Brock Purdy couldn’t have scripted his return from injury any better

  1. Could have been better if it was last week and beat the sorry ass rams but this season unfortunately is a bloodbath in injuries.

  2. It was obvious on that first long drive that our offense was clearly elevated by Purdy

  3. Two passes in the hands of DBs that were dropped and wasn’t seeing it quickly near the endzone. I think that having obvious things to improve is really good when you already played well shaking off rust. The Kittle connection is unmatched and scoring touchdowns instead of field goals makes such a huge difference. Pass protection was really good today. I appreciate everything Mac is doing for this team, but even still going through turf toe Brock was shuffling around and doing things to extend plays that simply isn’t Mac’s game. And this was with the obvious gameplan of stopping Purdy from himself with no real scrambles. More players will be back, our bye is still ahead of us. A lot of teams have peaked early in this season already. It’s getting that perfect time where we want to playing our best ball, putting up 40 burgers on offense and getting just enough big plays on defense

  4. I expected far more rust, but Purdy quickly put that to rest.

I think he’s still far away from his peak play. Passes didn’t have as much zip, he wasn’t as fast and shifty and didn’t scramble, and he threw a couple pick-worthy passes.

It’s really encouraging to see where he’s at. He should only get better from here and he’s already a clear upgrade to the offense.

  5. I disagree. We got beaten convincingly by Jacksonville and he reaggravated his toe. But his second return went pretty well today.

  6. It typically goes under-appreciated in times like this but Brock had AWESOME line protection today.

  7. Mac Jones did a great job covering for the injured starter, but the offense just functions better with Purdy. Fewer passing yards, but more touchdowns. The offense is going to have to score a lot of points to compensate for the depleted defense

  8. Meanwhile, some people are running of excuses that Purdy is not the better QB and are just on YouTube with moot points to collect super chat $.

  9. Imagine him coming back vs the Rams and lost. Everyone will be going for his head and want to trade him

  10. There’s definitely a lot to nit pick, but a win is a win! Especially with score differential! Bang bang

  11. Quit talking up the team. We need more headlines like “Is Mack Jones the new face of the 49ers?” And trash talk like “yeah but is 3TDs really that good or is CMC losing his step”. Then they’ll pick against us on Sunday and we’ll come out ballin.
