  1. Every season the fanbase needs a scapegoat. That year it was Westbrook. Last year it started with Gabe Vincent and ended with Jaxson Hayes. Now it’s Vanderbilt. It’s just what we do.

  2. As UCLA alum and someone who’s been a Russ stan for basically his entire career, I wanted it to work out with him so bad. I defended him more than most. But even I couldn’t take it anymore. He just refused to adapt his game, he deflected blame, seemed uncommitted to winning at times, and then picked up his player option knowing it would fuck the team’s chance to compete.

  3. I’m actually thankful for Westbrook, if that shit never happens we probably never get Luka. Dont ask me how this makes sense, but it’s how I cope with history. The butterfly effect or something of that nature

  4. His contract for his level of play was the biggest problem tbh. He wasn’t horrendous just way overpaid

  5. Nah that’s too much impact to be Westbrook, if he caused that it would have shifted to the left

  6. There is a reason why Russ has been on three teams since the lakers. He isn’t good on a winning team. Good for empty stat padding. Doesn’t play defense. Turnovers the ball too many times. Black hole on spacing.

  7. He single handedly Destroyed our title hopes, much like he did with OKC, Houston, Washington, the Clippers, Denver, and Sacramento.

  8. How much was his contract? How much did he contribute to the team? Do the two, when compared, dwy Russ wasn’t a large part of the problem?

  9. The front office deserved all the blame. Those Westbrook teams were so terribly put together
