I bought this off facebook market place for pretty cheap and was wondering if it was authentic?

  1. That’s a knockoff/fake. It’s not an on ice authentic jersey and it’s not a licensed replica made for fans.

  2. The cheap fight strap is a dead giveaway. I don’t mind the Chinese knockoffs, half my collection are those, but this is one of those.

Real replicas simply don’t have one, and authentic jerseys have a beefy strap. There’s no in between.

  3. Gretzky was the only player with the CCM logo on both sides of the back of the jersey since he always tucked in one side. Authentic “game ready” Gretzky jerseys will always have the double CCM logo.

  4. The “bubble” nature of the back numbers and crest and the small size of the crest give me the impression it is a fake replica, or at least everything added to the blank jersey wasn’t put on/manufactured by CCM.

  5. The shinyness logo and lettering is a dead giveaway away too.
My Gretzky jersey looks nothing like this one

  6. Probably a dhgate’r. The look is so spot on til you get to minute details and some are so well done, there’s nothing to complain about. For the
    prices, they’re absolute wins.

  7. You can always tell by the front emblem. Puffy ones like this are knockoff. Flat solid ones are legit

  8. Why does every one look at miniscule things when all you need to see is the vintage logo it was never meant to be a game worn jersey weather it is a knock off of the vintage series who cares if you like it you like so wear it

  9. Fake.

Also Wayne never wore ccm in Edmonton. It was Nike with him
    .
This is pretending to be the ccm vintage edition jersey, which would have a V on the chest.

I don’t think they even did Edmonton in that series tbh

  10. The easiest way to spot an oilers fake is the angle of the O and S not following the circular logo, like the word is too small inside the blue circle.
