Is Bo Nix holding the Broncos BACK? 😳 ‘I’d rather LEAVE than watch him play!’ – Bart Scott | Get Up

Raz from 1 to 10 with 10 being the most panicked. How panicked are you about the Steelers? 10. But look, I mean, don’t be offended. 10, but I just don’t think they’re very good. Like, I understand they’re five and four, but they’ve lost three of their last four. They looked awful offensively against the Chargers on on Sunday night. Aaron Rogers looked old. I think this is a limited ceiling offense with a bunch of tight ends and an old quarterback, and it’s a defense that’s a lot worse than people are used to assuming. Joe, how panicked are you about their divisional rival Ravens? Four, I would have to say. Uh, the Steelers, to Graz’s point, are not cut from the cloth with which a divisional title is won. Baltimore’s got a great path coming up. Cleveland, the Jets, the Bengals, the Steelers, and the Bengals. There is concern though. Lamar since he’s returned, is averaging about 3.5 yards per carry. He doesn’t look 100% right. That obviously has to raise some eyebrows. Bart Scott, how panicked are you about the Green Bay Packers? I’m going get a solid six. But I think they have to have more uh from Jordan Love. He’s going to have to carry this team. Ever since Craft has been injured, it’s going to be more on his shoulders. And this defense, you know, this vaunted defense with uh Parson and Rashan Gary came up empty last week against the Philadelphia Eagles, which puts more pressure on Jordan Love. I I’m concerned because the Lions seem to be surging. Now, yesterday on this show, we we did a conversation and Dan Roloski made the case that Jordan Love is actually playing quite well and it’s not his fault. And we went into that side of it. There’s a lot of panic in Green Bay right now. We look at to the Giant side of it. Jamus is starting and if you want to see our picks, one of us has the Giants actually pulling the upset and it is you, Bart. And Joe, you got him with the points here. But Bart, make the case for the for the Giants to beat the Packers. Special special accommodation. Explain yourself. Explain my work. Listen, the beautiful thing about Jameus Winston is he going to throw five touchdowns. You just don’t know who he going to throw them to. You know what I’m saying? like he can come out and and look like the Jameus Winston last year with Cleveland that went and upset the Pittsburgh Steelers and was fine against that defense. Like he’s a guy that you just don’t know. Like he he he opens up so much space on the field, right? He’s like trick-or- treat, right? You don’t know what it’s going to be. You know, he opens up so much space vertically, horizontally because he has the arm talent to throw the ball wherever he wants. And listen, you always talk about when a coach gets fired, like the the team becomes galvanized and they start playing inspired. this defense is much better than what they’ve shown, right? And maybe this defense stands on its head a little bit when you have a offense in Green Bay that struggled the week before and James Winston could surprise us one of those four 500 yard games or he can throw 10 picks. Guys, knowing the the tone and the pulse of all these different markets if the Packers were to lose to the Giants. I mean, there was an article in the Athletic this week saying that Laflur should be on the hot seat. Yeah, I saw that. I I don’t know that for a fact that he is, but obviously hopes were higher. Uh especially for the offense. Bart, you said that the defense came up empty against Philly. They gave up 10 points in Green Bay’s three losses this year. They’ve allowed 16, 13, and 10 points. Defense is fine. They only need the offense to be just good enough. And it should be uh much better than that. I think the Tucker Craft injury is a big one because he was their big explosive play threat in the passing game, but he shouldn’t be their only explosive play threat in the They should be able to scheme up explosives. They’re just not doing it. They seem a little conservative. They seem a little timid. This is an opportunity. They should win this game handily. They should score a ton of points against the Giants. If they don’t, I think we’re having the same kinds of conversations about them next week that we’ve been having this week. So, I’ll say looking at this matchup, right? and I’ll start on defense for the Green Bay Packers. It’s not like you’re going against a quarterback in Jameus Winston that’s elusive. It can get away from pressure and utilize his legs. So, with that being said, when I’m looking at Rashawn Gary and Michael Parsons, they should have a field day because I don’t believe in the Giants and their offensive line like that. Michael Parsons being able to line up everywhere on the defensive line can pose problems for the Giants as well. Now, let me get to the offense of Green Bay. Yeah, because but here’s what people have to understand. It’s been painful to watch this off and I hear you stra. Coming into the season, you thought you were going to have Tucker Craft, you thought you were going to have Jaden Reed, and you also thought you were going to have Matthew Golden. Their top three guys that they were expected to have from a passcatching standpoint, they’re they aren’t even playing right now. So, I I think when it comes to Jordan Love, it’s about moments and not having boneheaded plays. Jordan Love made some throws in the fourth quarter. You had two drops. You had one by Bo Melton. You had one by Dantavian Wixs. He can’t catch it and throw it to himself. But here’s the thing. When you pay the guy 50 plus million and you’ve given him years to grow into the role, at some point you got to take what’s around you like Mahomes has had to do in Kansas City and you got to find a way. It doesn’t need to look pretty. It doesn’t need to look great. But the eye test on Monday night, he looked lost and in panic mode in the fourth quarter of that game. He looked overwhelmed. Winston can do that. Was that part of the Eagles defensive line of them getting pressure on the offensive line of Green Bay? Jenkins is now out on the offensive line. But you you have if you’re Jordan Love, you have a defense that allows you to take chances and be aggressive. like I I mean try some stuff. I I don’t think they need to play it as close to the vest as they did against the Eagles. Real quick, Jeff Hafley, the defensive coordinator of the Packers. He is a Jersey native. He will be in front of that crowd. There’s an opening opening with the Giants right now at head coach for next year. Something to watch if he wants to put on a show. The Chiefs are three and a half point favorites on the road against the Broncos who are 5-0 at home this season. I’m so confused. The Chiefs are out of the playoff picture. Joe, explain this line. Well, let’s start with this. If Denver was a two-point favorite, how much money do you think would come flooding in the sports books on Kansas City? So, a big part of this is liability. You have Patrick Mahomes, you have Andy Reid coming off a buy. You have a Chiefs team that despite the record is still very much a top five team in terms of Vegas power rankings. On the other side, what do we make of Denver? The record looks good, but look at the one-sore games record. Look at the regression of Bo Knicks. There’s one thing when you look at the record, and there’s the other thing what the eye test tells you. Denver isn’t nearly as good as that record indicates. Interesting. So, Gro, you’re going to be on the sidelines for the radio call of this one. What do fans need to know about this match up that they might not be getting anywhere else? So, Denver’s elite defense, obviously, they’ve they’ve won five games this year where they lost the turnover battle, which is I mean, that that’s ludicrous. And it it tells you the offense has work to do and the defense is picking them up. Um, it’s it’s a defense that’s playing without Patrick Certan, who’s the reigning defensive player of the year, but they’ve made up for that. is not going to have its leading tackler, Alex Singleton, uh because he had surgery, cancer surgery last week. He’s going to be good, which is great, but he can’t play this week. Um so they’re they’re fired up. They would tell you, and I was talking to Zack Allen, one of their defensive linemen, yesterday, that last year they went one and six in one score games, and they made that a point of emphasis this off season. They thought if we pay attention to the right kinds of details, we can turn that around in our favor. And so far, their record indicates that they have. six and two in one score game this year. So, we can sit here and say that that stuff evens out over time. We’re probably right, but in their minds, they feel like, hey, we did something and they feel like they’re better prepared to beat the Chiefs. Harry, you will also be on the call on the radio. You’ll be in the booth. What are you looking at? Uh, starting with the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes, protecting him is the greatest thing that Kansas City can do. When you’re looking at the Denver Broncos and their defensive line, they have three players that are top 15 in sacking a quarterback right now. They are relentless in doing so. So, protecting Mahomes is at an all-time high. When I’m looking at the Denver Broncos offensively, it’s about starting fast. They’ve had these slow starts all season long. I don’t I don’t think you can afford a slow start versus Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid and that offense of Kansas City. Bo Knicks, can you play with confidence? Are you going to be confident? This is a game that you can’t lose confidence in, especially who you’re going against on the opposing side. He’s sporadic in the pocket at times for no apparent reasons. He’s leaving the pocket early for no apparent reasons. And when you look at certain throws that should be layups, he’s not making those as well. Bart, I looked to you because we started the show and you were like, Drake May, I don’t know. But the same record is in Denver and there’s a different vibe around Bo Knicks right now. Oh, so was wrong. Numbers can lie at times, right? Because it’s not always the true indicator of what’s going on. Like when you look at what’s happened with Bo Knicks, his feet is all out of out of place. Last week alone, he was 16 for 20 for 130. That’s not sustainable. You know, this defense you’re asking a lot of. And listen, one thing I trust is experience. And one thing that Harry knows about November, November is when you make the dash for the cash is when the cream rise to the top and experience matters. That’s why you see no panic for the taco. Right. Right. Cheese for the taco. You talk about, you know, Kansas City, they’ve been here before. They’re not going to panic. They understand how important this game is. But does the pressure start to get to Bo Knicks because he’s heard that he’s heard the doubters saying that he’s holding this team back? Does he press and maybe make more mistakes? you know, he had to play at at a better level. He’s sophomore slum. You saw them against the Jets in London. What was your reaction? I mean, listen, I want to gouge my eyes out. It was some of the worst football I’ve ever seen in my life. It was if I wasn’t getting paid, I would have left at halftime. That’s how bad it was. We are back on Get Up. I’m Peter Shreger. I’m in for Greenie today and we have put together the Shreger five together. This is a list that we have collaborated that is the five quarterbacks that could make the loudest statements this weekend. Number five, Mr. JJ McCarthy going up against the Bears. Remember, Minnesota right now is in fourth place in the bottom of the NFC North. McCarthy last week after a good win against the Lions went 20 of 42 with two bad interceptions against the Ravens. Lot of heat coming in on McCarthy and what he can’t do. Can he get the win against the Bears and sweep his division rivals? Number four, how about the reigning MVP? What was that last week? What was that? Maybe the most shocking loss of Josh Allen’s entire career. And now the Bills have to keep pace with the Patriots. Slipping, slipping, and slipping from that home field advantage possibility. And now could be down three games. They play against a good Buccaneers defense. Josh Allen, the MVP, rise above number three. How about Jordan Love? He heard it all week on this show and he’s heard it all week on First Take. He’s hearing it all week locally in Green Bay. It’s what Jordan Love has not been able to do despite a $55 million a year contract. back-to-back bad home losses against the Eagles and the Panthers. They go to New York. It should be a winnable game. Jordan Love, what are you gonna do? Number two, how about Bon Knicks? I It’s a very interesting predicament because they keep winning games and yet Bone Knicks seems to be playing worse and worse and worse. Four interceptions in his last three games on national TV did not look the part against the Raiders. And now they play the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes. The game is in Denver. He’s 11-2 at home as a starter. Bon Knicks have a game. And number one, how about Sam Darnold? Sam Darnold. Why am I showing this footage? Sam Darnold is playing against the Rams. The last time we saw Sam Darnold in a playoff game, it was against the Rams. Maybe the worst game of his professional career. Right now, a win for Seattle puts them in the driver’s seat to win the NFC West. A loss. And we’re talking about what Sam Darnold can’t do in a big spot. fascinated about Sam Darnold in this game. Here is my list. Let’s bring in the other gentlemen. And I start with Harry Douglas. Number one is Sam Darnold. Are you a believer or are you a wait and see on this guy? No, I actually believe in Sam Darnold. I love what he’s been able to do this season. Two years in a row. A lot of people thought it was a fluke in Minnesota. Wrong. They were. Sam Darnold is balling out and I love his connection with his offensive coordinator Clint Kubak. Now, I would say this. I believe Bo Nicks should be number one. But let’s get back to Sam Darnold first. Let’s talk about his ball placement. Jackson Smith Jigba runs a slant. Look at the accuracy from Sam Darnold. Pinpoint accurate only where his guy can catch the football. This next play is a touchdown to Jackson Smith at Jigba. Another one on the season. Watch Sam Darnold as he play fakes. Mechanically, he’s going to do everything the right way. Put the ball out there. Get the defense flowing. Flip your hip. Sam Darnold. Make an accurate throw so your guy can just catch a touchdown. Pinpoint accurate from Sam Darnold. I love the way he’s playing. Now, as we get back to this list, though, I love the simple fact that Bo Nick should have been number one on that list. Simple fact. Yeah. Why a simple fact? Because uh I think Bo Nicks has an opportunity to an opinion. I think he should he has an opportunity to bury the Kansas City Chiefs. It’s big. It’s so like take the opportunity. If you have an opportunity to try to bury Kansas City as much as possible and you got booed last week at home, you have not been the reason why Denver has been winning. I think you can make a bold statement. That’s why I would have him at number one. I dig it. You’ll make that you’ll call that game on radio, but let’s stick here in the NFC West here. The simple fact is that we always talk about Sam Darnold in the regular season the last two years and yet that postseason in the week 17 game against the Lions were dreadful. So, what are you kind of saying out here? I I think based on the conversations I have with people around the league, the the consensus seems to be that he’s playing better now than he even did last year in Minnesota that he has elevated his game in certain ways. Uh so I I think the playoff experience that loss, you know, you can grow from that. That can harden you, that can make you tougher for the next time. It’s a significant game here. I I think the winner of this game is the clear favorite in the NFC and possibly for the Super Bowl. Wow. Because right based on the way everyone’s playing right now, yeah, these two teams are playing the best and and they’re playing each other this week in a divisional game that’s going to tell us a lot about both of them. Seattle, I think, is being slept on a little bit. They were up 35 nothing halfway through the second quarter last week. They’re crushing people and they’re doing it on the road, too. Bart, your thoughts on Darnold. Well, listen, you talk about Darnold, his worst game. You must have forgot about his whole Jets career, Ghost and all that stuff. But listen, we don’t count those. People forget people forget how young he was when he got in the NFL. He’s playing at a high level. I think he’s playing with a bit of a chip on his shoulder. You talk about how he struggled in the playoffs last year. I thought last year, you know, Kevin Oonnell, his protections were exposed by Aaron Glenn and everybody just copied the same game plan and they weren’t able to recover from that. But listen, I like somebody that’s gotten off the mat and picked themselves up because he was he’s not easily broken. I think he’s playing at a high level. His pinpoint accuracy and he’s become a true leader of that team. You talk about how dangerous the Seattle Seahawks are. You know, you talk whenever you have the ability to get to the passer with four, it gives you flexibility and coverages behind. They have the best receiver in football right now. And in Jigba, and I think Shah’s going to create more space for him as well, so they can they can get explosive, easy touchdowns. You see his highlight package. Those were explosive plays that are quick scores that only feeds that defense. Now, when you look on the other side with the Rams, I love the Rams and what they’re doing. Matthew Stafford is my um leader for MVP. No worries about the back. You know, they’re playing at a high level. My only concern is Devonte Adams and his long-term health. Okay. I would just make this quick point. The nine sacks that he was sacked last year in that playoff game against the Rams, he’s been sacked nine times the entire season this year for Seattle. Oh, look what happens when you protect your quarterback. That’s huge.

  1. Media gets so caught up. Finally be able to witness it bc bears have a qb now but Caleb was getting all the hate the what ifs and Bo nix was getting LOVE and praise like crazy now most of the people who spoke ain’t speaking about it bc they were proven wrong. That’s weak admit your mistake and give praise where it’s due. Tired of these people on these shows literally just deciding with what emotionally affects them. Instead of truth and facts. Not all but mostly the previous players. Ruins the show

  2. If Bo Nix doesn't improve Sean Payton will start giving him the same treatment he gave Russell Wilson when he was in Denver. Sean Payton plays no games. Russell Wilson talks smack on Sean Payton but Sean Payton isn't the reason Jameis Winston is Jaxson Dart's backup for the Giants.

  3. Bo Nix is not an NFL QB yet. He's too slow, confused, unprepared, inaccurate, and making too many mistakes. Patrick Mahomes will out perform Bo Nix this season. The Chiefs should sweep the Broncos this year.

  4. Bo nix hate feels forced – No he hasent been amazing this year but its year 2. everyone's all for preaching "Let rookies grow" until it's time for exactly that.

  5. 4:16 so what Harry! Soooo many teams with injuries. Key injuries at that! That’s just an excuse because everyone wants Jordan Love to be great. He s just not! He’s decent but very very overrated 💯

  6. Chiefs will put the donkeys in their place and their fans will make the “we didn’t have dobbins/surtan” excuse and “this game didn’t matter” excuse 😂 We know how it goes…

  7. Thank you ESPN for leaving YouTube TV. You made me realize how much I don't need or miss you. Disney bundle subscription will be canceled too! I realize how much I don't need news and sports slush in my mind body or soul. Cancel your subscriptions to streaming services because they have all gotten too greedy. Now it's time for the people to wake up and smell the coffee without ESPN or Disney in there life. Don't feed the hand that don't feed you

  8. I used to watch this show when ESPN was on YouTube TV. Now I can just catch clips whenever I want. I also do not miss 4-hour college football games that are actually 3 hours of commercials. i can check out recap videos. Disney is on dangerous ground when people realize they can live without ESPN/ABC

  9. Guy said their one score record is not that good……immediately the other dude is like they are 6-2 on 1 point games what do you mean 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 and two of the games were lost by FG

  10. Analysts still hoping the chiefs win the AFC West. They need to pay attention to the teams that caught up and are getting better. A surprise team will represent the AFC. If Bo can slow down and complete some throws, look out league!
