1.1 million, and hopefully he’s a better center acquisition than Lucas Reichel. Let’s just say that. So with that in mind, let me know your thoughts in the comment section below about Ryan O’Reilly rejecting Vancouver, Philip Pronic and the injury situation, as well as David Camp signing with the team. I literally found out live as we were recording this video that the signing actually happened. So there you go. The Vancouver Conucks have made a signing. Thoughts in the comment section below. I hope you enjoyed this British Ash 9 and bye.

Hahaha awesome, happened live. I just saw the headline n had to find legorocks take on this. Keep on, keeping on!
Kampf is a 4th career 4th liner that never hit 30 pts…. waste of time just a body on the ice.
oreilly is a aging vet that isnt able to help his current team, he was always slow even when he was young so expect him to be even slower now so we dodged a bullet on that has-been wanting no part
How is Reichel a “failed trade acquisition” he hasn’t even been on the team for a month and I’m sure Kampf isn’t to be much better for his first bit of time here
WHY are we happy with ANOTHER mediocre player ??……
Quinn Hughes will for sure re-sign now
Why is nobody jumping these moefoes? Drop the gloves. Smackem in the mouth.
Fits right in with the rest of the not really going to matter when it counts canucks.
