Can This Oilers Defense Bounce Back?

I mean, the bottom line is, and for me, you nailed it. The defense group is is capable of better hockey and they’re capable of better play with. And it there’s one thing when you look at a team, you go, “Okay, they’re playing as best as they can. They need reinforcements.” I mean, that is clearly on on the back end there with that group. They haven’t played up to their level of of what they and and I’m talking about a high level because they’ve shown that in the in in in the last couple years that they can play at that elite high level. So, they’re not there, Jason. The goalending is league average, and league average gets you nowhere. And you know, and we know what what’s happening up front, trying to I mean, Jack Russell’s been a fantastic addition in there. You know, Mattis Seavoy looks like he’s trying to find his way there, looking to get a little bit more confident. and Ike Howard down to the miners now, but there there’s simply not enough uh upfront uh or seemingly not enough up front to support the uh two superheroes.
