  18. Everyone is paranoid because of the risk for achilles, which I understand. However depending on how severe the strain is, this might be a bit rich.

  21. I think this is mostly precautionary. But having Wemby have to work a ton of minutes with Kornet was gonna bring this issue up.

  26. So obviously this fucking sucks but I don’t see us having the complete breakdown like people are making it seem like we are going to have. We have plenty of winnable games without Wemby especially if Castle is only out a game or 2. Time for Fox to prove he is worth the supermax and Sochan to prove he deserves the minutes and for a new contract come free agency

  31. This such bullshit. I live in the PNW and every single year, I’ve tried going to a trailblazers game to catch Wemby and he never plays. I’m all for resting to make sure he’s 100% but this absolutely blows for us up here.

  33. Team just can’t get healthy man, what a waste. Absolute right choice to sit him and hopefully it’s genuinely just a “Few weeks.” Team can’t really afford to have him out for too long unless it’s a serious injury (though it is being reported not to be.)

    On a serious note, this absolutely sucks. I hope we can manage to stay above water without him. I do not want to rush him. Please make sure he’s fully healthy before he returns.

    Lastly, I hope Mitch now plays Sochan more than 15 MPG now. No more playing the corpse of who once was Biyombo.

  40. Ok obviously, this blows.

    I am encouraged by the Spurs being conservative in the way they’re handling this.

    Trying to find a positive in this – with Harper being out and castle a bit banged up it’s going to require some of the depth guys to play more minutes and get some valuable experience even in what I imagine will be some close games and losing efforts. That could be valuable come post-season time.

    Schedule has some winnable games, and just hope that at WORST Wemby is back by Christmas time for the back to back OKC games and the run beyond that.

  41. Oh my god… got nice ass seats for the blazers game next week. Every time I try and see Wemby in person, he is out. This one is on me. Sorry, gang. Am I a dreamer for thinking harper might be back?

    In all seriousness, I’m not mad at the team being cautious with our players, especially since we’re still on a good timeline and have plenty of winnable games ahead. May even see Harper return during this time. And in the name of Wemby’s longevity for his career, we’d better get used to seeing periods like this during the seasons.

  46. Within reason, he should be missing the next 8-12 games with the timeline, right? Could be worse, but still sucks to see, hate that for the team and Vic himself.

  49. The alternative is playing him before it’s necessary and he blows out his Achilles trying to compensate for the calf issue so I’ll take a couple weeks of him resting his leg instead
