I think we all agree with that take.
Statistically it was a horrible game for Sam. The film isn’t quite as tough on him, 2 of the INT it seemed like the receiver didn’t run the best route and the timing was off. The others Sam was getting pressure and forced a throw. Darnold just needs to realize that we have a top defense in the league and great talent on offense, so things realllllly don’t need to be forced. Just take the sack or throw it away. Got to cut down on turnovers
*So you see, that’s where the trouble began.*
*That smile.*
*That damned smile.*
If their punter doesn’t make the best kick of his career and we start on the 10 yard line we have such a better chance to win this game.
I think what got us in yesterday’s game was a combination of things but more than anything Sam feeling uncomfortable in the pocket and relying solely on timing based passes. Timing QBs can get in a lot of trouble when defenses lock down their options and/or apply pressure, so I’m sure he got rattle by both when and where they applied to each turnover.
Needless to say, this is something that is coachable from a ballgame and mental health perspective, so if we can get over these humps, then we’re golden. I’m feeling confident that week 16 will be different and that GEQBUS will pull through.
Do not lose hope over one bad game. Like sherm said, Sam is playing above and beyond what is expected out of a 30M dollar QB.
I fucking love the Seattle Seahawks.
Love coach Mike’s response, we’re lucky to have him!
Sam has been incredible all year. We all have shit days at work. We ride for Sam
Really love to hear his focus on inputs rather than outputs when coaching. Process is something you can control, results less so. The NFL is a results driven league but the teams that sustain success do so because they know how to evaluate and improve their processes. What a fantastic hire.
First off, Ernest is the man. I’ve been blessed to know some people like that and it feels good to know they have your back.
Macdonald’s response on delving deeper into the “decision criteria” and “inputs”, is such a great response. It’s a great way to break problems down into components and understand what’s really happening (defining the problem). I think Sam has a high ceiling with these coaches, because Macdonald understands it is a process and it takes continued refining.
I love this team so much. I love what they stand for.
Yeah Darnold seems very averse to throwing away or taking a sack. Not sure if its stats or what, but he only prefers to throw in traffic when he has several safer options with the ball.
He’ll adjust.
Biggest thing I think I saw yesterday was Sam trying to do too much. Just trust the process trust the team. It’s ok if you take a sack here and there. Sometimes the defense just wins. Throw it away or take a sack. He’ll learn from that I hope. Slight corrections to decision making and we’re good.
Having a day like that and still only losing by 2 is something else. Especially to that rams team.
I really love how MM is so research and process driven as opposed to just rhetoric. Like it’s not that we need to stop turning the ball over, it is more about *how* do we prevent ourselves from doing that? God we are so lucky to have him as our head coach!
Reading some of these comments is telling in who actually listened to coach Mike and Jones, and who just wants talk.

Everyone agrees with this. And why I passionately love this team ! Seahawks are the real deal and the end of the season we will rock the rams. Go Hawks
I cant stay angry at you
That’s some fucking good culture there.
I fucking love this coach, i fucking love this team and i fucking love my qb. 4 picks and we still had the rams clenching their cheeks with 1 second on the clock. They didnt beat the seahawks, the seahawks lost that game. Next one wont be the same.
I love this team so much
Salk is so fucking annoying. Brock is cool but I’m sorry Salk just loves to stir shit up i can’t stand him.
It’s not the performance you want to see, but I’m sure no one feels worse about it than Sam. No need to pile on.
Just gotta move forward and know that they’ll have another chance to beat the Rams and the Niners.
