Odds at the beginning of the season you thought this would be our record?

I know it’s still early in the season for pace projections, but fuck it. On pace to hit the over on points for the season by almost 30.
I thought this team had an upper limit of low 80s. Playoffs felt unobtainable. But a good showing was due. Especially if u watched the end of last season, they were playing really well.

What impresses me the most is that this team has a +12 goal differential at 18 games in.
– Puck movement on the power play is noticeably improved.
– Puck pursuit in their own zone. Closing on the puck and stickwork from Vlasic, Kaiser, and Crevier especially. Seeing that now from Levshunov too.
– Neutral zone puck movement that maximizes the plethora of elite skaters. When the pass isn’t there, guys are skating it out effectively.
– Elite goaltending.
– They’re scrappy and don’t take shit. There’s a team vibe.
There is the makings here of a solid team for sure!
I started saying last year, that the 2025 season “we’ll sniff a chance at the playoffs, there’s a small chance we make it” and for 2026 season “I have told everyone we will make the playoffs no doubt” so I hope I don’t become a liar
Nope. I thought a little better than last season, but not this. Thought Bedard was gonna be the same as the last 2 seasons. Whats changed for the better? For me
1.Bedard
2.new starting gloalie Knight
3.new coach Blashill
4.Mikheyev on pk
5.Nazar
6.Levshunov
7.so many more positives to list
I spent the summer telling friends and idiots on Facebook this team was going to be a surprise. They didn’t need to sign the “huge talent” they are growing them in the system. I was laughed at.
I told them the biggest improvement would be getting rid of the pylon, Brodie and Martinez, that the young d-core was coming but mistakes were going to happen throughout the season…I was laughed at. Even I’m a little surprised but I’m not overly shocked.

We knew they were going to be better than last year and I personally was against the analysts saying we were a bottom 5 team again. However, I figured a surge was going to happen when we were already sniffing playoff elimination. Never would have guessed we would be a top 10 or top 10 cusp team coming up to American Thanksgiving. Good meaningful hockey in Chicago being back is curing my depression. So let’s ride this year. It’s been a blast!
I thought we would be a wildcard team but so far my expectations have been surpassed. I didn’t think so far that we would be in every single game til the end
It’s been such a pleasant surprise to finally have a team that can compete. If you told me we’d over .500 hundred almost 20 games into the season, I would have been stoked.
What’s funny to me is that we have very winnable games our best two. If we do that, then what?
Very very low. I’m pumped, dude. This is what we have been waiting for
Very low I thought fs we would be competitive but not at the point where we 9-5-4
After many years of hearing the rebuild excuse, as a fan all I want is .500. If they make it past the first round the boys are going to be electric!
Game last night was great to watch them fight the whole time and snag the W
Absolutely Zero, my thought going into this season was that we were going to be better than what folks were saying, but only by a few wins.
The offseason was discouraging as there was literally no big piece that we could have picked up–everyone was either committed somewhere before the offseason started or already resigned. The rising cap meant that the top teams kept all their best players and every analyst put us squarely in the bottom of the league once again. We all knew the kids would improve, but not nearly to this extent.
I was maybe skeptical, felt a lot depended on the coach…and Blash has NOT disappointed. Thought we could certainly be this good if the young guys stepped up. And they largely have. So optimistic I was, pleasantly surprised it’s been this good. Certainly thought .500 but this is great!

They’re performing waaay better than I expected before the season
All compliments goes to Blashill. He is puttting players to position to succeed. And we playing style of hockey which fits players. That’s all you can ask for from coach.
Bro like an idiot I bet $100 we’d make the playoffs this year sooooo I’m pretty jazzed right now at the 16-1 odds
I thought they’d be competitive, but this is much better than I expected.
