Cooper Flagg Scores 21 Points vs Trail Blazers | November 16, 2025

Dallas defeated Portland 138–133 in overtime, improving to 4–10 on the season, while the Trail Blazers fall to 6–7.

Cooper Flagg filled the stat sheet with 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. P.J. Washington matched him with 21 points and added 7 rebounds, while Daniel Gafford posted 20 points and 6 rebounds. Klay Thompson added 19 points, knocking down five threes. The Mavericks’ bench also made a major difference, outscoring Portland’s reserves 47–15.

Shaedon Sharpe led the Blazers with a season-high 36 points, adding 4 rebounds and 6 assists. Deni Avdija followed with 29 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists, while Jerami Grant contributed 26 points and 5 rebounds. Donovan Clingan provided strong interior play with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Dallas shot a perfect 7-for-7 from the field in overtime, becoming just the second team in the play-by-play era (since 1997–98) to go perfect on seven field-goal attempts in an OT period. The only other instance came from the Milwaukee Bucks on Oct. 30, 2001, in a win over Utah. No team has ever gone 100% on more field-goal attempts in an overtime frame.

  1. that play at 1:10 was a perfect example of what this kid is capable of. reads a cut and makes a great steal, dribbles 2 players up court, cuts into the paint and spins the 3rd defender before hitting him with a euro and makes the and 1 on a seperate trailing defender. What a talent…

  2. He was like this at duke too. Just really humble kid who was hesitant to take over until he got more comfortable. His talent is generational. The mavs need to tell him he is option 1 now that everyone is hurt

  3. when I see people talk 💩 about Cooper even when he has a 16pt 8rb 4ast game and is a 2way player. I really think they forget he is the 2nd youngest player ever to do it. This is him at his floor and it will only get much better with time and strength after an NBA offseason work out regimen.

  4. He is talented, he is big, and he's smart. He'll be in the USA Olympic roster in the next Olympics. He can be the best American player of the next generation.

  5. He is a slow white lebron regen. He plays team first basketball, has a crafty game instead of athletic. Inside outside scorer and a playmaker. The mags gave up Luka but at least they got their new franchise player.

  6. Some ppl talk bad ‘bout cooper flagg but he’s the youngest player in the nba RN and he is a ROOKIE, lol, he doesn’t need to be the best player in the world the first year he plays in the nba, let him progress.

  7. They ice him out of the offense too much. They need a better PG that can pass not just score. He's open a lot of the time on cuts and in transition, that's what he excels at. Those are missed opportunities. His handles aren't quite good enough yet to be a PG himself but he can grow into it. They tried to force it on him but he's just not comfortable in that role yet. A couple more years he probably will be.
