he’s leaving the rim because literally nobody on the other team is going to try and score in the paint while he’s standing there…
if the entire league goes on a historic 3pt spree just to avoid being blocked by wemby and the spurs go 20-62 for the next 15 years i’ll be ok with it.
i agree. let them do those lob passes or drop passes first before you treat wemby as someone who can’t defend. it’s usually a kickout to a three ball and they don’t even dare to do cutters anymore since the three is always open.
One or two statistics don’t make a case. Victor under the rim is a far too limited use of him because he has an insane ability to (re)cover ground.
