This was so obvious where he was going to sign. The Canucks have about 1.5 healthy centres

Honestly never had a problem with him but seems like Berube did. However, right now, I question if Berube is even bringing the best out of the rest of the roster. There should be no way they are this bad systematically.

Not a shock. Clearly was done before he was okay with the Leafs terminating his deal. Good for Kampf. Didn’t think he got an entirely fair shake in Toronto, but it’s also not like he was capable of improving this team.

It’s interesting that there was a market for him, but the Leafs couldn’t trade him, even retaining salary (and cap hit). They couldn’t even get a low pick. But once he was a FA, there was suddenly a market for him.
