WHAT’S Going On In San Antonio!?
Spurs fans, what is up with all of the injuries to our guys? What is up, San Antonio Spurs fans? Welcome to TSR Sports. Hope you had a great weekend and a great win last night. I know the Sacramento Kings suck. They have four former Allstars that are like oil and water together out on the court. What a complete mess out there in Sacramento. But our Spurs won and it was a nice bounceback game for Darren Fox and great team play. Our Spurs had 38 assists last night. Hey, you got to go Spurs go for me. But let’s get on to the main subject. Going into the season, I had four main concerns. Turnovers, which are unfortunately still an issue. Perimeter defense, which is very much an issue. Three-point shooting, which has been up and down throughout the season. And last but not least, Mitch Johnson as a rookie coach. How well is he going to do? But I now have a concern that is actually bigger than all those. The injury bug, which we have been hit hard on so far. That was a bad choice of words. Hard by so far this season. Our Spurs are 9 and4 through 13 games. We’ve had a lot of guys miss a lot of time. What is going on in San Antonio? Let’s bring up the games missed by our guys. Starting off the season, we were missing a plethora of guys. Darren Fox missed eight games. Jeremy Sohan missed six. By the way, Jeremy Sohan shooting only like 50% from three so far. Limited sample size, but nicely done. Kelly Olen, who I’ve been told how to say his last name 15 different ways, so I really don’t know to this day how to say his last name. And Lindy Waters, who I believe is a third, eight, six, six, and six. Oh no, that’s bad luck right there. It’s a lot of time missed. Good thing is all four of those guys are back. However, the injury bug would not start at the would not just be there at the start of the season. It hit us in the face few games in. First off, Luke Cornett missed seven games. So important to our team, the backup for Wemby because when I hate to say it, but when Beyond’s on the court, oh my gosh, it’s just a disaster. Glad he’s back. And by the way, also a shout out, shooting a ridiculous like what 80 or 81% from the field. I know it’s all dunks and layups and close shots, but that is just absurd 80%. And then the other injury that was really a bummer. Dylan Harper out at least seven games so far. We don’t have an exact timetable. He is out of his walking boot. I don’t think we’re going to see him back until early December, which really hurts our bench because he was doing such a fantastic job, especially when you consider he’s a rookie coming off the bench and running the offense and really getting us a bucket when we need it, especially sometimes in the fourth quarter. So, Dylan, you son of a Harper, we need you back ASAP. But it doesn’t end there. Now over the weekend, we got some new injuries to talk about. First up, WBP missed last night’s game, and it’s a calf issue, which of course causes a lot of concern among Spurs fans and basketball fans in general because we’ve seen so many calf issues turn into ruptured Achilles. We obviously do not want that to happen to Wemby and then Stefon Castle was injured last night. Don’t really know anything about that at the moment. Was it just going to be one of those things where he’s out for the second half of the game and he’ll be fine and good to go tomorrow night? Is he gonna be out for a couple games? Is he going to be out for an extended period of time because that really hurts our playmaking because Harper are some of our primary playmakers and missing both is going to be very detrimental to the offense. Mitch Johnson did have a press conference after the win last night and this is what I well here’s here’s what he said in regards to Victor Wmanyama calf tightness. We’ll see what that means and when we dive into it, but we’re not gonna we’re not going to risk it. I’m taking that is it’s either something that’s going to pass very quickly or he’s going to miss a few games. Hopefully, it’s the former, not the the latter because we need WBY as soon as possible. He’s such a differencemaker on both ends of the court. As far as Castle was, what’s even more up in there, I’m going to pull myself down so we can see his whole quote. This whole quote here, I just was told that he wasn’t coming back in the game. There was no drastic fall or big incident. I don’t believe. Maybe there was a play, but I’m not sure. Quite honestly, nor am I. Miss TSR, we were both watching the game. You guys that were there for the live last night. Really don’t know what happened to Castle. All we know is played the first half and then he wasn’t coming back. Hopefully, it’s nothing serious. I didn’t see anything in particular happen on the court, but neither did Mitch Johnson and he’s sitting right there courtside. Take it for what it is. Now, Spurs fans, we’ve had some tough losses. But we are nine and four. But the injuries, we are going to be really good when healthy. But my question for his fans is if and when is that? Because it seems like every time we get somebody back, there’s somebody new being injured and now it’s the most important player on the team and arguably the second or well, I’d say Fox is second most important, maybe third most important with Castle. I don’t know. You you you figure that out in the comments. But it seems like we just can’t shake the injury bug right now. And we have seen playoff caliber teams just absolutely decimated by injuries. Take a look at last year’s Philadelphia 76ers and the New Orleans Pelicans. Both expected to be playoff teams and both were lottery teams because it was one injury after another. Dare I say the Pelicans might be one of the most unlucky teams in the NBA bas with injuries. Just absolutely ravaged with injuries last year and it ain’t so much better this year. This might be a curse down in New Orleans. I don’t know. I will say this, I guess, and you guys have said this in the comments too on other videos. I guess better now than later in the year. Get these little I will say little, they’re serious. Some of these could be serious, but if there’s going to be injuries, have them at the start of the season now. Maybe you’re going to lose some games that you you should have won, but have it happen now instead of happening in a seven game series where it’s, you know, we’re in game five or six or even game seven, a do or die situation, and then we got one or two guys out. Well, I guess better. Now, I said it just a moment ago. I really think we’re going to be good when we have everybody back. Really good. I was so excited in the offseason like, man, Darren Fox and Victor Weim are going to have an offseason together and then once the season starts, they’re going to be cooking. Well, much like the GI Joe PSA, you’re not cooking because they barely had any time together, did not have an offseason together. We’ve seen some chemistry issues here and there on the court. Rotations constantly change with guys coming in out of the lineup and that’s that’s tough. I mean, that’s going to cause problems with the team whether we want admit it or not. But constantly shaking up the rotations, guys being used to playing together and now this guy’s out, this guy’s in. It’s gonna it’s going to mess up the chemistry a little bit, but you know what? I guess it’s better to figure out now. And and I guess if there’s a silver lining, some guys are getting more minutes maybe than they normally would have. And we’ll see who’s, you know, ready for prime time and who’s not. But when we have everybody back when, which at this point looks like it’s not going to be until early December because of Dylan Harper’s injury, which I’m sure the Spurs are proceeding with extreme caution, obviously with WBY, that’s going to be proceed with extreme caution. But when we have everybody back, we’re going to be freaking good Spurs fans. Nine and four right now, the best start in almost what, a decade. And three games we probably or at least could have won. Those two Warriors games were right there for the taking. and and it took a superhuman performance from Steph Curry to beat us. That’s not going to happen on a regular, you know, regular night where guys just going off like that. The Lakers game was just stupid with all the fouls. So, I I don’t want to talk about that anymore. We’re a playoff team, healthy. We are absolutely a playoff team. We can do damage in the playoffs. I don’t think this is just a team that’s going to get knocked out in the playin if that’s how we make it in or first round exit. I think we can at least make the second round. And I wouldn’t be shocked. A fully healthy and fully functioning Spurs team can’t make it to the Western Conference Finals. Why not? I see the too young thing. You know what? We have a lot of vets on this team. WMBb’s year three. Fox is a vet. We have plenty of vets to help carry this team or help contribute to this team. I don’t want to use a too young excuse anymore. WMBBY’s year three and already shown he can play to MVP level. Why not Western Conference Finals? Maybe they shock the world. Make it to the NBA finals. Maybe even shock us even more. Win the whole damn thing. I don’t know. I like, hey, I can take, you know, the the, you know, little Rich that was rooting for the Cleveland Indians in major league who well, they didn’t win it all, but they got they they got to the playoffs. We we can be that we can be the big underdog that surprises everybody, can’t we? Just we got to get healthy. And when is that going to be? Time will tell. Drop a comment down below. Spurs fans, are you concerned with all these injuries that are popping up in left and right? Like this thumbnail says, I’m concerned and I hope it ends soon. Something strange is happening in San Antonio… The Spurs are dealing with way too many injuries, and nothing about it makes sense. In this video, we break down the unexpected setbacks and the new injuries that may become an even bigger problem. Are the Spurs cursed? Unlucky? Or is there something else going on?

The Spurs have had a ton of injuries to start the season, how concerned are you? Is it the shoes? The trainers? Bad luck!? Great win last night, thanks for watching and GO SPURS GO!
That's why coach mitch should have better rotation of players instead of just playing wemby, castle, vassel, harper, kornet to mitigate the injuries
It's not just us that are having injury issues, seems like the entire league is having issues this year.
Go spurs let's not be concerned ❤😊
Magic also have a lot of injuries popping up early in the season, it just sucks that we can never have a full team healthy, so I know how you feel lol
No big deal beating the kings but while fox was hidding in 4th quarter and barnes showed up then after barnes stepping up suprisingly fox started making threes this is not a good news 2 b1d games against the warriors and fox looses his confidence !!!! We need sochan real bad in the rotation but we must involved carter bryant and garcia fox is not healed totally and harper is out why not using garcia a bit !!! Olynik has looked better this game also
For those injuries i think that all those guys are over heating/playing to manage their lack of size and playing fast pace this makes all of them injuries prone we need another small forward 2 way player at 6,10 because when we are going to play teams with big guys its going to expose our lack of size !!!
It’s the nba. You know the players don’t play more the 80% of games max. Thats why you will never see me buy a ticket for a game until right before tipoff. Imagine the dad that got tickets for his kids to see wemby and he doesn’t play. Sorry kids he was sore today
I've been wondering if that shot clock reset rule has been catching up with the league. By resetting it to 14, teams/players are actually playing more than 48 minutes a game. It's a lot more wear and tear season to season. Plus with the new cap rules, it's harder to have good depth. Idk man
I can't wait for the season to end so we can talk about how we missed the play-in and especially the play-offs because we have no shooting, no perimeter defense, too many injuries, and inept coaching.
If this were the playoffs, Wembanyama would have played yesterday.
We do not have more injuries than anyone else and in fact less than many.
D'Fox needs to have a big on the floor he can work with as a proxy to Wemby. He needs to get into the habit, like Castle got into, looking for the big to pass down low or else pass it around.
If we can keep winning with injuries then it will help later on!! We are going to be scary
Son of a Harper got me 🤣
Last year we would not have won that game because we would not have had Luke.Or a center presents to hold up. And that has been happening also, while Wemby going to the bench. If you notice there's no longer drove's of points scored against us anymore
They play with a easy team they try to save the players for the next game….
Could be multiple issues you bring up. What’s even more frustrating to see are turnovers. Last year Spurs averaged 13.9 per Gm. This year 16.4 per Gm and 18.7 in the last 3. In San Antonio we say “no es bueno!”
Perimeter defense, 3 point shooting & Turnovers are terrible.
Concerned yes but also happy we have a capable roster that's adapting to the adversity. Weird lineups be damned, they find a way to win
This team is still a yr away from real contention
Still cant beat the good teams
And mitch Johnson isnt the answer
Remember all the wrong talk early on with "we have too many guards" "get rid of Fox"? Not sounding so smart now is it?
Okay now just seen Wemby is expected to miss multiple weeks. I am now concerned he might miss out on another dpoy yet again, but I rather him come back heathy rest of season and play rest of the games and hopefully still play enough games to win dpoy.
WEMBY OUT FOR WEEKS, LEFT CALF STRAIN @TSRSports50
We’ve been playing Wemby really hard he seems to be slowing down a bit now. Maybe our Spurs are choosing to rest Wemby and let him recharge. After all he is a Giant that’ll require a different regimen to keep him healthy and injury free. I do worry about Coach Mitch Johnson’s coaching though, he seems really green to be coaching the greatest Phenom the league has ever seen and our young core.
If Wemby got hurt on that Podz play, NBA needs to look into that. He literally whipped his legs around under Wemby.
We have more bench depth than last season… for the moment it's holding up.
It’s a long season so if we know that the game is easy or that we can win it’s worth giving the players rest
Guess that means Wemby will be out to complete the shout-out to that midpoint to Austin when ordered by importance to the team. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Wemby is the younger brother of Anthony Davis..glass brothers
Both my teams struggling with injuries this season… ravens and spurs
Tank time
Ok first of why R they not calling Austin Spurs getting Flagler( not sure his name) the cat we got from free agency ex OKC guard. He played lights out in pre season but BC of DJG fans did not notice. N speaking of DJG he Betta get mins now with all these injuries. Say have backup b mix between Jordan N Flagler. Have DJG play both Shooting guard N possible small fwd b depending on matchups. N Good thing with a few exceptions we playing a lot of bad or mediocre teams the next few weeks. Just hold on to 6th at all cost. N get Trey Murphy 3 ass over here!!!! Make da trade?!!
