The Dallas Mavericks are falling apart, 3 and 10 on the season, and it looks like major changes are on the way, specifically with regards to Anthony Davis. With the Mavericks buried at three and 10 and Anthony Davis still on the shelf, rival teams are preparing for what the ringer Zack Low called Anthony Davis trade talks of some seriousness. Low added he would bet on yes when asked whether a deal would ultimately happen. He’s making 54 million this season. He’s appeared in only five games and his value is sliding toward the blinking red light stage. Dallas is deep into the tax and sitting above the first apron which complicates everything, but the franchise still controls its own 2026 first round pick in what many evaluators view as a loaded draft. Trading Davis would give Cooper Flag his natural forward spot back, creating financial breathing room for the Dallas Mavericks and potentially put the Mavericks in position to land the premier rookie in this year’s draft. Now, I know what you’re thinking. That’s great and all cool for Anthony Davis, but that’s Anthony Davis. That’s the Dallas Mavericks. That is not the Knicks. Well, think again. According to reports, according to the odd makers, if Anthony Davis is traded by the Dallas Mavericks, the Knicks are one of the favorites to land him via trade. New York has long sought a marquee star and pairing Davis with Jaylen Brunson and Carl Anthony Towns would dramatically raise their ceiling. Assuming the Knicks don’t need to include Towns in the deal, Golden State, meanwhile, remains in win now mode and could see Davis as a path to extend Steph Curry’s championship window. But if you’re asking me, do I want Anthony Davis, the king of street clothes on this team? Let me answer that question by saying this rather by singing this. Hell no. No. No. Never. You want him on this team? Mr. King of Street Clothes himself with all the talent that he has. He is so injuryprone. You’re never going to see him on the court. He has a worse injury history than Mitchell Robinson. Than Mitchell Robinson. You want that player on this team? No way. No thank you. There is only one player New York will be trading for and that is Giannis Attempt. There is no other player on this planet right now that the Knicks would go out there and gut their roster for to trade for another superstar. And that superstar being Anthony Davis. And I’m using that superstar word loosely while talking about Anthony Davis because I can’t remember the last time he’s even looked like a superstar. You have to be healthy and active to actually look like a superstar. When’s the last time he’s been healthy and active? Once again, don’t worry. I’ll wait. But you know what? Let’s play along here. Let’s say the Knicks wanted to trade for Anthony Davis. What would that trade package look like? Shout out to Bleacher Report and NBA retweet on the app X for giving us this following information. According to them, this is the proposed Anthony Davis trade deal between three teams that get the Knicks Anthony Davis. Here it is. In this trade, the Knicks get Anthony Davis, Jaden Harvey, Brandon Williams, and Dante Exum. The Mavs get Carl Anthony Towns, Gerson Yabaselli, Tyler Kle, Pome Dier, and Ariel Huckport. The Nets get Dwight Pal and a 2027 second round pick. From which team? I’m not sure. But because it’s a second round pick, I don’t think either team would mind giving it up. You want the Knicks to give up what? Cat Yabacelli and basically all of the Young Nick players for a broken Anthony Davis when Carl Anthony Towns is playing better than AD this season for the simple fact that he’s just available more. You want New York to make that trade? Let me answer that again with the same thing I sang before. Hell no to the na. Why? Why would we do that trade? No way. No chance. There is nothing on this planet that would make New York want to make that trade. It’s horrible. The Knicks, if they made that trade, they would be a worse team. They wouldn’t be a better team. a broken down AD on this team and you’re losing one of your bench pieces even if he’s not a great bench piece in Gerson Yabaselli then all of the young Nick players Tyler K become Dier Ariel Hawkport all the investment time and development that you put into these players you’re now going to throw it all away for a broken down player and if one of those players starts to become an actual NBA star you now lose out on that player for chasing an aging ad, an aging superstar. This move would be a classic Nick move from 20 years ago. Under Leon Rose, there is no chance, no chance that the Knicks would ever make this trade. King of Street clothes will never wear the orange and blue in his entire career. I don’t know what’s wrong with some of you guys. I’ve seen some of the comments on social media. Some of you guys even thinking to yourself that maybe you could get AD on this team. He could not get injured because yeah, that’s magically going to happen. Carl Anthony Towns can go to another team. He’s not going to go off and thrive with that team. Yeah, that’s right. He didn’t do that with the Knicks in his first year, right? Either way, you want that to happen. and want everybody to be okay with it. Never. Thankfully, we have a competent front office.
