It’s interesting how they haven’t even attempted a field goal with the new kicker. They clearly don’t trust this new guy enough. I believe you can only elevate a guy from the practice squad 2x, and they’ve used up their 2 with him. Will be interesting to see what they do this week.
I hate being #1. Makes the NFL less fun when the entire world wants you to lose.
I do really wish that we’d just kicked the field goal against the 49ers late in the 4th. I get that we were trying to slam the door and it worked, it would just be nice to not have to read about our lack of field goals. 😭
I’ve actually loved that McVay has been more aggressive w his 4th down play calling. He was too conservative for years. I do believe he has faith in Mevis. But 4th and 1 and 4th and 2 I like us being aggressive. Mevis also has nailed his XPs. Not one of the 9 has come close to being missed. I already have more faith in him, than I did Karty.
It’s funny that our ‘fix’ for special teams has been to stop kicking field goals and give up on kickoffs. Mevis kicks extra points and blasts touchbacks on every kickoff. Keep it simple I guess.
