Jags Hang on Late to Pull Out Overtime Win Over Raiders | Jacksonville Jaguars

[Music] Welcome to Rapid Recap presented by Dreamfinders Homes. We got bonus football here in Las Vegas down to the final second. A huge play by Devon Hamilton and such a dramatic finish, Bucky. Yeah, dramatic finish. One of the greatest wins that I can remember in a long time. Not because of who we beat, but how we beat them and who we had to beat them with. Number of backups being thrust into prominent roles, having to stick to a bunch of special teams playing at wide receiver. Uh you got young guys playing in the secondary, but yet this team continued to persevere. And as they said coming off the field, it was gritty, not pretty, but you got to take the dub. We talk a lot about resiliency, but after that first half, felt like nothing was going right. They hit that kick, which is an NFL record for Cam Little, 68 yards. That seemed to be a little bit of a motivator coming out. What were you most impressed by in the second half? I was really impressed by the kick because coming in the locker room, being in the locker room, they talked about that was the energy and the momentum that we needed. They knew they hadn’t played well. They felt like they were dominating the team but didn’t have the points to show for it. That kick gave them a little boost and it also gave Cam Little the confidence that he needed because he had been struggling coming into this game. And so it was great. It was great all around. And in talking to some of the guys after the game, they just talked about how pulling together and we knew stuff was not going to be right, but they pulled together. They leaned on each other and Cam was a big example of the team having each other’s backs. And quickly, how important was this win with four or five away from Jacksonville to get the first win after the buy? Uh, it was really important because look, when you’re looking at this, the magic number is 10 to get into the postseason. So, it doesn’t matter how you get them, who you get them against, you just got to stack them. And so, to be able to get this one, it’s positive. Particularly on a day when everyone in the division lost, it brings them one step closer to maybe being a division champ. Halfway there. Bucky Brooks, Kanani Stevens.
