CONCERN: New Orleans #Saints Struggles Aren’t Because Of Their Rebuild, Team Can’t Waste Buy-In
Welcome to me from the bus stop and I’ll tell you everything you need to know about the New Orleans Saints following their loss to the Chicago Bears. The fact of the matter for the Saints is that they are a rebuilding team. Yes, but they’re also not a very good football team. And the concern around that isn’t that the team is performing poorly because it’s rebuilding. The concern around that is that like the team’s not performing poorly because it’s rebuilding. the teams performing poorly because it all they seem to come out so unprepared in their matchups each time that they come out in particular on the road. I mean, you think back to the Seattle Seahawks game. I think that this game up against Chicago was another example of that. And so for New Orleans, they’ve got to get something figured out so that when this team is ready to compete, which probably isn’t here in 2025, but that when it is ready to compete, it has the buyin that it needs from its talented players. This is not a roster that’s devoid of talent. And that’s one of the reasons why the poor performances early on in game right now. The Saints have a minus 59 first quarter point differential. That’s most in the NFL. And it’s most in the NFL by double digits. It’s actually most in the NFL right now. Maybe the Commanders have closed in, but at one point it was a good 20 points difference from them and the Washington Commanders from earlier in the season. And so for New Orleans, that to me becomes the sense of urgency. Finding a way to make sure that everybody on this team that is buying in, that is fully committed, stays that way while this team tries to show what Kellen Moore and the Saints new coaching staff’s vision and direction is. So that’s going to become a major coaching point as this team moves forward. finding success early and showing that the vision isn’t just a vision, but that it is something attainable. Up until that happens, the Saints are probably going to find themselves in some pretty uncomfortable situations with a lot of questions around their future getting louder and louder and

Nothing iw good ..nothing
First , get rid of the kicker . I think first thing they need to do.
They are playing Baker Mayfield in the Superdome next weekend. That should be an absolute doozie if they aren't prepared.
KELLEN MOORE IS NOT THE GUY
We are horrible 😢
DA knows this Team
the saints are bottom dwellers right now. Years of having Drew Brees covered up sever team mismanagement. Now Drew is gone, and everything is hitting all at once. The Oline, 4 #1 draft picks, is porous, and cannot open a running to save the world., no real TE to speak of, secondary looks quit shoddy, kicking game not much better. And dont get me started about the upper management.
I thought Carr was the problem. FAFO😅
Man I forgot you was in Chicago. You have to check out my brothers restaurant if you're still there
Well 1 of em lol
Thanks for ur honesty
Either AK has lost his mojo or the Oline isn’t run blocking very well or both. In a rebuilding year you should see some of whet we see now, but there should be improvement by now. It seems to me that the Saints plummet to where they are now started with The Beast Quake playoff game in ‘11.
I like u are not suffer coating
Why would we think a team so young would do great , used to be we gave time to fix things now in the microwave age it's always hurry hurry
Start shough we lose anyway
Get you some chicago style deep dish pizza while you are up there ross. One big slice will fill you up!!
I've been saying it since Week 2; it's poor preparation and Kellen Moore looks like he's in over his head as a HC. There's no fire there; he's just out there with a blank stare, mouth agaped. There needs to be a stabilizing VETERAN voice on the coaching staff who knows how to prepare, who knows how to get players to buy in, and who knows how to get the most out of the guys on every play. We don't have that right now and it's evident on the field and on the sideline.
One huge problem with the saints is matching up to their opponents. The Saints want to run the ball, but they're top 3 WRs are too small and aren't strong enough to sustain blocks. Same goes for their TEs, so you can't run constantly outside or off tackle. While your two OTs are going to be good (in a few seasons) your RG (Caesar Ruiz) is awful at blocking. Your LG (Trevor Penning) is a great run blocker, but still is finding his way during passing downs. Defensively the parts don't fit. Your edge rushers are true DEs and not true 3-4 OLBs. The difference is speed or lack there of off the edge and don't have the agility and awareness to drop in zone or man coverage. Next is the interior d-linemen. None of them seem to have enough strength or athletic ability to win one on one battles and stand up to double team blocks. Now let's get to the DBs. The young guys are battling, but we need more aggression and at least one if not two big cover CBs to be able to match up against the big WRs. Speaking of WRs, we need to draft a big alpha WR. Vele is big, but not an alpha. None of our receivers have any alpha qualities or mindset.
What direction would that be? Draft a qb for the 4th year in a row. Maybe, trade away your best receiver as if he's the problem and not your inadequate qb
This team look like they tanking… no way a team can be this terrible
Bad product
Saints need to keep losing top3 pick
Alvin and Demario are too old. And Loomis has done a horrible job drafting for years. Gayle refuses to hold that a hole accountable.
3 years… 3 different H.C. …. 3 different defense coaches…. same trash players…. same trash results.
My man is looking all around in Chicago keeping his head on a swivel, be careful in shy town my man
Should have drafted Sanders
Just keep losing, get the #1 pick and trade it for a haul.
If the team is ill prepared that's on the head coach.
And we thought the Pelicans 24-25 season was bad? Like the song says You Ain’t seen nothing Yet !!!
This coaching staff seriously is pissing me off!
The defense finally just gave up in the 4th quarter. Who wouldn't when offense just gave it away time and time again. Kellen your record is looking bad too. Make some changes your team will quit on you eventually.
We need to fire mickey mouse loomis and cut every high priced vet whos not performing at an elite level and start rebuilding the oline do what dan campbell did in detroit
