Mac Jones explains why he signed a 2-year deal with the #49ers. #49ersfaithful #nfl

other people, quarterbacks in your situation would like sign a one-year contract in March and get a career reset and then, you know, see what happens. You know, create agency. You signed a two-year deal. Why was that? Um, it’s kind of a random question, but um, I think like it was what was presented to me and I wanted to be get back to having fun playing football and I think I’ve done that and today wasn’t as fun obviously, but I still believe that we have the right guys in this locker room and I wanted to get around a good organization that believes in the players and that’s coaches that believe in the players and players that believe in the players. So, I feel like we have the right guys. Um, I’ve just been really fortunate to be here this year and I want to just try and find ways to win games for us and that’s all I’m I’m here to do and the future will take care of itself.

  1. He might want to play out the contract. Love Brock but injured every year. This could be Mac’s job by end of next year just because he can stay healthy.

  2. He’s at least the top 18 NFL quarterback. Look at Jordan love today only put up seven points. Mac would’ve put up more points then that.

  3. We shouldve fucking drafted Mac jones god dammit 😭. Even though i wanted trey lance to be our guy and we got him i really do feel dumb for wanting trey over mac and he was my second pick if we didn't get trey. Yes we have mac now but we probably could've won a bowl with mac if he was here from the start. Imma be totally honest but im really getting steve young vibes from him. But don't get it confused i still love brock at the helm but we might as well keep the hot hand going and let brock heal up

  4. Man… I was yelling at my TV during the draft "Don't say McCorkel!" and hoping badly for Trey. Turns out I am as bad at evaluating NFL QB talent as this front office.

  5. With all due respect for Brock, Mac was a better QB in College and is a better QB today and will be tomorrow straight up. Jones shouldn’t be making less money than Purdy. Whoever is President of Football Operatons, assuming their the final decision maker, should be fired. Ownership is completely oblivious, track history proves it.

  6. Great response sir. And yes it was a very random question. I'm just happy that you as well as Brock purdy changed my views on y'all play. But sir you have taken one hell of a beating almost every game and you just keep getting up and and playing high level ball. I hope you don't get hurt and have a chance to fight for a job or earn one

  7. I’ve been very impressed with Mac. This guy never gives up and takes a serious beating, while delivering the mail to the intended target. I hope he finishes the season so Purdy’s toe can heal properly.

  8. My Respect for Mac Jones has gone from low to very HIGH! I really like this guy…And he deserves a TON of credit how well he handled and played in Brock’s absence
