NHL Highlights | Devils vs. Capitals – November 15, 2025
Great to have him on board for the national anthem. Nice to have you on board for this NHL action this Saturday night. We’re off and running. Capitals in their third uniforms. The screaming eagle. Look at the New Jersey Devils. Top of the screen. You won’t see Jack’s. Yeah, hurt hand, a cut hand in a freak accident on Thursday night. Top side here for Chicken. Midpoint fire. Easy pad save for Jake Allen. Veteran net minder in goal for the Devils. Bump it from Meyer up top for Nemitz. Snap shot on the way. Rings a bar. Rebound chance. Thompson had to get back there on Meyer. Nason skip it through. Thompson a good kick out save there. Cotter lurking in the deep slot. Ritzuk keeps it alive. Shuffle it down low to Palot. Gritzuk exchanging for Luke Hughes. One touch. Potato just dumped wide by Nason who was point blank. He’s always been good right in front of the net. Grit fires and he rips the top shelf. A bullet from Marenni Gritzuk. Well, that’s what he’s known for. That wicked shot and there he shows it off here in the first period. They’ve been a team that’s given up the first a lot in the last several games in the first five or seven minutes. Here, Gritzuk gets on the board first. And that is a howitzer. How the heck do you stop that? That is a bomb coming off the flank right over the left shoulder and blocker side of Logan Thompson. Grituk has four this due date. The Devils this season goal differential even strength. They’re even. Special teams are plus eight. They score against you short-handed and they score against you on the power play. Thompson steers this one to the corner boards. Thompson rolls this around for Van Reamdike, the New Jersey native. Devils don’t allow the Caps to get out cleanly on the first try. spreading the Capital penalty killers off the head fake. Pratt feeds down low. Rotate for Nemitz. Pratt settles to the front door block with Heir there causing a commotion for Thompson. Yeah, he needed that save in a big way and so did the Caps. Good right leg and left leg together stopping that puck on a sharp angle. Shots on goal story is ugly in this first eight minutes. Mcichael looking to change it. Lets it fly. Feed it down low. Thompson shuffles over. made the save on Heir. Brous in there with the long reach. Didn’t get it clear. Meer lets this one go. Fellas, we appreciate it. The Capitals 75% on the PK at home. Two for three so far tonight. The goal for the Devils. Our Seni Gritsia and all of a sudden they’re a tip-top team. Capitals of a season to go led the league in shooting percentage. That’s not been the case this fall. Farravari fires. Stopped by Allen. Nudged this one. slot pass that came on through. Closing in Roy off the feed. Chuckard fires a pad save for Alway Staying level. Five on five. Seanthaler and sort of go round and round. Um was special night for you yesterday, special day for you. And you expect me to trust that? Happy birthday. Happy birthday. It was almost happy birthday for Jesper Brat. Another JB right there on the doorstep. Hughes closing. He scores. Luke Hughes top shelf and Bratz in the corner down in a heat. He got crushed and then they end up scoring from the blue line. Going to be a number they were looking for after the hit on Farravari. And here’s Hughes walking in. And it’s through a screen, Joe. Not only one screen but two screeners in front and he just rips a wrister to give the Devils a twogoal cushion. That was deadly accurate. I mean where he shot it from but it was the fact that Logan was screened on that and it whizzed right by him. Thompson performance live before Martin Farvari and the Cavs took aim on the Devils. New Jersey has a two nothing advantage. Goals from Grituk and Hughes. Luke Hughes that is has room to ram it off the boards and out. One-on-one for the Devils through center. Beautiful move by Brat. Steps in. Stop. Rebound. Sprawling. Thompson just a few moments ago. Were it not for Logan Thompson twice for the Devs. Leonard long way from the goal. Czech eyes up. Wristtor stopped. Rebound there. Pad save. Allen a beauty on Stone Point play. Play by Jake Allen. I really thought he had this in his glove. There’s the save, but I guess he didn’t get it securely. And the puck comes right out of his glove. He tries to hack it away with his stick, but it goes right to Dylan, who doesn’t beat him short side. I thought he had that firmly in his glove. Proous fishing for it. It belongs to Dow. Brous one touch. Wilson on a backhand. Great stop by Allen. these type of slick moves. I mean, that’s something. Look at through the back side of his body and able to pick it up on the other and still get a high danger chance. I love the curl through his feet on the back hand. Jake, last check, LA was still out in front of Ottawa in a lowscoring one- nothing game. Anton Forsber between the pipes for the Kings tonight. That could mean we see former cap Darcy Keer guarding the LA goal on Monday, improving to 4-0. KJ Lewis had 26 points for the victorious Hoyas. Allen with a pad save twice with Ovuchkin lurking in front looking for a redirect. That first one from the point was a doozy. He made that look easy. Oh, beautiful pass. Score. Mcichael on a layup for him to get on the board. It’s been nine games without a goal. Great work by Obie down low and he throws it across and there you see the collision in front with Dylan and Dylan Stro hooked up to one another colliding with the goalender Jake Allen. He loses his stick. He loses his footing. He gets pushed to the other side. I’m sure the Devils are looking at this and they’ve decided there is no goalie interference. A collision leads to the Capitals first goal. A beautiful slip pass from Ovuchkin to back in October of 2023. Sandine sends this one wide to the goal with Ovuchkin lurking in front. Alex Ovuchkin scores. The grade eight has tied it at two. Bangs home his fifth goal of the season against the Devils. He’s been moneying his career. Down he goes. Gets right back up. Gets good positioning against the Young Hughes in front of the net. Finds a puck and then spins it around and right under Jake Allen. He’s now got 89 points against the Devils. And he’s got five goals on the year. He made sure he passed the bench and tapped the glass where his two sons are sitting. And the caps have it right this very competitive, very conscientious in his own zone and about to send this one past the the regulation 60 deadlocked at two. The Capitals and the Devils alltime meeting number 242 between these two franchises. The former Colorado Rockies landed in New Jersey for the first time in the 8283 season. Threeon three, first goal wins it into the extra session. Meyer blazing in, fires, kick out save, rebound. Oh, Thompson. Marvelous on Shimone Nemits. Logan, here’s the save of the game right here. Quick shot, left toe, comes right back out to Nemit sneaking in. And just great work at the goalenders at the other end. Jake Allen on a beautiful recovery. That’s a highlight real save for sure. End to end. Here comes Ovuchkin. 27 gamewinners in his career. Looking for Wilson. Brilliant net minding from Allen. And when Denning wins the draw. Snapshot on the way. Pad save Thompson as this one is sent all the way down. Washington and New Jersey requires the shootout in the top of the first. Stro works straight ahead off his forehand. He scores. This little shuffle at the end of the line right here where he shuffles, fakes, and pulls a puck wide and that gets it past the blocker and body. Carter brings it straight ahead, carries on the forehand, stopped of it. He just held firm to the ice and watch the left pad come out and blocker and Brat going wide on the forehand. Little backhand flick is in. It’s a good goal for Jesper Brat to tie it. And that just shows how much talent this guy has. Watch him come in. Goes to the backhand and just the flick of the wrist under the bar and into the top shelf. Will carry in with a game on his stick. Richuk slows, fires, kickout save by Thompson. Logan Thompson got in real tight. The puck sort of rolled who scored in regulation. Looks to hit pay dirt now and get his team back out in front. Alex Ovetchkin one-on-one with Allen off the kick start and a diving save that’s made right under the right side of him. Here’s that kick. There’s the move and there’s the shot. Shimon Netts has a chance to win. Nemits off the head fake and he scores. The Devils led this game two nothing. Let it get away. Nemits though wins it in the shootout 3-2.
Despite scoring two goals in the third period, the Washington Capitals couldn’t complete the comeback, falling 3-2 to the New Jersey Devils in a shootout. Luke Hughes picked up a goal and an assist in the win.

The Battle of the 1974 Expansion Teams
Поломали проклятие 3 периода….
Wooooo!!! LGD 😈 What a shot by Grits and SO goal by Nemo! Gg, CAPS. Love it when Ovi scores, even if it’s against my team.
Gotta give props to the Devs for getting a W w/ so many guys out. 👏
If i had half of Bratt's stick handling…
Nemec is becoming consistently clutch
6:36 No. 902 for Ovechkin.
Nemec. 🇸🇰😘
У себя дома 😂просто-позор😂
Crazy to win without your best player and your entire starting right side D from last year gone!
Есть новый рекорд!!!
Devils fan here to say that those Caps jerseys are absolutely fire 🔥
Carbery moved Sourdif to the second line??? WTF are you doing with the team you absolute bald stupid f**k????? someone fire this cretin already!
I am glad to see Nemec doing so well this season. He matured a lot compared to his shaky performance in NHL last year. The coaches did well with him.
Ови гол + пас, а где остальная команда?
Nemec is super mister-overtime! Best! Absolutely best!!!!
Bratt is silky smooth
Nemec can be one of the best offensive defensmen. Maybe he will change his position. Look at Martin St. Louis.
1. Protas should be sent to AHL to refresh his mindset.
2. If your best scoring player is Tom Wilson, it is time to resign the coach.
3. the play is so bad not because they are not trying (apart from Protas), but because the team is so weak, and the coach is even weaker.
4. constantly mixing up lines is the strongest sign of horrible coaching.
5. theres no place of improvement, untill, probably, PLD recovers, but this wont happen any soon.
6. the worst part: theres no hope for many years to come. the rooks are s**t, no draft picks, no stars, no money under the cap. its all just grim.
Howitzer going in Washington tonight?
Nemec🤘,captai of russina army = zero.
