NHL Highlights | Canucks vs. Lightning – November 16, 2025

The Tampa Bay Lightning with numerous players out of the lineup found a way to get the victory and they’re back at it in their building now. Tyler Myers starting on defense with Marcus Patterson. The Canucks play the puck into the Tampa zone. Indirect pass for Kane. Didn’t work. Back comes Darren Radish round the bank of the goal. Try to wrap around. Lankin had a little trouble but he’s able to get the whistle. Lightning win it. JJ Moser tease one up for Jake Kensel. Stick save by Lankin and again he covers the puck with Heronic doing a good job. He’s a career above 50 with 51% faceoff man and was a very good accomplished penalty killer as well. Garland mixing it up behind the play with Radish as Gensel brings the puck ahead. They’re still talking well behind the play. Oh, here they go. And they’re going to fight. Conor Garland has dropped the gloves with Radish and Garland able to wrestle him down. Radish caugh up and gave a late one after he’d been taken down to the ice. But it was a hit along the inboards that Garland took exception to and Kucks able to move the puck outside the line again. Emil Little who opened the scoring against Florida last night. Here’s Braden Point with room on the right wing. Point moving in with a wrist shot attempt. block gets it again. Backhander stopped by Lan behind the defense but it was intercepted in the last moment or he might have had a breakaway. Gourd to the blue line. Long shot by Du is steered to the corner by Lank. Lightning moved the puck out and here comes Gel on Elias Patterson. Jake Gensel turning with the puck. Feeds the line now at the right point. Crosier a long shot. A save from Lank and production not tested. Jonas Johansson at the other end down from the blue line. Puck is centered off the post and then Saburn put his own rebound wide. What a chance for Scott Sabin. Set up shots from distance, but this one’s right from the slot off the crossbar and then off the side of the net from Sabin. Lightning starting to change here with the puck deep in the bank of his own. Here’s a chance for Saburn banging away. Loose puck cleared the line. Croser sets it up to the middle. Braden point in on the left wing. Meyers shadow him to the blue line. Sent near side. Cooer scores [Laughter] [Applause] [Music] about a 50ft diagonal pass and a one-timer from Nikita Cuchro to open the scoring. But done such a good job of forcing the Tampa Bay Lightning to dump the puck in and grind from there. But this line for Tampa Bay gain the zone twice and the second time set up and Radish is going to put it all the way diagonally across. Cout was standing there for a while and ready for this shot. You can see his stick up in the air signaling to Radish to get it across. Cuts could get and that’s the difference in this one thus far. Cone Besser Sherwood start the second period for the Cubs. Eric Chernack risked it in the bank of his own. Kachuk over skated it. Hughes had it knocked off his stick. Here’s Hegel to the line. Long shot by Turnack. Ticked in. [Laughter] Jakeel was in the neighborhood. And if that’s the case, it’s usually his stick that got it. Another goal against the Canucks in Gensel’s going to be right in the ey line of Lankan and [Applause] Elias Patterson top of the circle left side down to Kefir Sherwood back up to Patterson quickly across to Hughes. Patterson again sidesteps his man shoots stop rebound they score. Jake de Brusk another power play goal as the Patterson shot provided the rebound that de Brusk put home to get the Canucks on the board. He’s so good at the front of the net deflections and then finding rebounds. Person is going to walk to the top after he gets this puck back and then split the two defenders. Little move there. Now he’s in a shooting area. The Russ was looking for that tip and as soon as it got past him, he’s able to recover, find the puck, jam it home. Fires out the far side. Here’s Bork Strand across as they tried to back door play, but the pass was blocked. Now it’s centered. Oh, and Lanken and the save off Gensel right on the doorstep. believe he didn’t get it under Kevin Lanken and the initial pass doesn’t get there and then Gensel’s the only one at the front of the net. Stick down just in time and Lankan spllays across and Ziblick pulled it out. That right pad gets down in time and then he back in conversation. And you’re right, it is Yanni Gourd seems to be delivering most of the Yeah. words and half of it will be in French too. So it’s like come on. Off the face off. Canucks get the puck back to Heronic who sends it wide to the goal. Lenus Carlson. Heronic at the blue line into the middle. Elias Patterson with a shot. Hughes takes his pass at the blue line. Besser top of the circle. Tampa player trying to defend without a stick. It deflects in. Besser threw it on goal and I think it hit the Tampa player Moser in front. It ricocheted in past Johansson and the Canucks with a power play goal tied the game. Was it Kefir Sherwood who’s first man to the bench? Yeah, it went off Bo Mer skate to the front of the net. Here’s Chernack without a stick. He’s going to try and block it and it looks like Berser’s trying to go for De Brusk. I think it may be Sherwood just off the heel. I don’t know. Underneath the bottom of the shaft of his stick and then off then off Moser. Definitely off Moser’s inside of his left foot trying to defend at the front of the net. Sherwood’s presenting the stick. Yeah, I think it just went off the bottom portion. Kucks Rel to the line now. Meyers at the right point down to Lucas Reichel. Tips the puck to the corner. Picked off there. Thrown around by the Lightning. Canucks get it back. McKenzie Mckert gets it again. Backhands one. Scores a long range backhander. Carlson was in front as McKernan put it on goal and the Canucks with a couple of quick ones have taken the lead here with the candles. The puck does not get out at the line. Kept alive and then Mckan loses it. Gets it back. Backhand offering and a battle at the front of the net as McKan gets it there. Kane couldn’t take the pass cleanly. Now he gets it back to Veronic. Near side to Hughes. Quinn Hughes moves to the middle. Tries a long r tipped in. Canucks have another one again with traffic to the front and a long shot and it’s 4-2 Vancouver in the Canucks favor. Some battling and once it’s going to get back to the point, Quinn Hughes is going to do Quinn Hughes things. try to de out Gourd and then get it right to the front of the net and Okconor is ready to tip. Gets away from Bjorkstrand pass the right side of the goalender. 42 Canucks. [Applause] Here’s Max Cone wristing the puck in from center. Came right in front and Johansson had to make a save as Besser had that puck come off his stansion right onto his stick. Elias Patterson got his stick on that. Vander feeling a little helpless right now. No stick to play with. Here’s by Chernack. Kicked out by Lincoln. Rebound. Score. Should have been blown. Coach’s challenge brought to you by Specs Savers. Should have gone to Spec Savers. Keep your eyes healthy with regular eye exams including an OCT health. After video review is determined that there was a high stick at 8:14. So therefore there is no goal on the play. A successful challenge for Adam foot in the Vancouver Conucks high and wide trying to glove side. Johansson. Bit of room up there. Hughes back in on the left wing. Quinn Hughes goes around the net. Comes off the far side. Tease it up for Heronic. Kipped in. What is with these deflections? Long shot from Heronic. A fourth assist for Quinn Hughes. And the Canucks on another goal by McKenzie McKicken. It would appear up by three. He takes it behind the net and he’s going to set up his partner Heronic who’s ready to shoot. This is going wide and it went off Stew the defenseman. Did Mcker get a stick in there too? Cuz it sounded like a stick. [Music] Ederson wins it. Meyers fights off the check, but now he’s got three Lightning players on and digging the puck free as Hegel puts it in front. Point couldn’t get it to go. Canucks try to shock the empty net. Now Marcus Patterson will as well. And there you go. The last team in the NHL to get one according to DT. And the Conucks have a 6-2 lead here in Tampa as Marcus Patterson first goal of the year. It was all about defending in front of your own goalender. It started that way. And the puck is tipped out by Milander. Ratu giving chase. He’s going to run out of time, but it doesn’t matter as Ratu mixes it up with Lillberg on the horn. [Music]

Quinn Hughes dished out four assists, Elias Pettersson and Filip Hronek each recorded two assists of their own, and Kevin Lankinen made 28 saves to lead the Vancouver Canucks to a 6-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.

  1. Сьогодні переможець = рикошет ( і це в однієї команди ) , але ж і результат по грі ( все інше це чиїсь,,хотелки,, )

  2. Never seen refs this moronic in my life…. ref just standing there watching Vancouver player hold tampa stick and yank it out of hand and slash…. no call

  3. Watching this team hurts my head sometimes but damn it if it isn't entertaining when they win like this. Thought they were done after that 1st period.

  4. Canucks benefited from good goaltending, acceptable defence and some lucky goals. That's what you get though when you don't get too fancy, just puck on net, traffic in front. Well done 3rd and 4th liners

  5. Кучерову, либо уже не интересен хоккей, либо баба дома задолбала. Эмоций ноль у человека

  6. Canucks are wildly unpredictable. It's like being a passenger in a car on the highway doing 20 over the speed limit and the driver is high on meth and drunk and you still have a 8 hour drive ahead of you.
