Defense played absolutely absurd, we genuinely showed we are deservably a top 5 defense.
You know how much trust that defense has to have in Sam, to play lights out and dominate that Rams offense as best anyone can. Just to lose and still defend him – even though the one major reason we lost was the turnover battle.
If that doesn’t show how good our teams mental resilience is – I’ve no clue what does. Because I’ll tell you right now, any one of us in that position are definitely not saying what Jones said. We obviously wouldn’t talk shit, but we sure as hell wouldn’t say what Jones said.

Yeah things obviously were moving a little too fast for Sam today – Rams were getting great pressure and the coverage was solid. I’m sure he’ll learn from it and come back stronger and maybe the coaches will dial up some audibles and check downs to help him out. Hopefully it’s a “steel sharpens steel” situation and the hawks come out a better team for it. The Zabel injury is much more of a concern IMO 😬
I love the sentiment. This team is gelling and he’s played great this season. This loss was genuinely on Sam – and that’s not derogatory. QB throws 4 picks and we lose by 2? It’s on Sam.

I like that despite a lot stellar stands and the stats Ernest takes responsibility for the things that went wrong. Meat On the Bone. They’re going to get better.
I agree with Sam. It was his fault. With even just mediocre QB play they win that game. Sam killed his team today 100%.
Cool of Earnest to be a good teammate and all, but we can all admit he’s wrong.
I don’t think he could have said it better, solid show of support from both sides of the ball. Tough game for Darnold, yes, but glad a defensive leader on our team is also supporting our guy after a rough one. Darnold has shown us he’s capable of putting a few wins on his back, but we also need to calm down about a tough loss like this one. 2 pt loss to a team we were being compared to as 1A and 1B in the NFC at their home is fine by me.

– Sam Darnold lost us this game.

Same way when the Bucs were carving us open, the offence didn’t blame the D. There’s a spirit to this team

I like Ernest and Sam, but you can’t throw 4 picks and expect a win… but the fact that we were still in it says a lot about our team
I mean, it’s not toxic to say this loss was 100% on Darnold because it was, 4 ints is unacceptable.
That said, one bad game in the middle of the season and still 7-3 in a game with 2 points in the difference is not something to panic about. All our losses have been one score games. Just sucks, of all the games to shit the bed it’s an important divisional.
