What a waste, this is Mike Matuella all over again. Maybe worse, at least he didn’t spent two full seasons of development on the shelf. Rosario has the best stuff in the system and it’ll be a shame to see him effectively relegated to a bullpen piece at this point. And that’s if he *doesn’t* get plucked in the Rule 5 next offseason
Now we know he’s at least alive. We haven’t heard a peep from anybody about Rosario since he was out lol
Wow he finally decided to have surgery !!
How are Marc Church and Josh Sborz doing?
Why did it take so long for him to get the procedure? Didn’t we know he needed it in like May ?

I usually hate posting SI articles but this is the only publication reporting this (other than the [Prospect Times newsletter](https://theprospecttimes.com/texas-rangers-prospect-alejandro-rosario-to-miss-entire-2026-season/?ref=the-prospect-times-newsletter), you should definitely get on this)
[According to David Laurila at Fangraphs](https://blogs.fangraphs.com/sunday-notes-mike-hazen-on-azs-middle-infield-and-more-from-the-gm-meetings/) it appears Rosario finally got surgery at some point in the last few weeks (months?) and he’ll be out for 2026. According to CY is was a “common elbow inury” but doesn’t confirm it was TJ.
