Makes sense he’d retire a King. Or I guess he could play until he’s 40+ who knows these days. I’m not a salary cap head: does anyone know if this is a good deal for both he and the org?
Are there any meaningful pending free agents left? This summer might be really boring.
If he keeps playing this way it will be a great value down the road
I’m not a kings fan but any team would love to have him. Pretty damn good at hockey lol
I know he’s a great player, but $10.6 million for a 29 year old winger with a career 0.65 p/gm seems quite steep. Sure, his last 2 seasons have been near PPG. But dude definitely didn’t give his long time home a team discount. This is the new rising cap NHL though. Hopefully he can keep up his recent pace for 8 years in his 30s.
