According to the reports, Luka brought up the FACT he just led the team to an NBA finals appearance, and that he was playing hurt, as were others. And that at 25yrs old, few had taken a team to multiple WCF & the NBA FINALS, and that they were over-reacting and being disrespectful to him, and the team.
Apparently, the conversation from there took some worse turns, and some aggressive language followed, as well as some hollow threats from ownership. To which Luka laughed at, apparently deeply insulted everyone in the room, pulling cards left and right, including some remarks for Miriam herself, to whom he lit up a cigarette and blew smoke in the face of.
Again, these are unconfirmed reports, but came from local Dallas media outlets, days after the trade.

If those conversations are true. Team management still has a right to ask a player they’re paying 100’s of millions of dollars to be in the best physical condition they can be in. Sure he carried a team to multiple wcf and an NBA Finals but there’s no Ring to show for it. He’s gone and done that for the Lakers and is in the best shape of his career. Why not do it for the Mavs?
