NHL Highlights | Sabres vs. Red Wings | November 15, 2025

Well, Mick told you all about Morid Cider. One
of the best defenders going right now in the National Hockey League. And how good has that
pair been along with Simon Edmonson up against the opposition’s best Kane. He’ll wire one around.
Comper over there to pick it up. Sending one back of the net for Penny again. Finey deferred to
Kane in front. Oh, Coner. And a save there by Ellis during the summer on vacation. That shot
just sailed wide from Cider. Edmonson had moved in. Twoon one the other way. Tuck on the left,
Thompson on the right. Thompson right on a goal. Hit the goal post. Wow. Came together. Totally
accidental. He ripped it off a penny. Turned back, put it in front, but no stick with a red sweater
on it. Could get that one. And that’ll be held by Ellis. Some of the smaller buildings. Yeah,
those big tough defenseman Jerry Corup get a lumber on you. Pretty good. A chance there
for Tuck and swallowed up and held by Gibson. And a message from Figer Law and off the
outside of the net, Sandine Calica moves in. 44 on 44. That’s Josh Dunn on him. Comes
back for Sherrod Tiff in front. They score. Pay 495th career goal. for Showtime on this one. What a giveaway this was right up
the gut and a smart play by Gerro. And Patrick Kane gets himself a simple one
after that rolling puck. High wide miss. Off the draw as we’re back with you from Little
Caesars’s Arena. Kept in by Tuck. Knocked down. Loose in front. Played back. Thompson the try.
Oh, they score. It squeaks through underneath. Tuck got the last whack at it and tucked
it in. off after an icing. Puck doesn’t get out there and then it’s like a bunch of
miscues and I thought Cider Oh, okay. So, what happened is Cider had possession and
Tuck banged it his stick and the puck into the net. Watch this right there. Some go
to and some never do. Here is De Brinken whom we just mentioned for Raymond and a save
made by Colton Ellis picked up by Ta Thompson. for Kessle ring. Move by Gibson for Edmonson. Lin had his stick lifted as Thompson pulls it
back and shoots. And a save made by Gibson. The rebound clear behind for Krebs. Back door play.
Dunn couldn’t finish that. Buffalo controlling and off the change and off the bench came Quinn
for Owen Power. Back for Quinn and a save made. 25 to go in the period. Left there for 25
and power took a shot that gets stopped in behind the net are both Edmonson
and Cider toward the goal. It came and held by Gibson by Sandine Pelican
to Comper. Comper couldn’t get a shot away. Back he goes to the line. Sandine
Pelican. A save made by Colton Ellis. Good feed ahead in for Casper and no rebound and a shower there as Danielson went to
the net. Gamewinner for Detroit. Loose air chance. Quick shot from the Brinket.
Stopped by Ellis. Stay in your lane. Yeah. Byron lost it to break it. Scores and it ends up on a a double clutch. Good
save by Ellis. But boy, the the presence of Dbrinket to recover from that. Raymond got a
beautiful assist on this goal. Wow. But here’s the the turnover right there again by Buffalo.
They’ve had two of them and it’s cost them two goals for Lucas Raymond in the last 11 games
against the Swords. The Sabres picked up by Kak that gets picked off. There is some good
pressure there from Edmonson. So Larkin headed in deep to Raymond in front. Scores. Dylan
Larkin. What a feed from Lucas Raymond. I guess. Wow. This whole play started way back. The
given goal by Larkin and Raymond plays on side. Larkin trying to figure out what’s
going on. Two Buffalo players are standing still. And when Larkin goes
to the net, he didn’t get a lot on it, but boy oh boy, what a great feed by number 23.
And under the bar makes it three to one. Well, you called for Lucas Raymond to have it. Neither
team had scored on their first try. A bellis, it’s loose to bring it. Couldn’t get it.
Larkin was there able to move it back for Kane. Raymond unable to one- time it. Got it to the
brinket across for Kane. He forgot there. Scores. It’s four to one. Power play goal. I think this
baby brinket again. Lucas Raymond again. Another assist. Samuel. My oh my. You see it. Kane was on
the back door waiting for a dunk. And Samuelson, he tried to intercept the pass and he did but at
the same time he banks it right into his own net. Sandine Pelica for Finny. Good play Danielson
down low. What a save. Great stop. Nicely set up for Danielson. Fit for his first
National Hockey League goal. There’s little doubt that the speedster Finny
was going to get there from the hash mark down low. Look at this chance.
He was fresh off the bench, too. Yeah. Danielson’s best uh since his short
time call up. Really good execution there. But unfortunately
for Detroit, so did Ellis. Bowen Byum Barasmus Delene scores.
tipped in front and over the glove and it’s a 42 game. Started by a faceoff one. They got help for sure. Oh, went off of Dome.
Went off of Don’s body and completely changed directions. Went from the left side or the right
side over to the left side. stick off his stick. Well, that’s what happens when you go to the
front of the net. Sometimes you get rewarded on two helpers tonight. Eight of his 10 points have
come on the power play, one of those this evening on the debrinket goal. Red Wings one for three
with a man advantage against the best penalty killing unit in the NHL. Buffalo second last in
the league, but their penalty killing terrific. And a nice move. Speaking of terrific, what a
play by Thompson driving the net. The big man, 6’6, buried that one. And it’s a oneot game now.
Boy, oh boy. Decider is is caught up. And it’s a forward to bring it back. And he takes full
advantage of that. That big reach cutting in and makes no mistake. 47 goals two years
ago and you can see why with plays like this. Mine knocked down out of the air by
Johansson says Kane away on to conference right on the goal and a save made by
Ellis cut for the net. They’re going to call tripping I think on the play
and Ellis huge save in a 4-3 game. Lucas Raymond on for Larkin. Back to Cider this side now to Brinket for Cider.
Top of the right circle for Kane down low in front for Larkin. Just over his
stick. Kept in by S. And he lost it. It’s a break from center for Mloud.
One-on-one with Gibson. He scores. Wow. A short-handed goal ties up the
game 44. At the Buffalo blue line, he basically picked the pocket of Mo
Cider, it looked like on that replay and made a good shot on the on the blocker
side over the pad under the blocker. I doubt they were going to get two of those calls.
Here’s Thompson. That got blocked. Thompson fighting it off. Thompson plays
it back. What a play. They score. Broken play. It was blocked. And then
Thompson, if he knew he was there, I don’t know. You’d have to see a different
angle on that. But the he knew for sure when he knocked the brinket down that the three
Red Wings were right in front of him and they’re looking for a penalty. See on on Thompson.
Detroit was for interfering with de Brinket. Well, it was a battle and that’s I don’t know man
that that’s a battle. That’s twice tonight unfortunately for De Brinket. The first
one when Thompson came back and he had to

  1. I wonder who Yzerman can get rid of before the trade deadline? We really have a lot of dead weight on this team. Also, what's with all the short-handed goals allowed? I'm really hoping ASP ends up playing the point on the power play one day. That giveaway by Seider was terrible. He really has a weak stick. The Tuch goal was the same thing. He knocked it off Seider's stick into the net. I also haven't been overwhelmed by Gibson in the net. He doesn't look like the player Yzerman was hoping to get. Might have been better with Mrazek.

  2. The NHL YouTube channel should be showing highlights of this game on the Sabres broadcast channel. I liked it better when they used to show highlights of games on the broadcast network of the team who won the game.

  3. Wow, the Sabres did 4 impressive things for once in this game.
    1. Beat another top team.
    2. Came back and won after being down 3 goals.
    3. Finally won an overtime game (not counting a shootout).
    4. Finally got a road win.

  4. Good win for Buffalo. Some notes:
    * Dahlin didn't show a lot of rust. I think knowing his lady is on the road to recovery and getting some good home cookin' did him well.
    * Bowen Byram is actively tanking his trade value with every game that goes by.
    * Ellis played well – at least two goals not his fault. Glad he got the road win.
    * Why is Krebs on the ice for an offensive zone faceoff with 15 seconds left in the game? Awful waste.
    * Tage played the way the Sabres need him to play. Tuch got the kind of greasy goals he needs to get more often. This team goes as these guys go.
    * Sammy making me eat crow after slagging him all last season. Dude has been very sound in the D-zone and looks like he remembered he's allowed to score goals in the NHL.
    * Timmons and Doan making the front office look smart for the first time in Kevyn from Accounting's tenure, Kesselring value TBD; still hope this is his last season as GM.
