If this is noteworthy enough to call out, what do teams typically do on bye weeks? Do they not usually have the whole time off anyway?

Just a reminder that the chiefs game will have been the team’s only game in a 23 day span between the TNF Raiders game and SNF Commanders game on the other side of the bye. Team is out in front and getting significant rest at the right time. And with how the last six weeks of the season look, chances at the No. 1 seed and first round playoff bye are looking *very, very* good right now.
Can we just give the defense the week off? Sorry offense but you have some work to do

Man, have they earned their R&R! The scheduling for this team has been brutal this year, and it’s not done yet: they’ll have another Thurs night game (Christmas) at the Chiefs. The stretch run of opponents is the toughest part of their slate, and it’s a grind anyway this time of year.

Can we please stop saying that teams have the number 1 seed until they actually do? Yes, if the playoffs started today, we’d be the top seed. But you don’t actually have the number 1 seed until you have mathematically clinched it. And I love our chances of securing the top seed and home field. But we ain’t there just yet.

Well deserved. This team is on an 8 game tear and the offense were just as much a part of yesterday’s win as our defense.

We are beat up. Not terribly but I think it’s a good idea to rest our team. A lot of backups have been getting action for the first time this year. Having starters getting injured is a real risk in football over 17 games. Having backups getting injured can be catastrophic….
