NBA LIVE! Los Angeles Lakers vs Boston Celtics | November 16, 2025 | Lakers vs Celtics LIVE 2K26

We do. Two highowered offenses and they’re not just talented, they’re relentless. Looking at the starting five for Boston, they’ve got Peyton Pritchard. Jaylen Brown is out there with Derek White. Then there’s Anthony Simons. And it’s Kada in at the center position. Now here’s Donic. Puts the move on and he lays it in. You know, as I watch Dantic, I think it’s feudal to try to distract this guy. His focus and concentration and control of himself is excellent. Here’s Pritchard. Pass to Simons. Here’s Kada. Now here’s Brown and Aiden pulls it down. Well, you know, this is what happens. You can’t afford to lose concentration even for a nano set. The three James on the wing drops in the three. Both the catch for Braun not lacking confidence or hesitating. And so it’s Brown with it. He brings it up for the Boston Celtics. It’s a five-point game. Drives to the hoop after missing his first attempt. Now one for two. You got to appreciate the consistency. Night in and night out. He brings it. Here’s Donic and it’s rejected and he’ll draw a foul. He’ll head to the line for two. You know, I think that’s exactly the right attitude for White to have. Go at the defender head on and don’t back away from the contact. These are his first free throws of the game. Yeah. You know, that was one spot where they didn’t have to worry about him at all. I mean at the free throw line he was automatic and he makes a first. You know Clark with the Lakers at times it is hard to maintain a sense of continuity. Well, it sure is. Be I mean, there’s always pressure to improve or be at your best, but even more so when you’re playing in the glitz and glamour of LA and all that history. And because of that, sometimes it can lead to high team turnover when you’re playing for the Lakers. He hits them both. Already a very confident player. Knocking down those free throws only fuels that. James passes to Dantic. [Applause] Almost two minutes into the first here. There’s the triple and Los Angeles. Another three. Watch out now when Dantis is dialed in from deep because he’s unguardable. Brown scanning the floor as to Simons. [Music] Here’s Kada. is covered by Eaton. Clock at six. White the pass to Simons over Reeves. And there’s Simons. That one’s good on the assist by White. You know, whenever White sees an open teammate, he’s getting the ball to him right away. No hesitation. Here’s Aimura. Blocked out of bounds as Los Angeles keeps possession. Just a superb read on defense to come up with a block. Boy, I like the fact that’s intimidation right away. Got to show those shooters you’re going to be in their face all night long. Off the inbound [Music] for Boston. They’ve gone just two for four from the floor. Simons passes to Brown. Here’s Pritchard guarded by Donic. Here’s Simons. Can’t tie it up as that one’s no good. Ooh, old school right there. No easy buckets. Aimuro. Perfect pass to set up the layup. Terrific accuracy on that pass. That’s how you lead your teammate. A moment to hear from Alli Leforce. I did briefly speak with JJ Red. We discussed Jaylen Brown and what makes him such a hard player to defend and coach said to me, “Jaylen is a freak athlete and has become really good shooter over time, too. You can’t give him clean looks and you have to guard him closely. Let’s see if the defense is up to the task.” Good job there, Ally. Thanks, boy. White doing a nice job that time working around the defense and finding the open man. Aimura finds Donic. Let’s go with a three. He drops it from range. John has got eight. Starting to find his rhythm. He’s cooking and he knows it. And you know what? They’re going to keep using he’ll be the centerpiece of their offense today. You can bank on that. And Joe Mazoula has called timeout. Coach wants to speak to his guys. Maybe alter some of the game plan. [Music] Heat up here. [Music] Heat up here. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Here’s Pritchard guarded by Donic. Pritchard. The pass to Brown. Over. Brown can’t hit. Los Angeles leading by five. And you look at Jaylen Brown, Grant. Not many wings have the strength he has. Yeah, Jaylen Brown could dunk over a brick wall. And he could dunk through a brick wall, too. It’s just so hard to move him off his path when he’s on his way to the rim. Two open that time. Made him look easy. Aimura’s got five down. A smart decision maker with a personal skill set. Hatchim always takes the shots that he’s comfortable with. He’s outside. [Music] It’s rebounded by Los Angeles. James passes to Donic. Hey, Donic with the jam. Tell you what, guys, that’s not an easy finish, but somehow Donic makes it look rather effortless. And a moment to look at the scoring approach in terms of where the points are coming from here for Los Angeles. You know, right from the start, it seemed they got hot from three-point range, pulling apart the defense and racking up the points, too. They’ve also been quick to set up their teammates, wasting no time making the extra pass for the open look. [Music] Well, last season we saw Luca Donic score 73 points, tied for fourth most in NBA history. BA, he is so special. And the thing about the 73 he got, it was the most efficient 73 game in league history. How off heavy the league is going. I wouldn’t put it past him to go north of Kobe Bryant’s mark of 81 at some point. He’s got that kind of ability. Celtics trail by 11. Offensively, it’s been a struggle for him. Yeah, they need to string together some shots to have any kind of chance. Boy, that’s got to be terribly frustrating here. I mean, with the defense not hustling and he still misses. Boy, he wishes he had that one back. Now, here’s Dix. He’s got 11. The shot’s good. He’s got 13. Building a big advantage early with a terrific allaround performance. And you know, they’ve had the advantage of both ends. They’ve got all the momentum early on. And Joe Mazula has called timeout. We might see him looking to make some tweaks to the strategy here. [Music] [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] So that checked in for Los Angeles. [Music] [Music] Simons outside pass to Kada White with it. There’s a screen to snap to Cold Streak. It’s rebounded by Los Angeles. Hayden’s got his fifth rebound in this one. On the wing, Reeves. He’s covered by Simons. Shots good by James. James has got five now. Boy, I like their energy coming in. Terrific execution so far. And you know, it’s an allout effort. They’ve come in with very aggressive offense so far. Now, here’s White and that one drops attacking in the painted area. Clearly, that was their game plan coming in. And so, it’s Donic with it. He brings it up for the Lakers. 13-point lead. is high. He sends it right off the glass now. Brown pass to Simons. And here’s White. Back to Simons and he’s going to the line for two. The officials saw contact while he was going up. You know, I have to admire a guy like Anthony Simons. Early in his career, he was seen as undersized, but with his skill and pure athleticism, he balances the scales against bigger players, and he’s become a ferocious score. Vanderbilt’s checked in for LeBron. He hits the second from the line. Here are the Lakers now. They’re on a 20-7 run to the paint. Here’s Reeves. Austin pulls it in. Simons with it now. Donic defending. Brown against Vanderbilt. Outside. White from the arc. Knocks down the triple. White’s got five. Boy, White is a capable three-point shooter now and he does not need a lot of space or time to get off his shot. Outside Vanderbilt. Pass to Aiden. Outside Reeves. Shot clock at six. Back to Aiden. Oh, he tries a three. Can’t get it to go now. One of two. Celtics trail by 11. Simons passes to Brown [Music] over Vanderbilt. Oh, nice shot by Brown. Brown has a nice shot repertoire. Clearly the mid-range doesn’t give him much trouble. [Music] Simons against Reeds from deep. Here’s Dantics. Rebound Boston. Kate has got four rebounds now for Boston. And they’ve got six of 14 in so far. Brown against Vanderbilt. Back to White from outside the ark on target from range. Give him eight points now. Well, it’s so good to see White growing in confidence with his offensive game and not hesitating at all to shoot the perimeter shot. And the call will be against Derek White. That’s his first foul. And the Lakers making a change here. Smarts checked in. The Celtics also with a sub. Tatum’s checked in. On defense of Celtics, they trail by six. Aiden finds Donic gets the three to fall. Luca Magic has been on display tonight. He is in full control. Piling up the points. White looking it over. Pass to Tatum. The three is up and Aiden pulls it down. Aiden’s got rebound number seven tonight. Now here’s Smart. Here’s Pritchard. Still no points. White the pass to Pritchard. Now Tatum [Music] just five on the clock. It’s stolen by Smart. [Music] Here’s Connect to the middle. Brown. [Music] Simons against Donic. Tatum. A screen on Smart. Pritchard gets it to go. Defensively, you have to stay connected to him on the perimeter. [Music] Donic with it. He’s got 16. Three-pointer. Pulls it in. He didn’t make them pay for that weak defense, but they just can’t rely on him to miss those kind of shots. Here’s White. The kick to Tatum over Aiden. Tatum passes to White. Just five to shoot with the 10-footer and Aiden pulls it down. Great contest down low. Allowing no easy hoops is a winning approach. One thing you can say about Boston, Brad, they know how to put a team together. Yeah, the Celtics consistency of winning is just impressive. both now and throughout their entire history. They are really the gold standard in this league and it’s mostly because of great draft picks and great trades. There’s Tatum with the three from three-point range. Really smooth release from Tatum on that three. Makes that shot look effortless. Here’s Donic and he trains the quick shot. Don just has got 20 points and he’s coming off a huge performance and his confidence couldn’t be any higher and his coach knows that too. Showing no signs of slowing or cooling down. They’re going to ride him as far as he can take it. Now here’s White. Give him eight points now. Oh, he powers right through the defender for the dunk. Draws the foul too and he’ll go to the line. It’s going to be on DeAndre Aton and he’ll be shooting his first free throw. And the Lakers with some changes. Hayes comes in for DeAndre Eaton. And Austin Reeves is subbed in for Donic. And that one misses. The Lakers lead by five. It’s Smart on the wing. Pass to Reeves. Here’s Connect. Back to Vanderbilt. [Music] And here’s Smart. The three is up. Trains the triple. And the Lakers lead by eight. Getting the ball and taking his shot. Smart makes it look almost effortless. And here’s Tatum. [Music] And so it’s Los Angeles up by a healthy eight points at the end of the period. And it’s all due to their ability to own the paint. They’ve been dominant down low. We’ll be right back. [Music] [Music] [Applause] And thanks again for tuning in. If you’re just joining us, we played through one quarter of action so far. What do you guys think about Los Angeles here in this one? You could really see the strategy coming in. Get the ball into the painted area. Yeah, and it’s worked. They’ve got a clear edge and points in the paint. Now we’ll see if they go with a more balanced attack or just keep on pounding it inside. The Lakers lead by eight. Jared Vanderbilt out there with connect. Then there’s Jackson Hayes. Then there’s Marcus Smart. And it’s Reeves in at the two guard. That’s the Laker five. Smart right side. Oh my goodness. Smart with a tough finish. I like watching Smart get it done inside. He is such a fearless competitor. Tatum passes to Brown over Reeves and Brown. The bucket on the assist from Tatum. Brown’s got six points. Defenses nowadays try to protect the rim and the three-point line, so the mid-range is usually available. And he loss it up top and finished off by Hayes. They’re just picking apart the defense. Smart moves things around to create a shot. Quarter number two and about a minute in Brown against Reeves. [Music] Away. Pass break. Here come the Lakers for the finish. Oh, now that’s how you finish a break. Throw it down with force. A great decision from Smart. He’s all about doing what’s best for the team. Defended by Smart. Pass to Tatum. Over Vanderbilt. Tatum. Can’t hit. No one around him. He makes the shot harder than it has to be. [Music] Here’s Connect. yet to see a basket. Reeves with the ballow. Lets the three fly counted from distance and the Lakers lead by 15 and just not letting up at all. I mean, you have to love this approach. You want to get the ball to the guys who make plays. If it’s working, keep working it. That’s what I say. Keep the pressure on. Brown gets the bucket. Working to get the high percentage bucket. Nicely done that time by Brown. Quarter two and just under two and a half minutes gone by. Oh, nice smart slipping inside. You know, Clark, over the past few seasons, we’ve seen a historic about 20 point per game scores in the league. And that’s a function, BA, of the overall skill level being at its all-time high in league history in my mind. but also the pace of play, the way the game is played, three-point shooting, there’s scoring, there’s more scoring, so more guys are scoring. And I think on top of that, it’s a little easier to score because of how the game is played and officiated. It’s tilted a little more in favor of the offense for the entertainment value of points. Their offense is looking like a welloiled machine getting any look they want. Boy, this is borderline ridiculous. I mean, every single attempt finding the bottom of the bucket. Now here’s Tatum. Kick out to Brown. Nice move. Brown gets the inside finish. Brown taking on all challengers. This kind of fearless approach is what his teammates and coaches love seeing. And here in the second quarter of action as we approach four minutes played. Here’s Reeves. Not going to go that time. Brown with some nice D. Pass to Hower. Takes the three. It’s rebounded by Los Angeles. Now here’s Smart. He’s got nine. [Music] Outside Reeves fires the three out of bounds. It’ll be Celtics ball. Let’s go now to the sideline and catch up with Alli Leforce. Brian, it’s great hearing Celtics coach Joe Mazula talk shop. He said, “Everybody tries to break basketball up into offense and defense, but it’s one game. Your spacing, decision-m, and shot selection set up your defense.” That transition happens so fast, so the game is constantly changing. It’s all connected, Brian. No question. Thanks, Ally. Good stuff there. I don’t think he could have been any more impressive than he was tonight. Brown is setting this place on fire. And so JJ Reick calls for the timeout. He wants a few moments to regroup with his players. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] James has checked in for Los Angeles. [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Smart looking around the shames on the wing over Bush. That one’s good from James on the assist from Smart. Smart’s got three assists now in this one. Here’s Pritchard. Defended by Smart. Reeves against Brown. Count the basket. Brown’s got 14. Pretty impressed by Brown’s shot selection. I mean, he’s definitely capable of knocking these types of shots down consistently. But when you look at the Lakers, a lot has happened since their championship run in 2020, Clark. Yeah, it really has, DA. And I think some of it you have to attribute it to a significant amount of roster turnover. And then you pair that with coaching changes. One of the keys to being successful in anything and at any level and in the NBA, stability, continuity. You’ve got to have that. Executive management team, coaches, and players, they’ve not had that. So the consistency has been hard to find. Now here’s Hayes back to Reeds. Lets it fly and Pritchard pulls it down. Celtics trail by 13. [Applause] Pass to Brown and the foul is called. He missed it. So he’s got a couple of free throws coming his way. Austin Reeves picks one up. And Brown is a guy who is hunting contact. Defenders have to be more cautious around him when they’re defending. Boston shooting there. Sixth and seventh free throw attempts tonight. You know, success at the line just became contagious for him. A few guys got on the roll and it carried over to the rest of the team. Free throw. Good. Brown. What makes Brown special is his blend of smarts and effort level. Not just an intelligent player, he also gives you a phenomenal amount of energy out there. Luca Donic has checked in for Smart. White, he’s checked in for Boston. Simons comes in for Buchet. And both free throws good for Brown. Here’s Donic. 20 points for him. And there’s the lob. Oh, it’s blocked. It deflects off the backboard [Music] inside. Here’s Brown. And the jam by Brown. The athletic Brown with a big time slam. You’ve got to defend him better than this. Donic passes to James [Music] with the floater. It’s deflected. fight against Achimurro. It’s Brown on the wing and they recover it and the three off target. James passes to Donic. [Music] Back to James. Reeves against Simons. Aimura sets a screen on the wing. Aimura and he can’t stop the drown. Another miss. Celtics trail by nine to the inside. Here’s Pritchard starting by Donic. That’s Teada down low. Here’s Brown off target at the rim. Los Angeles has gone one of four from three-point land here in the second. [Applause] [Music] Donic feeling it out a bit. Now James, he’s guarded by White. Page and he gets the bucket. James has got four points now in the quarter. From mid-range, LeBron really dialed in. You can’t think you’re safe giving him those shots. White doesn’t go that time. Hi with the defensive effort. Pass to Donic from downtown. The Luca three. One of the things I love most about Luca Donic, his court recognition and awareness. This guy is so sharp and alert, understands how to play. Brown passes to K. Oh, and there’s the whistle on the shot. So, two free throws for him coming. the defense there doing whatever they can to protect the rim. Definitely saved the layup with that foul and he’ll make him earn him from the line and that’s what you want to see. Yeah, this is his second and third free throws tonight. [Music] Knocks down the first one. Marcus Smarts checked in for Reeves. Bush’s checked in for Boston. [Music] [Music] And so he makes both from the line. And so it’s Donic with it. He brings it up for the Lakers. Aimura outside. Now, Donic 23 points in the game off target from three-point range. Yeah, and the defense has really got to tighten up on him. I mean, he’s just too dangerous from the three-point line. And it’s Simons missing. Los Angeles leading by 12 to the inside. Pass to Hayes. Hey, from beyond the arc, pulls it in. K has got rebound number eight here already in the game. Oh, through contact. White gets the finish. Outstanding concentration that time by White on the tape. Play through the contact and score. White against Hachimura. Now Donic. Now here’s Hayes. Pass to Smart. Four on the clock. So it’ll be two free throws. He was fouled in the act of shooting. That’s on Anthony Simons. Just the fact that Smart is so shifty with the ball makes the defender play him even tighter. Los Angeles shooting their second and third free throws tonight. [Music] [Music] The first one falls and Los Angeles making a change here. Aiden’s checked in. [Applause] [Music] [Music] That one misses. So he goes one for two. Celtics trail by 11. Over to the wing. Here’s Pritchard. Simons with it. Good on the shot. And that shaves the lead to single digits. Simons got seven points. And for the Lakers, they’re shooting it at 52%. James passes to Aiden. Now Donic and he lobbs it up. Oh, got a piece of it. Aton with the stuff. You’re sticking it to them inside. Good luck throwing Aiden off when he attacks like this. Here’s Pritchard defended by Smart. Here’s Pritchard. White with a screen on Smart Pritchard. The pass to Bush Aimura with a rebound. Aimura’s got his six rebound on the night. Clark Aimura has always been a monster with a stroke. He knows how to use his frame. He sure does. And he has an ample frame VA. Working out with LeBron during the summer and training certainly hasn’t hurt him in that regard. He knows how to use his body, but he’s also become a pretty reliable three-point shooter and all-around score. Here’s Kada. He has six. Pass to White. The three. Three-pointer goes up. Three-pointer goes down for White. And that’s how you up the antie. Come right back at him. A little back and forth from long range. I love it. That’s a terrific answer there. [Music] Simons against Donic. Back to James. That’s Watimura. Puts up a three. Smith Falls. Nice speed that time from James. Give him eight points now. Really doesn’t matter what position Brown is playing. The point, the four or the five. James changes games with his passing ability. Now here’s Simons. He has seven. Pass to Pritchard. 10 seconds separating the shot clock and the game clock and James gets it to go. James has got nine points now in the quarter. He’s so good at creating his own shot. He’s just got an endless supply of moves. LeBron James and it’s Simons missing. Here’s Donic and the baseline jumper. No good. And so it’s Los Angeles with an impressive 16-point lead heading into the break. How about the way they’ve attacked the paint? This throwback approach is paying off. We’re coming right back. Don’t go anywhere. [Music] [Music] And as we dive into the second half, we’ll find out if the next two quarters are any different from the first two. So far, it’s been a runaway. Boy, really an incredible game here from Luca Donic. Yeah, they’ve done an amazing job of creating room to operate for him and then of course executing. And you know what? It helped that they had a few guys with very hot hands on the perimeter too. [Music] The Lakers lead by 16. On the court right now for the Celtics, Anthony Simons out there with Peyton Pritchard. Then it’s Derek White. Then it’s Jaylen Brown. And it’s Kada in at the five roaming the paint. Now here is James. Offensive rebound. Simons with it. Aimura covering. Simons passes to Pritchard. Outside Brown. [Music] Six to shoot. White for three. It’s held in by Luca Donic. Well, Los Angeles shooting it with confidence. 54% so far. And the shot goes in. James has got 16 points. Well, that’s exactly where LeBron wants to go. Almost unstoppable once he gets the ball in the painted area. And about a minute of action so far in the third quarter. Brown passes to White. No good on the three. And James has got the ball here for the Los Angeles Lakers. They haven’t given up any points here in the second half. Now here’s Donic. 18 points separating these teams. That’s the biggest lead of the game. The three-pointer off the mark. And he probably thought he was going to bury that one. Brown passes to Kada. Over a minute and a half now into this third quarter action. Brown against Donic. Back to Pritchard. The three ball gets rebounded by Los Angeles. He’s got nine rebounds in the game. Boy, he’s getting it done. James outside pass to Donic. Rebounded by the Celtics got rebound number nine now. What an effort here tonight. And the jam by Brown. Boy, there’s a lot to like about the attitude of Brown. If he sees a fast break opportunity, he’s taking full advantage of it in a heartbeat. Now, here’s Reeds. Five points in the game and down it goes. Two points. Don just got 25 points in the game and he couldn’t get an easier shot. The defense right now just looks defeated. Well, that’s exactly the kind of defense that’s gotten him into the hole. Back to Simons and the layup is good off the glass. He’s got nine. Great timing and coordination. Lays it in coming off that pick. Donic passes to Aimura. Back to Donic. James right side to the paint. Here’s Eightton. That falls. Nice speed that time from James. James has got his fifth assist in this one. Brown passes to Simons. Fires the three. Fires in the triple. Simons has got 12. Slow reaction from the D and it cost him three. And from the sideline, let’s catch up with Ally. Jaylen Brown is playing with so much confidence. He said, quote, “I feel like I’m a different player. My body has changed. Athletically, I’m entering my prime. I’m more aware on defense and offense. I feel like on both sides of the ball, I’m playing the best basketball of my life.” Are you kidding me? Wow, man. Brown with that amazing athleticism putting on a show out there with jams like that. [Applause] Los Angeles leading by 13. Johnson passes to James. Shoots over White. James can’t get it to go. You got to move past that one. I mean, they’d want him to take that again. Well, you know, I hear you. That’s a good look, but when you’re that wide open, I think you got to knock it down. Strong performance from him, but he may need to do even more if they’re going to win this game. Dodic passes to James. [Music] Floss one. Rebound. Boston. This has not been his best quarter. You know, guys, it seems to me as though he’s over anxious. He seems to be pressing, trying too hard, moving too fast. Just needs to calm himself down and wait for good shots. Back to White for three. Gets it. He’s 6 for 10 and looking confident out there. They’re making smart adjustments, setting guys up for success. It’s certainly been an impressive run. They finally found the right formula to break down the defense. Pass to James. Good on the baseline. K. He’s got 18. Got to fight harder to get over those screens. Well, I’m going to credit the screen. I mean, that’s a good strong pick he lays there. Here’s Brown out to Simon miss there on the triple. And I’m surprised that I mean I’m sure he is too. Here’s Donic. Oh, and he got fouled on his way up. He’ll head to the line to shoot two. In 2024, Luca Donuch recorded six consecutive 30point triple double games. That’s right, BA. the first time anyone has done it in NBA history. So, if you didn’t already believe in Luca Magic, well, there’s some proof that the magic is real. [Music] [Applause] [Music] And the first one at the line is good. You know, one of the things I like about watching Donic is the pace he plays at. You’re not going to speed him up. He plays at his pace. the pace he dictates. Bush’s checked in for Simons. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Dodic hits them both. Celtics trail by 12. And Joe Mazula has called timeout. He’s going to talk it over with his guys. You know, one guy who’s been getting it done is Luca Donic. He’s getting to the rack all game, and if they can’t do a better job of keeping him out of the paint, they’re in for a long night. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Machimura against Bush. Now here’s Brown. He’s guarded closely. Kada and he gets that one. Kada’s got eight. He knew exactly where his man was going to be. Outstanding lead pass and Donic has got the ball here for the Lakers. Oh, there’s the alley. It’s stolen. [Music] Here’s Pritchard. Pass to Brown. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Here’s Kada. Back to Brown. Five on the clock. [Music] That’s a jam by Brown. Oh, I love this guy. Even when they’re trailing, he works hard to put on a show. Hey, that might be just what they need right now. I agree. I mean, now’s when they need a spark the most. Here’s Donic. Donic throwing his weight around. Nice work from Don doing a good job finding a way to get it done inside. Brown against James to the middle. Here’s White. Takes the assist and lays it in. Nice setup. White’s got 20 points. He’s bringing a lot of energy to this offense. Not letting the scoreboard discourage him right now. Boy, I tell you what, the hole would be a lot deeper if he wasn’t being as efficient as he’s been so far. From deep. Here’s Dantic. Doesn’t go for him. Celtics trail by eight. It loose. James with a steal. On the wing, releases and it’s Bushain with the rebound. Bush’s got four rebounds in the game. [Music] White finds Bush. Here’s Brown. 24 points for him. And there’s a 3sec call. This one on the defense. [Applause] This will be his third free throw of the game. [Music] [Applause] Connect checked in for Los Angeles. Here’s [Music] [Applause] Pritchard. No good with the triple. The Lakers lead by seven. On the wing. Reeves. He’s guarded by White. James outside the three from Aton. That falls. Nice speed that time from James. James has got six assists in the game. Outside White out to the right wing. White screen on Donic. Austin again missing. Los Angeles is gone. Only one of three from deep here in the third. James. Here’s Aiden. Hey, in six attempts, he’s made five. Talk about efficiency. I mean, come on. A sevenfooter with a 75 wingspan. Aiden beats everyone to the ball and converts easily. High post. Bush. James is there. White for three. It falls again. He’s now eight for 12 from the floor. And his perimeter shooting might be the key to trimming their deficit. I don’t think there’s any question about it. I mean, as long as he keeps knocking him down, it might as well keep going back to the go. Usually related to a run drive, keep firing that thing. Here’s Pritchard. Pass to Brown. [Applause] Oh, sweet move. Brown cashes in. A terrific finisher inside. Major dominance. And it comes so easily for him. Fantastic at getting to his spots on the floor. Now here is James covered by Bush. [Music] James left side and so he draws the foul. Headed to the line to shoot a pair. Clark, it’s special getting to call LeBron James games. How is the King still doing this at this age? BA. I think there are guys that come along every 30, 40 years that are just different than other guys, other players. He’s in that category. One of the all-time greats and he’s just been remarkable. Certainly DNA has a role in his longevity and excellence, but you got to give him a ton of credit. He’s committed to being at a high level for a long time, and it’s remarkable to watch him do what he’s doing at this age. Clark, what’s incredible about LeBron? He makes as big of an impact off the court as he does on it. BA I think is going to be one of the great case studies when he’s all done playing. How he’s impacted the game and uplifted people across the country and world. He’s a tremendous advocate for social justice. He’s obviously a true and successful businessman. And he’s been a vocal leader who also leads by example. He’s actually epitomizing the change he’d like to see in other folks and inspiring along the way. Here’s Brown and he can’t get that one. Some solid defense from Hayes. Here’s Reeds. Tipped. Pass break. Here come the Celtics. Here’s Brown. And so it looks like the Celtics will retain possession here. Some changes for Los Angeles. Vanderbilts checked in for James and Connect subbed in for Donic. [Music] And there’s 138 left in the third quarter. White good. Boy, it has been some kind of game for White. He’s been aggressive and fearless and free in attacking all game long. Pass to Connect. They set the pick. Three-pointer. Fails it from three. Connect’s got himself going with a triple. His first basket of the game. You’re leaving him all alone. Good luck. He’s going to drill that every time. He’s covered by Reeves. [Music] Pass to White. Six on the shot clock. Launches it. Oh, he nails it. 10 for 14 after that one. Yeah, he’s in his bag from beyond the arc right now. You see his confidence? Yeah, I’d be confident, too. As a matter of fact, I mean, you’re stacking up threes the way he is. I mean, he’s doing all this work from behind. Nice offense here. Close in. Great bet to go. [Music] [Music] That’s the Hower. [Music] Here’s the three. Smart grabs a miss. And here’s Smart. Will bring it up for Los Angeles. and finished off by Hayes. The in the lead increases on a crazy offensive sequence. Man, the duck alone would have been incredible. Let alone the fact that it came off a pinpoint pass. Well, I tell you what, they’ve got this team just a step away from being completely sleep. And we’ve watched three so far in this one. The Lakers on top, leading by nine. All right, we’re going to step aside for just a second, but join us right back here for the start of quarter number four next. [Music] All right, let’s take a look at our assist of the game presented by State Farm. And I’ll tell you what, this was a nobrainer tonight. Take a look at the precision on this feed. Couldn’t place it any better. served him up a tasty room service dime right there, boy. And this is it. Glad to have you along for this fourth quarter. They’ve got Hayes. Rui Hachimura is out there with LeBron James, but it’s Gabe Benson. And it’s Smart in at the point. That’s who’s in the game for the Lakers. Outside Brown. [Music] No good from outside. The Lakers lead by nine. James passes to Smart. Back to James. [Music] James double team. Just three to shoot. 43. No good there. and lock down defense against one of the best three-point shooters in the league. Here’s Gonzalez defended by Smarts. Gonzalez misses. Well, Los Angeles shooting it at 52%. Tachimura outside from behind the ark. hits the trifecta and the Lakers lead by 12. Now you have to extend that defense. I mean, you really have to stay connected to him at all times. Yeah, especially with the score being what it is. I mean, you got to tighten it up on deep. Brown with it. Vincent picks him up again. The miss by the Celtics. Los Angeles has gone one of two from deep in this quarter. There’s the strength of the King fighting through contact. Not easy trying to corral LeBron when he’s focused on scoring. Good luck with that. [Music] Here’s Gonzalez defended by Smart and he got the whistle on the way up. So, he’ll be headed to the line for a pair. And a moment now to quickly take a look at the offensive approach for the Lakers. Well, you know, throughout this game, they’ve shot the ball extremely well from downtown. Their shooters are getting open and letting it fly. One other thing they’ve done very well has been scoring inside. Just pounding and grinding down there. This one falls for him. [Music] And good on the second, so he makes a move. The Lakers lead by 12. James deciding where to go with it. Kicks it out to Smart. Off target from outside. The Celtics have gone 0 for three in this fourth. Not good. Brown. Passes to Gonzalez. Back to Brown. [Applause] lets it go from 14. It’s Hayes with a rebound. Hayes has got four rebounds now. Lets it go from deep. And the Lakers get it back. And the basket by Aimura. This guy has been wreaking havoc out there the last couple games. Well, he’s done it again right there on the offensive glass. I mean, it’s a great stretch that he’s having here. And boy, I really admire his energy. Bush against Hayes 14 ft away and the basket by Buché. Bush’s got his first points of the game and we’re about 3 minutes into the fourth now. James outside. Hayes with a screen inside. Finished off by Hayes. Watching LeBron in the pick and roll is artistry in motion, timing, precision, everything’s right on the mark. The 17-footer jump shot is good that time. Brown’s got 28 points for the game. Here’s James. James takes the hit and sinks the shot. You know what’s so impressive to me is the defense is trying to make adjustments, but LeBron’s making even quicker reads. That’s his IQ at work. Has to line up with it. Six to shoot outside. Brown. Big hit from outside. Jaylen Brown. When JB is on from here, it really boosts his team. And so Smart will bring it up for Los Angeles. They led by as many as 18. [Music] James inside. The rebound. Celtics. Pass to Gonzalez. And here’s Brown. Here’s Hower. Jacks up a three. It’s rebounded by Los Angeles. Aimura’s got rebound number eight here already in the game. Smart outside now. Here’s Hachimura. Defense is right there. Two points out. And it only makes sense to give him the rock again. He put the team on his back all day. And no letup in him either, guys. I mean, he wants to continue to expand that lead. And as long as he’s the one taking the shots, that lead’s going to expand. Pritchards checked in for Boston. [Applause] And the free throw no good. Celtics trail by 13. Outside Brown. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Donic grabs a miss. The Lakers lead by 13 on the wing. Aimura and the ball goes out of bounds. Last touch by Donic. You know, I think he may have forced that pass when there was really no reason to. Clea, he’s checked in for Achimura. Kadis checked in for Boston. White comes in for May not the Celtics have gotten just three of nine shots to go in. Struggling this fourth quarter. Outside White to the paint. Here’s Brown. Donic pulls down the board. Donic has got four rebounds now to the inside. Here’s Reeves. [Music] Boston pulls it in. White’s got rebound number seven tonight. Brown inside guarded by Donic. Brown no good for Los Angeles. They’ve gone six for 11 here in the fourth quarter. [Applause] Reeves against White down low. Here’s Aiden. It goes again. His sixth basket in seven tries. And that’s just terrific body control by Aiden. Setting a solid pick and then quickly getting himself open. And Joe Mazoula has called timeout looking to get everyone dialed in and engaged. [Music] [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] And Los Angeles making a change here. James has checked in. And the Celtics also making a change. Anthony Simons, he’s checked in for Hower. And let’s send it over to Ally Leforce. Over the break, I listened on Joe Maz. He did his best to light a fire under them saying we have to fight. Now is the moment we have to come out of this deficit swinging. Guys, appreciate the report. Ally Dayton has screened on Simons from deep. Here’s Donic. Kada pulls it in. Kada’s got rebound number 12 here already in the game. Brown shot misses. Good work defensively by James. Los Angeles leading by 13. Outside Reeves pass to James. Donic with it. He’s covered by Simons. Luca on the attack. That is super efficient getting in deep and then taking advantage. Bees against White. [Music] There’s a screen. Oh, here’s White on the drive. Goes up and lays it in nice and easy. White’s got four points now in the quarter. Boy, strong off the dribble as Derek White. He’s also a solidly built 6-4 that allows him to play through contact. And he was fouled while in the act of shooting. So he’ll take two free throws. That’s on Anthony Simons. [Music] That one’s off. Aimura’s checked in for Los Angeles. [Music] [Applause] And he’s been on the second. Here’s Simons outside. White to the middle. Four on the clock and no good. Oh, they pick off the pass. [Music] Brown against Donic outside. White Simons as Nachimura. White the pass to Simons and he dumps it. What a pass to set him up. Ooh, bouncy. That should give him a nice lift. Good timing. They needed that one. And you know that’s exactly what happens when you don’t settle. Well, that’s the result. Tremendous effort and a big time finish there. Luca against resistance. And trust me, when the D’s slow to react, he’ll be the first guy to make them pay. Boy, the defense looks shell shocked. I mean, they’re on the ropes right now on their heels. Shrugs off the contact and belts it home. He’ll go to the line. Well, I like the concentration and focus of White as he knows he’s going to get contact and he’s able to score through it. [Music] [Music] free. off from White. The Lakers lead by 12. Now here’s Reeves looking to get back on track. Austin pulls it in. K’s got 13 rebounds in the game. Glass eating. Here’s Brown. Oh, look out. J throwing it down. Hey, kept it simple. No reason to get fancy right now. Ba. Yeah, he’s just looking to find shots and produce for his team. Hey, I thought there was some style there, guys. What are you guys looking at? I mean, it was still a pretty sweet, flavorful one hand flush. Brown with it now. Donic defending right pass to Brown. KB off the bounce and the deficit down inside single digits. Brown’s got nine points in the quarter and Brown really is at his best when he takes it inside. defense has no idea what to do with it. James up top. Oh, plenty of contact on that shot. Officials call the foul and he’ll take two free throws now. [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] Now he misses. And James considered a franchise talent without question. This guy is the complete package. And the second free throw is good. Now Brown. [Music] [Music] That’s shot clock at five. 152 left in the fourth quarter. Hashimura against Brown. Up and over. Donic hits the front of the rim and out. defense made an impact right there. Definitely got him uncomfortable going upward [Music] outside. Reeves LeBron the smooth operator inside sees his man threads the pass inside. Excellent teamwork. Celtics trail by 11. Outside Brown over Ashimura and Aiden pulls it down. Payton’s got 15 rebounds here tonight. Nothing left to do but to watch the clock tick towards zero. Nice victory here for the Lakers. A pair of tremendous rebounding teams. And these guys played a little harder tonight. And that was the edge they needed. And we get spoiled sometimes, but we should take a second to appreciate what a sensational performance this has been for LeBron James. He was just everywhere for them on both ends. really just showing a lot of aggressiveness and intensity. Brown against Aimura. Oh, okay. We see you Jaylen. Strong in traffic. 52 seconds left in the fourth quarter here. Donic passes to Aimura. Back to Donic [Music] beyond the ark. It’s called in by White. So, it’s Boston now. 11-point game. [Music] Brown inside working on Aimura. Brown can’t hit. Aimura pass to Reeds. Shot clock and game clock. 1 second differential. Donic on the wing. Soft touch off the glass. has got 38 points. So, we see the Lakers taking the W here. This one was a fun one to watch. They were clearly in the driver’s seat down the stretch. They really were, BA. They played with great intensity on both ends of the floor and they didn’t allow their mistakes to get the better of them. Well, now a minute to check in with Ally Leforce. She’s more excited. Hey, Ally. LeBron, that was an impressive win. What did it take to get it done tonight? It’s a really good team. They’re playing. They’re very resilient just like us. They play together. They play hard. All right, Ally. stuff there.
