The NBA Is TERRIFIED Of Kevin Durant & The Houston Rockets…
The Houston Rockets have won eight of their last nine games and they’re sitting comfortably in the third seat in the West with an 8 and3 record. It’s pretty impressive considering the fact that this team started off 0 and2. And the crazy thing is the Rockets, you do the math, they lost by a combined five points in those first two games to the Pistons who were the one seed in the East and the Thunder who are the one seed in the west. They’re doing this all without Dorian Finny Smith and Fred Van Vleet as well which makes it much more impressive than it already is. The reason why the Rockets are seeing so much success is because of their offensive firepower and really their defense leads in the offense. Like in this game, they got off to a very slow start, but then they started to put together stops. They forced takeaways. Even I even as he’s done all season went into a zone and it really just confused the Blazers. They had a hard time attacking it. And you kind of want to dare the Blazers to shoot the three ball. I mean, they got a couple of shooters, but overall the Rockets, they just they did way too much for the Blazers to be able to overcome. 41 in the first and 35 in the fourth. You’ve got to win those two quarters, especially at home against a young team that’s hungry. The Blazers came into this game with a winning record as well. So, they’re a competitive team. I mean, they might end up being a playoff team. I mean, they’re currently the ninth seed, so they’d be in the plant, right, right behind the Warriors. The West is just an absolute gauntlet, and that’s why Reed Shepard is so important to this team. He’s just stepped up the last really six games, and he’s played the best ball of his Young Rockets career. And it’s not even the fact he’s shooting, he’s scoring, it’s just diving after loose balls, getting out in transition. Remember, he had that rip on Giannis. And in this game, he ripped Denny, of course, off of a turnover and got an easy bucket. I think it was to a mend on the floor. This game was last night. I’m recording the next day, but you got to realize that, and we we made a video on Reed, so I’m not going to talk too much about him, but his impact has completely changed what the Rockets are doing. They went from a team that just they needed that jolt, that energy. They needed that peace without Fred, and he’s stepped up and done that. But in this video, I’m going to primarily be talking about Kevin Durant. It’s not a film breakdown, but he’s on the thumbnail. And for obvious reasons in this game, I mean, Durant once again got off to a very fast start in the first quarter. I believe Kevin Durant has scored over 20 in every game this season. Correct me if I’m wrong. I mean, he was a plus 37, which is obviously a game high. 12 of 19 from the field, and he finishes with 30 points. And he does it so effortlessly. Like Durant really, very rarely, rarely ever touches the ball. it just kind of finds him and then he just pulls up off of a jumper or it’s a wideopen spot up three. And I know I’ve said this a couple of times, but I think this is the easiest that Durant has ever had around him in his career. Cuz when he was with the Warriors, he was the finals MVP. He had to be a deadly sniper, of course, an assassin. When he was with the Thunder, he had to to pretty much do everything outside of Russ. And then now with the Rockets, it’s like, well, Durant, of course, in the half court when the game slows down, he has to get a bucket. But when you’re out in transition as consistently as the Rockets are, Durant is leaking out. He’s wide open because you can’t let you know a guy defend a man 101 downhill or Shangun or Nar like you basically have to okay outside of the way up I don’t know if there’s ever been a more dominant unstoppable shot to defend than Kevin Durant just off of a pullup. I mean, it’s just you can’t block it because he’s 7 foot with probably a 76 wingspan if I had to guess and he’s shooting it at the top of his release and it’s absolutely unblockable and it’s accurate. Like Durant, we know he’s going to score, but the reason why Durant has always been an all-time great and he has been for what I 20 years it feels like to this point of course when he went to Texas Hookum. It’s just the fact that his efficiency is through the roof. Like on the season, Kevin Durant is shooting 50.5% from the field from three 42.6 and he’s at 87.8% from the free throw line. So, you know, if I had to put money on it, I do think Kevin Durant will finish 50, 40, 90, and that really isn’t surprising because he has done that his whole career. You know, guys can only ever dream of making it, but Durant basically he’s averaging that. Like, it’s just ridiculous to think about and he’s getting it so easy. And I mean, the Rockets gave up Jaylen Green, Dylan Brooks, and a first round pick for Kevin Durant. I mean, Katie is playing some of the best ball of his career. Like, if we’re being completely honest, yeah, sure, the Suns have been playing well. And it’s not like the Suns didn’t get anything, but the Rockets won the trade. I don’t care what the Suns do this season. The Rockets got the best player. They got a top 10 player in my biased opinion to ever play the game of basketball. And James Harden, you, if you guys don’t know who I am, James Harden is my favorite player of all time. I love Harden. That’s how I got into basketball. That’s how I got into the Rockets when I was a kid. And I haven’t seen this type of greatness since James Harden, like not even remotely close. And obviously the Rockets were in a rebuild and trying to figure things out. But you go from James Harden who did all he had to do and now you bring Kevin Durant and it just reminds me every single night of that greatness in the building. And in order to win a championship, I don’t care what level. Like you need somebody out there that can do what Kevin Durant is doing. Very few teams have Durant. And that’s why the fact he was available and the Rockets got him for in my opinion such little value. I don’t care if he’s 37, he needed to get paid. Now Kevin Durant could be 40 years old and he’s still going to be a walking bucket. and the Rockets got them under contract for a couple more years. So, they’ve got a really really I hate the word really as a journalist, but they’ve got a great chance to win a championship and I’m all for it. And you know, the bigger picture here is the fact that the Rockets were a piece away last season. And that piece of course was Kevin Durant, right? And the fact that they got rid of Jaylen who was basically a nuisance and they brought in Durant. I like Dylan Brooks and you know, I think the first couple of games of the season they lost, they were missing that presence and just that grit and grind. But again, like when the game’s on the line, it’s said and done, you need somebody to go out and to make a play. It is going to be Kevin Durant every single time. And I will say this, guys, I think we’re going to find out who the Rockets really are on Sunday. That might sound crazy if you guys don’t really follow the Magic. I mean, they get after you defensively. They’re absolutely relentless and they’re fearless. And they’ve got Paulo, they’ve got Fron. I don’t know who’s exactly going to be playing due to health uh at the time of recording, but keep an keep an eye on that game because the Rockets, look at their scoring, right? So 122, 135, 140. San Antonio game was not great to say the least. 124, you know, 110, 128, 139, 137. You guys get it right. So the Rockets are putting up a ton of points. I mean, if you do the math, I think that’s looking at all their games. Is that what is that quick? 120 something, I don’t know, one or something like that. Seven, I don’t know. I don’t know. But something like that. So the Rockets on the season, they’re that has to be the best in basketball. I’m going to fact check that when I get off of this. But if they can replicate that against the Magic defense, and again, if you guys don’t follow the Magic, you’re not going to know what I’m talking about. But just watch this game and keep an eye on how the Magic defend. If the Rockets can match that physicality and attack them, they don’t need to score 120, but if they can just put up in 107, 108 and find a way to win that game, I mean, I think that’s going to show what this team is really starting to become. And it’s only mid- November, the last game of the season, guys. you have to go all the way to April 12th. So, there is so much time left for the Rockets to only get better. But the fact that in the season they’ve played 11 games and we’re seeing this type of progression, it just goes to show that when Fred comes back, if he comes back, but even just when Dory F Dory Finny Smith comes back, yeah, it’ll be interesting to see if the Rockets do add in someone to the bot market or if they just end up keeping the team the same. But once they get Finny Smith in, they’re going to have another 3 and D wing that can shoot the lights out of the basketball and pretty much switch anything. It’s just going to be extremely dangerous. And I want to talk more about Steven Adams and Click Capella. You know, Capella didn’t really play all that much. He kind of came in late in this game just due to the matchup reasoning, things like that. But, you know, Steven Adams just everything that misses at the rim, he’s cleaning up because again, like a men’s blowing by someone, the big has to step up to contest and Adams just cleans it up. or there was a play where Shengar I remember was backing down a guy he missed off a backboard and Adams cleaned it up and not to mention his screen setting ability. I mean dude I think if I ran into a Stephen Adams screen I would probably be away from YouTube for like a year. Like that’s how strong this guy is. And defensively he pinned a shot off the backboard. Adams is he’s I honestly I don’t know if I can say Stephen Adams is the most underrated player in basketball. I covered him. I used to cover the Grizzlies like very very briefly when he was there. And I Stephen Adams is oh my god, dude. His impact is I don’t know if there’s ever been like a player that nobody really talks about that’s made more of an impact, man. I mean, maybe he’s not underrated if I’m saying he’s underrated, I guess. But like Stephen Adams, I whatever he goes, the teams just get better. Like Rockets fans know like last season he comes in, right? And and look what the team did and he was like arguably the best player on the Rockets in the playoffs. Like well maybe him or Fred. Shankun. Shenan was good too, but like Adams’ impact was definitely probably the best. And we’re seeing that, you know, every single night and what he brings to this team. It’s not all about Kevin Durant and Men Thompson, these big names, you need a Stephen Adams to win a championship. And there’s a reason why whenever he goes back to OKC, he gets a standing ovation, right? I mean, and wherever he goes, I don’t care if it’s Memphis or I think he played in New Orleans, no matter where he goes, this guy’s going to get a lot of cheers. That’s just the type of dude he is. And he’s perfect for the Rockets. I’m glad he’s back. I honestly didn’t think he’d be back. I thought he was going to probably take more money elsewhere, but the Rockets found a way to get it done. And I’m pretty sure Raphael Stone said like the number one most important thing was I’m don’t quote me on this, but I’m like 95% certain Rafael Stone said the most important thing in the offseason was to be able to retain Stephen Adams and he immediately got it done. So, credit to him. Stone’s done a great job. Do I think the Rockets are ready to win a championship right now? You know, I I don’t know, man. With the way Reed’s playing, I think it’s absolutely possible the Rockets can win a championship, but it’s just so rare to win a championship and basically everything goes right. I feel like more often than not, in order to win a championship, it’s not even about who’s the best team. It’s just who stays the healthiest. And like once Fred went down, the Rockets had a significant slope decline. But with the way Reed’s playing and the fact the Rockets again won eight of the last nine, Finny heads coming back, I I legitimately think they have what it takes, man. And it’s going to be fun to cover it every single night for you

Durant only scored 11 against Memphis, but everyone else benefitted from his presence, as Memphis double teamed him all night.
They couldn’t beat the Spurs 🤷🏽♀️ or OKC
Yall give Vanvleet way too much credit.
He was just as inefficient as Green.
Dude shot 38% last year “FROM THE FIELD”
People see someone has a ring and they automatically assume the player is good.
He was axx on that team. Just a guy that likes to shoot and really not that good at it or anything else.
You guys are killing me down talking Jalen green. If it were not for him we would not even be in the playoffs you have to think Steve Kerr's whole plan was to take Jalen out of the series and he accomplished that. What can you do when the whole game plan is against you
No one's mentioned it yet so I will. A bit of an editing error with an audio overlap around 3:00 mate
Easiest is crazy
Durant is the greatest pure scorer in NBA history and Steven Adams might be one of the most underrated players ever.
KD isn’t a top 10 player! He gotta win without Curry to even have a debate for that! Yall gotta stop it! 😂
