  1. Basically the same contract as last year just a bit cheaper. Love to see this guy back! Now I just need to see King taking that QO

  2. Looks great to me. Low-risk for a guy who had some good moments last season, plus a decent deal for him if this season goes well. Here’s hoping he gets that $4.5 million in 2027!

  3. Ok. It was a fine move, now it’s excellent. A few moves like these to round up the roster, and a major bat and pitcher. We’ll be set

  4. That’s a lot of escalators to install mid season, feel like that’s a lot of construction

  5. For reference, Martin Maldonado’s contract was for $1 million/1 year, and we were forced to use him for most of the year due to lack of catching depth.

  6. Why do I get the feeling this is the type of deal we’re mostly going to get this offseason.

  7. I’m fine with this as long as he isn’t one of the two starters they’re allegedly looking to add because if he is, as good as Niebla is, this rotation is going to be terrible

  8. Hoping a full offseason with Niebla helps him unlock something. He does have good left to right movement and his velo was up a few ticks when he came out of the pen. I don’t want to see him starting every 5th day, but putting him in the ol’ Nick Martinez swingman role may work well for him.

  9. Cheap depth. He has 2 more option years so he can be sent down to El Paso as often as needed to clear his spot on active roster.
