Lauri Markkanen POPPED OFF For 47 Points! | November 16, 2025

Keyonte George drilled a right-arc three with 0.8 seconds left in double overtime as the Utah Jazz defeated the Chicago Bulls 150–147 in a 2OT thriller to close out tonight’s NBA action. Utah improves to 5–8, while Chicago falls to 6–6.

Coby White scored 27 points with 8 assists and 4 rebounds in his season debut. Josh Giddey posted 26 points, 12 rebounds, and 13 assists, recording the 21st triple-double of his career, his third this season, and his 10th as a Bull—making him one of just three players in franchise history with 10 triple-doubles (Michael Jordan – 28, Scottie Pippen – 15).

Lauri Markkanen went for 47 points, knocking down six threes and adding 7 rebounds. He now owns three of the six games in Jazz history with 45+ points, 5+ rebounds, and 5+ threes (Donovan Mitchell – 2, Bojan Bogdanović – 1).

It was his third 40-point game of the year, joining Luka Dončić (4) and Stephen Curry (3) as the only players with three such games. It was also his second 45-point game of the season, making him and Curry the only players with multiple 45-point outings. Markkanen has now posted back-to-back games with 40+ points and 5+ threes, becoming the first player in Jazz history to achieve that streak.

  1. I watched the Euros this past summer and this guy was cooking. I expect him to have a great season. Teams should be looking into how to acquire this guy. He’s a key piece to a championship

  2. Lauri Markkanen is going nuclear.
    47 tonight.
    40 before that.
    35 before that.
And a 51-piece already this season.
He’s in the best form of his career.

And that’s exactly why the phone is ringing.

    Spurs or Pistons?
    Both make sense.

  3. Can't wait for the flood of comments saying the Jazz need to give him away for basically nothing since he's being "wasted" in Utah, oh, but also he's the most overpaid player in the league and they were dumb to pay him.

No you guys, the Jazz should totally trade him for a vet in their mid 30's and 1 or 2 first round picks, instead of letting him be a major piece to a rapidly rebuilding corp!

  4. Kessler got injured and he still continues this insanity. 🇫🇮⭐️

(Markkanen just wants to win and compete so Utah Jazz trade him away or start to be serious🙏)

  5. Its sad to watch Lauri toil away in no man's land for his whole career. The only thing that keeps me from really feeling bad is the fact that Markkanen himself doesn't really care, he has no ego at all. Send him somewhere, anywhere!
