I believe so. We’re going to talk a little bit about the JK Dobbins injury update and why he’s probably not going to play against the Kansas City Chiefs. And then Bon Knicks, he went zero dark 30 like LeBron James did. So, Broncos country, welcome into the Broncos breakdown by Chat Sports. My name is Moose. And like I said, the most recent Broncos roster move that we have seen was the signing of Little Jordan Humphrey. There was a lot of people that got down in the comment section of our last video and they said how much they loved this move. I also really like this move and not just because he offers an extra element with the 5050 balls and some great hands and in the blocking scheme, but he wants to be a Denver Bronco. Mike Cliss talked to his agent Jimmy Gold and basically Jimmy Gold told Mike that he jumped at the chance, Lil Jordan did, to get back home to Mile High. And I think that’s amazing. I really do think that that shows what kind of culture Shawn Payeyton has cultivated here in Mile High. It’s a brotherhood. He wants to be back in Denver. But we’re not going to get all soapy, mushy, gushy. What does it mean from an X’s and O’s perspective? What does this mean for the Broncos offense? Well, let’s start with the wide receiver room because now you get Marvin Mims back, right? Little Jordan Humphrey is back in the blocking scheme, which means nice little opening for wide receiver four right now. And that’s my guy Pat Bryant. We’ll talk about him in just a second. Now, what you do need to know is that Bo Nicks has been excellent with Humphrey. This, by the way, is Bo Knicks, his stats with Little Jordan Humphrey every time he’s completed a pass to Little Jordan, which is 11 games. So, in the 11 games that he’s completed a pass to Little Jordan Humphrey, Bo is 68% completion percentage, 271 total yards a game, 23 total touchdowns, four picks with a 103 passer rating and a record of 7 and4. Booya. Like I said, 11 games with a pass completed to Lil Jordan. So, if you feed Lil Jordan at least once, the numbers indicate that Bo Knicks is really, really good. It also opens up the passing game, like I said, for Pat Bryant. I’m expecting his best game yet. Watch him get fed this Sunday. Maybe 67 receptions. 67. 67. Maybe 67 receptions. Maybe 70 yards, one touchdown. All I know is is that Shawn Peyton came out and compared this guy to Michael Thomas. Well, Michael Thomas was the ultimate chain mover. That was the slant king. He’s not going to break it over the top. But what you do want to see from Pat Bryant is that ability to move the change. What’s the one thing the Broncos have failed to do this entire season offensively? Consistently move the football in the first half. Second half, we’ve made adjustments. We move the football, specifically in the run game. But in the first half, it’s almost like Shawn Payeyton’s looking to see what the defensive coordinators are going to do. I need that to be bypassed. I need you to come out swinging, Sean. Get this guy involved. Get Mims involved. Get Troy Franklin and for the love of God, get Courtland Sutton involved because the fate of the Denver Broncos starting now in the playoffs is upon us. If you want to take over that number one overall seed, if you want to buy, if you want home field advantage, you’ve got to continue to win football games, and yes, it’s great that we’re eight and two. However, the hardest part of our schedule now comes up. Now comes up. So, the importance of feeding your wide receivers, Courtland Sutton, Troy Franklin, Mims, and now Pat Bryant, is even more important than it’s ever been. He hasn’t officially been ruled out yet because Shawn Peyton has not ruled him out yet. However, I think based off of all of the hints that we’re getting, some notable stuff from the players themselves, it sounds like JK is not going to play. So now you’ve got running back by committee. And like I said, people were asking Shawn Payeyton all this week about the status of JK Dobbins, and he would not provide us a decision. And that decision is not to play him this Sunday. That decision is to do we put him on short-term IR. There’s a lot of people that believe you should. Why? Because you’re going to need him down the stretch of the playoffs. At this point, you’ve got to start thinking long term rather than the week to week. So, if he does go out on IR, it kind of could be a good thing. Now, would I much rather have JK Dobbins playing? Obviously, that’s a no-brainer. But now, it’s time for RJ Harvey to really show his worth. Do you remember when I said at the beginning of the season, let’s go back to August for a minute. I had said there’s going to come a point at the second half of the season, whether this is week 9, 10, 11, 12, etc., where JK Dobbins is not going to be available and RJ Harvey is going to have to be the lead back. This is the moment, first real test for RJ Harvey. You’re going to see 12 plus carries this uh coming Sunday, my guy. So, now you got to get out there. You got to show why you’re a second round pick. And remember, I don’t think that RJ Harvey has shined away from a moment like this. I don’t think he should shine away from a moment like this. We’ve seen really great stuff from him this year already. Number one, he’s got even better hands than I originally thought. He’s kind of like that stereotypical scatback, you know, that Alvin Kamara type. He’s got great hands out in the flat. You can continue to feed him. That doesn’t mean you take away that part of his game this Sunday, but he’s also really excellent with the ball in his hands. I know that when this guy gets open space, he’s just a little bullet. like he just weaving his way through holes. Like he’s really really fantastic and he finds the end zone a lot. But what’s the most important thing about his running style? He’s a beautiful outside zone runner. The one area that he’s got to get better at uh especially when it comes to his play coming up this later this season and in the next season is he’s got to be better north to south. That power element, that powerback style uh that the old school running backs had, that’s not quite his game. But the numbers don’t lie. He’s having a pretty decent rookie season. The dude’s got almost 400, you know, yards from scrimmage, only 50 carries. So, he’s got 75 total touches and almost 40 400 yards. And there’s the most important stat down below. Six total touchdowns. Now we’re talking. Now we’re talking. So your running back situation this coming Sunday is a lot of RJ Harvey against the Chiefs. Tyler Bedet is going to have to slide in as that pass protector and as a third down back. So expect to see Tyler Bedet a bunch this Sunday. And little highlight reel Jalle couple plays and a couple packages to confuse KC. I think so. I think so. This could be the game that Jal says, “I’m still a valuable member of this team.” And remember, he’s only had one carry this entire season. I understand why Shawn Payeyton hasn’t fed him, but at the same time, now’s your opportunity to really find your value and your worth on this team. So unless somebody says it to my face, I don’t really hear about the criticism and nobody’s ever bold enough to say it to your face. I don’t get on social media. Now that could sound like it’s a defensive statement from Bo, but it really isn’t. What he’s telling you is that no matter what happens with this team, no matter what happens in my game, I could go out and throw for five touchdowns and no picks and everybody is still going to have a problem with the way I play football. So, I don’t even engage in it. The only thing that matters, and he goes on to say it, is winning Super Bowls, winning championships, and that’s exactly what your quarterback needs to say. I’ve always said Bo is amazing at the microphone. He’s got all the intangibles you want. But there’s another player that I uh noticed did this throughout his entirety of his career. And Jod, producer Jod, is very familiar with this guy’s game. LeBron James has done this literally every single year since he’s been in the NBA. Not only based off of their recent news from Alex Singleton, but we’re getting players back like Marvin Mims Jr., We resigned little Jordan Humphrey and now the entire world is watching the Denver Broncos take on the Kansas City Chiefs. It is the most important game all season long. And I’m not going to make this hyperbolic. I’m not going to make this more dramatic than it needs to be. But I think you all can agree with me that every single game leading up to this point has been a test for can you beat the big ones? Can you beat the Bills? Can you beat the Chiefs? Can you beat the Patriots? Can you beat the Colts? These are all the very biggest teams with the biggest names and the best offenses. So now you have the opportunity to have your first real test. Don’t drop the ball. Literally. Before we get started on how you beat the Kansas City Chiefs, if you want to continue that win streak, do me a favor, hit that thumbs up icon. So, it’s Knicks versus Kermits on Sunday. And uh I’m going to be completely real with you. I don’t think Patty Mahomes is as good this year as he even was last year. And last year, he wasn’t even that good. He was all right. He got good in the playoffs, but up to the point where Patrick Mahomes was playing last year, there was a lot of speculation. They’re like, “Why does Pat Mahomes not look the very same?” And a lot of people said it was apathy, right? Well, at a certain point, when you win too many Super Bowls, you start to get into that slump. I don’t want to hear it. I don’t want to hear it. But I will break down this year’s 2025 Kansas City Chiefs team. I will break down what this team looks like on paper because this is a offense that is still humming and recently has been humming a lot. Total yards per game, seventh in the NFL. Passing yards per game, fifth in the NFL. Rushing yards per game, 12th. So, they’re a better passing team than they are a rushing team. That’s to be expected. And points per game, they’re ninth. So, they’re pretty much top 10 in every single category. And I think the Broncos know this better than anybody. It’s Patrick Mahomes. So, how do you do it? You got to punch him in the mouth. You got to be ultra hyper aggressive from the jump. No soft zone. You’re going to play man-to-man coverage, especially with Xavier Worthy now essentially being in the injury report for the Kansas City Chiefs. You’ve got tons of opportunities, a cornucopia of opportunities to really establish the physical play that you’re known for against a team that is going to get booed more times than you can count when they walk into Empower Field at Mile High. There’s another narrative though that you need to know about the Kansas City Chiefs because we all know who loves Mahomes better than anybody. The damn zebras. And the Zebras also, for some reason this year, they love to be flag happy against the Denver Broncos. So, one of the things that you can expect is a heavily penalized game against the Denver Broncos. Not only because they’re a penalized team, but because Patrick Mahomes is the media darling. Refs love Patty. I can’t stand it. It’s one of my least favorite narratives in the entire NFL. And not because it’s not real. It’s very real. You saw it all last year. And that’s part of the reason that that team went 15 and two. So, how do you beat the Chiefs? I’m sure you’re wondering, how do you beat the Chiefs? Step one, keep Mahomes out of rhythm. Very simply put, this is very, very easy. If you keep him off the field, the guy can never get into any sort of offensive flow. That’s where the offense for the Broncos comes into play. You’ve got to chunk the ball down the field. Each drive, even if it doesn’t result in points, should be taking longer than four to five minutes. I want to see you bleed the clock. Step two, press the wide receivers off the line of scrimmage. Without Xavier Worthy, who is their speedster, you’re not looking at Rashi Rice, Hollywood Brown, and of course, Travis Kelce at tight end. But Travis Kelce is an old man now. You can get physical with him. You can bully him around a little bit. And I know that Rashi Rice is bullyable. The corners now without Pat Certan have a major test. You’ve got to establish what you’ve been doing the last couple of weeks. Real physical play. And if you’re Chris Abrams drain, who’s no doubtly going to be in the game, get the game in front of you. Step three, fourman front, drop seven in coverage. This is what the Philadelphia Eagles did last year against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. They dropped seven people back in coverage. They rushed four. Who are those four for the Denver Broncos? Nick Bonito, Jonathan Cooper, Zack Allen, John Franklin Meyers. Those are the four that I want to see get after Patrick Mahomes. Drop everybody else back in coverage. That includes Dre Greenlaw and Talenoa Hofunga, Brandon Jones, and everybody else. I want to make sure that none of those wide receivers have any shot at getting open if you’re playing zone coverage. And then finally, step four, limit Bo to 25 to 28 attempts. Whoa, Moose, didn’t you just say that Bo’s got to be great? Yeah, but you can be great being 19 of 27 for 225 yards and two touchdowns. I don’t want to see Bo Nicks throw the ball 46 times this game. It’s clear that B’s a momentum player right now. So, how do you eliminate the ups and the downs? Limit the amount of times that he throws. It’s simple. Put your trust in the run game. Now, JK Dobbins might not be playing and that’s fine, but you got R.J. Harvey, you’ve got Tyler Bedet, you’ve got Jal Mclofflin. Utilize those three to supplant what JK Dobbins was giving giving you. Okay, now let’s talk a little bit more about the Broncos offense. Like I said, JK Diamond’s most likely not going to play. That’s a definite hit for this Broncos offense. He’s been outstanding this year. Highway Robbery at its very finest, but he’s not the entire offense. He’s not. You got to expand the playbook. You can’t just rely on your one to two players. There’s no more room for these 20 screens a game or feeding JK Dobbins 15 times. That might have been a nice game plan if he was actually playing, but right now you’ve got to lean on the other players on your offense. That includes Pat Bryant and Courtland Sutton, Troy Franklin. You get Marvin Mims back. And more importantly, it’s your offensive line. It’s been touted as one of the best in the NFL. Pal Joe’s been great since coming in for Ben Powers. Bowls, McGllinchi, Miners, Watenberg. It starts offensively with you. You know it’s the biggest game. You know all eyes are going to be on you and you know what the narratives are going to be if you lose this football game. So, your offensive keys to victory are as follows. I already gave you the steps to beat the Chiefs, but specifically from the Broncos side of things, when they’re on the field with their offense, what do you do? You chip block with dual tight end sets. Now you have Mercedes Lewis, Adam Troutman. You line up Evan Ingram in the slot. We’ll talk about him in just a little bit. Attack the sidelines in man coverage. There’s no doubt in my mind Kansas City’s going to press you off the line. So what do you do? You got to attack the sidelines. Whether that’s a wheel route, whether that’s a go route, or whether that’s a flood on any certain given play, attack those sidelines. eliminate the pre- snap penalties. I cannot tell you how infuriating it will be at home if I see four or five offensive false starts. It will be ridiculously bad. Like horrible. Chunk the ball down the field. Methodically move the football. That calls for different types of play calling packages. Shawn Payeyton, it doesn’t mean run the ball three straight times. It doesn’t mean throw the ball three straight times. Run, pass, pass, run, run, run, pass. There’s a lot of different combinations you can have. And finally, if you are going to throw the ball, for the love of God, feed Courtland Sutton, please. He’s your number one wide receiver for a reason. Just target him more. Even if it’s a 50/50 ball, target him. Target him. I want to end today’s show by bringing up Evan Ingram. If there is if this was ever a game, if there was ever a game where I wanted to see Evan Ingram finally show his worth, it’s this game because I can forgive everything up to this point. I can take the injuries and the lack of productivity from what we thought you were going to be. This is not nearly good enough. 24th among tight ends in receptions, 27th among tight ends in yards, one touchdown, and 70th amongst qualifying tight ends in yards per reception at 8.1. Is it fair now to at least admit that Evan Ingram was our worst free agent signing? At least up to this point, he’s been so lackluster. I wouldn’t say he’s been awful. like he’s not been a complete whiff, but for what you’ve signed this guy to, he’s not delivering what you wanted to. Now, granted, some of that could be injuries, and I totally understand that. But if there was, if this was ever a game for me to just say, I write the wrongs that you’ve done. You know what it is. Week 11. It’s Chiefs week. The very first Chiefs week. The next time we play the Kansas City Chiefs will be Christmas Day, which of course I work I’ll be live for you. So, make sure you tune in when we do that as well. But speaking of the Chiefs, this is the first time we see them this year and all eyes are going to be on the Denver Broncos. There’s a narrative going around right now that the Denver Broncos are frauds. And I absolutely hate that narrative. So, if you’re like me and you think the Broncos are going to take the W, type your DEN’s right now in the comment section. I want to see where the real ones are. Give me your DEN’s. We’re not doing the F Casey Casey’s right now because it has Casey in it. Instead, we’re typing our deens to show support. All right, let’s jump into our very first question of the Broncos mailbag for week 11. and Joey. We’re starting with Danny Clottle. My guy Danny, what’s going on? He says, “Who gets a touchdown first?” Li Jordan or Evan Ingram. I’m going to say uh Evan Ingram. I think Evan Ingram could have the possibility of a really good game uh this week. The Chiefs are notably terrible against covering the tight end. Lil Jordan, it’s going to take him a game or two to get back into the swing of things back at Mile High. But I am very glad he’s back here after spending the uh 2025 season with the New York Football Giants. But it’s a really good question, a very interesting question. I’m going to say Evan Ingram, though. If I wanted to uh get in there and, you know, kind of throw my hat in the ring there for who scores first. If I had to guess who I actually think scores first in this game, I’m going to say RJ Harvey. I think you’re going to see a lot of him touching the ball this coming Sunday. Kai the Broncos fan, what up? If the Broncos can beat the Eagles, who beat the Chiefs, we can do this. Yes, I do believe the Denver Broncos have a big-time shot to beat the Kansas City Chiefs. Not just with this defense, but I think the offense if it gets humming, there is not a team on this entire league or in this entire league that can go head-to-head with the Denver Broncos in both facets. When the Broncos offense is humming, we’ve seen a lot of times this year it definitely hasn’t. Let’s go to Keith or excuse me, not Keith, Kenneth, take two. Moose RJ Harvey, total yards versus Kansas City. I’m gonna say 56 on the ground, 39 through the air. So that would be 95 total yards against Kansas City. And I’m going to say he scores twice. 95 total yards and two scores against the Chiefs. I would love to see Jal Mclofflin get involved this Sunday. Same with Tyler Bedet. I think this running back by committee is going to be a very very heavily utilized thing considering JK Dobbins is most likely not playing. Thank you Kenneth for your comment. Pops when we win is Casey done pretty much. Uh I wouldn’t say they are completely done. Not mathematically speaking. They’re not eliminated but they’d be five and five. And that’s not a good spot to be in considering we still have to play them again. And I believe they have to play the Chargers one more time, which is definitely no easy feat for them either. So, we could sweep the Chiefs this year. And if the Chargers also sweep the Chiefs, that’s another three losses on top. You could see a world in which Kansas City goes 9 and eight or 10 and seven. And uh I think everybody would be happy with that for sure. Carson coming in with a $5 super chat. How do you feel about Shawn Peyton’s play calling? Take the brakes off. Let the offense and bow run at full power. No more conservative play calls. I think two things can be true at the exact same time, Carson. I think Bon Knicks can struggle a little bit with the uh down the field shots that Shawn Peyton allows him to take, but I also think Shawn Peyton doesn’t let the rains off a little bit. Sometimes you just got to go ultraaggressive with your play calling. And if Bo can’t hit it, then Bo can’t hit it. This is about the time to really like test the waters. You’re going up against a high-powered offense. Patrick Mahomes has big playmaking ability. We’ve seen that over the years. We know exactly what he’s capable of. So, in order to kind of like let the leash off, you got to let the leash off. And if that means some of it looks a little uh shaky at times, you got to do it. You got to do it. So, Carson, I do appreciate your uh your question, but let’s uh let’s see what Shawn Payeyton’s got dialed up. I really hope it’s not 20 to 25 screens per game. Joey, look, go ahead and look over at your script there and uh there should be some other stuff that we should be getting into here in just a little bit. But Carson, like I said, I appreciate your question as well. Kenneth, oh, we already answered this question real quick. Uh RJ Harvey, total yards. That’s all right. We’ll just cut this out. Jod, um yeah, I think I said 95 and two touchdowns. It should be right underneath all those YouTube comments there, bud. It should say social. Yep. Yep. You’re good. Uhuh. Not that one. There you go. Eileen Ulick Moose. Did you hear about what Nick Wrong said about Jaylen Herz and Bo Nicks? Yes, I did. I did. That is a hilarious name, by the way. Eileen Ulick is so funny. Yes, I know what you’re talking about. So, uh, Nick wrong showed up on Colin Cowurd’s podcast and talked a little bit about Jaylen Herz, but he also then went to his show and he talked about how much he absolutely hates Bo Knicks. It wasn’t a direct comparison, by the way. Like, he didn’t compare Bo Nicks to Jaylen Herz, but it was hilarious. It was hilarious because I don’t know how someone can show so much bias in their entire take more than Nick Wright. He has gone out multiple times and says, “I hate the Broncos.” So, clearly, he’s not going to give accurate analysis about Bo Nicks. But speaking of, here is what he absolutely had to say about Bo. I’m telling you, America, the defense is awesome. I think Shawn Peyton designs an offense where players seem to run open and their quarterback cannot hit them. If you had an incredibly dynamic run game, you could get away with what is right now bottom five or bottom six quarterback production. And then in the same breath on Colin show said this about Jaylen Herz. Herz is almost in his own category of quarterback because it looks so pedestrian and so hard for such a long stretch and then it seems like he just makes a play and he’s been so successful and such a winner that I have to say there’s something weird about him. Hold on one second before you push that forward. Actually, that’s fine. He said it looks so pedestrian and so painful and then all of a sudden he just turns it on. guy. That’s literally what Bo Knicks has done the entire season. Has he not watched any games? Actually, he did admit that he watches the games that he just absolutely hates Bon Knicks cuz that’s literally what Bon Knicks has been. And also to call Jaylen Herz pedestrian is utterly laughable. I wouldn’t say that he’s in the upper echelon of quarterbacks, but the numbers don’t lie. The comparison right now between Jaylen Herz and Bon Knicks. Look at Jaylen Herz’s numbers this year. He’s in the MVP category. He’s got 1,800 yards passing, 16 touchdowns, and one pick with a passer rating of 112. Like, what are we what are we talking about? Nick Wright is so wrong all the time. And I do think he is a very good broadcaster. I think he’s good at his job. Like in order to spin a story and spin a narrative, I do think he’s got talent. But it’s clear and obvious that when it comes to the Denver Broncos, he should just stop talking. If you’re not going to be objective about it, don’t do it. If you want to shuck shut Nick Wright up, Shuck, if you want to shut Nick Wright up, type 10 down in the comments section. Let’s get as many tens as we can get going because Bo Nicks is going to prove to everybody why he’s the real deal against the Kansas City Chiefs. notably who Nick Wright is a huge fan of. John Elway, Steve Atwater, they’re all amazing. Uh, if I had to go back a little bit further in time, Dear Marius Thomas, like DT was unbelievable. Um, let me go Sharp and then DT.
