No in between. Either we’re the best team or we absolutely suck and should fire everyone
Well the Flames are desperate and those teams are dangerous. Helle couldn’t really do anything about the goals against, from the highlights I saw.
It’s also pro sports, Any team can beat any team on any given day.
The Winnipeg Jete
Idc if its the last place team, there are no easy wins in this league. However if the jets had made better plays and decisions with the puck, they could have won the game in regulation, thats the part that annoys me.
Okay was going to put this on the game thread but I was in Calgary and saw the game live. The Jets are playing completely different than last year. Nothing is crisp, they can’t seem to build off anything, the shift changes are just listless. I was behind the bench and you can see the frustration after every shift. There is no click. When you see it in person it is a dramatic falloff from last year.
Also if you read u/garret9’s analysis – Calgary is actually pretty decent at 5v5 which is currently the Jets’ bane of existence. While you would like to see the Jets crush a team like this, it’s still the NHL – any team can win on any night.
Fun random factoid, given how random hockey is (ie: close scoring, low scoring, with high parity), we theoretically would expect the “best team in the league” to be unlucky enough to miss the playoffs about once every 50-100 years.
There’s an 11 point gap between first and 27th. It’s still early but the league is the most competitive that it’s been in a very long time. The jets are finally starting to get healthy and are coming off the longest road trip of the year all on the west coast. Some of you need to take a breather.
How about the always “classy” schieffle mounting off at the ref and getting a misconduct penalty.
Way to go you mouthy brat. That really changed the refs mind about you. What a maroon
This is whaly you weren’t on the four nations cup roster. You’re undisciplined and immature.
Shut your f@#&ing mouth.
Being a Jets fan builds character… and pain tolerance
Calgary is a much better team than their record. They can go on a terror and move up quickly
There must dangerous Wolf is the one in Calgary’s net
Man, there are a lot of apologists around here. That game last night was horrible. At least the Flames are supposed to be bad. As for parity, that’s largely the result of the league handing out loser points. The Jets are not playing their system like last year. The team’s defensive play has been terrible. Forwards are not back checking like they need to. The amount of turnovers from players who shouldn’t be making those kinds of mistakes is ridiculous. Hopefully, they can sort things out.

How do you barely beat yourself in a shootout? /s
