Last year the world was clowning on SGA for foul baiting and being at the free throw line as soon as they turned the game on.

But nobody wants to talk about the guys above him, especially the two Laker boys? How do you have two players on the same team getting more free throws than the league mvp who is supposedly a free throw merchant?

Giannis is the only player here who is actually attempting most of his shots in the paint. Luka is taking 11 threes a night but getting 12 free throws, it’s actually absurd.

  5. You have to understand that _many_ of the ones still running with that narrative don’t even know Luka is that far ahead. They don’t know the stats, they don’t watch the games, and they rely on internet/tiktok narratives.

  6. still crazy that SGA barely at 9, even after his 22-ish game 1 or whenever it was. Should be closer to like 7.5 most likely if that was a normal FTA day.

  13. I’ve come to realize that I can’t win that argument. Even if you show a Luka fan these facts, their reply is “well he’s earning those free throws unlike SGA who flops”.

  19. Narratives are for the masses. As long as Shai & OKC continue to clobber the other teams, people will find something to complain about. As someone said before me, they are now saying OKC is a superteam and Shai wouldn’t carry a team if he wasn’t in OKC. They will always find something else to point to when OKC puts B2A on their favorite player.

  24. I am pretty sure if you factor in SGA isn’t playing the 4th quarter most games he is closer to Luka than the rank says. He is scoring less points per game than Luka but not playing the 4th.. I am an OKC fan by the way but there is to much made of all these stats especially vs efficiency and does it produce wins.it is also way to early in the season to be concerned about stats or win totals. Yesterday I saw people posting if the season ended today the Thunder could have 2 picks in the top ten. These are fun thoughts but my god there are like 70 games left. We should just watch and appreciate the games as the season progresses and save the stats for the end

  27. Not a thunder fan but its disgusting to see Luka bait for fouls. His favorite is throwing up a floater and screaming when he feels the slightest contact at his hip, or pump faking and then just jumping into the defender not even trying to maintain a normal shooting motion just looking for contact and a whistle. Funny to see all the fat casuals on reddit nba defend it and then try to call SGA the FT merchant.

  28. Honestly the narrative’s gotten pre quiet recently, prolly due to no crazy high fr games by shai but I like to believe it’s cause people are coming around to his game
