Irritated but devoted.

  1. I’ve been a Chief fan for 56 years; so I understand you’re irritated by devoted comment, because most to those years that’s exactly how I felt one coat that I really did like was Marty Schottenheimer. I loved Marty Ball. Andy refuses to run the ball. Give the ball and let him pound on the defense. It will take pressure off of Patrick. I hate all of the sideline pass schemes that he runs. I could probably go off on a 10 pager here, but I’m not going to.

  2. I mean, if you had asked me what I wanted for the Chiefs 10 years ago, I would’ve said one Super Bowl. One! I don’t feel like this is even the end of our run, just a downturn, a dip, a slump. Mahomes has another one in him at least. So yeah, can’t complain.

  3. This last game actually left me feeling relieved. It felt like what needed to happen for the organization to really look at their mess. We’ve been riding on that “shoe-in for the superbowl” energy for a couple years and its made us really sloppy.

Hearing announcers talk about our guys like they are the greatest when I feel like we haven’t seen that from them in 2 seasons. I believe in our guys, but they need to start working again to earn that kind of reputation.

Especially when I see some talent like Drake Maye who looks like Mahomes in 2019.

  4. It’ll be fun to watch a playoff push now! I scornfully dismissed the possibility that we wouldn’t make the playoffs at the start of the season; I am now in serious danger of a healthy helping of crow.

  5. agree and honestly I wouldn’t be mad about a retool. It’s been a long time since we weren’t picking at the back end of round 1

  6. Just don’t be like Broncos fans who boo their own offense during an 8-2 season run. I live in Denver and went to the Giants game. They were booing and leaving early. Real charming

  7. quite the contrary, I am doubled down in my support for my team. I am not mad either, disheartened though. We can still make the playoff, we can still make the superbowl.

  8. For sure. Im going to the game on Sunday and definitely had thoughts of getting rid of the tix. But f all that and f them colts.

  9. We have been SPOILED!

One-leg Mahomes winning a SB and a then a shot at a three-peat!! That would’ve been the only highlight of most any other franchise, and we got so much more!!

I’m just disappointed because this team is so talented. Kansas City is the only team beating Kansas City with silly penalties.

Maybe, it’s the fact that many teams have been watching the Chiefs play and have learned their tendencies. During last year’s SB the Eagles mentioned that to beat the Chiefs, you just have to keep playing as if there were two offensive plays on every down. That’s how teams are preparing now. Pat’s second effort is almost expected now and it doesn’t look like there has been adjustment.

I’ve lost track how many penalties and silly mistakes special teams have made. Then, you have unnecessary holds or false starts and basic things like lining up correctly.

When teams like the Cowboys, Bears, and Cleveland get those type of flags people call out the lack of discipline and how it falls on the coaches. The Chiefs have earned the benefit of the doubt, but, at some point, they need to realize the emperor has no clothes.

They look great when they are hitting on all cylinders, but seem to have lost that resilience. When the team is down, that sideline looks so quiet and resigned. I understand that any little thing is going to be magnified, but at some point you just need to treat it like it is a game in the backyard.

At the same time, I don’t really know crap about what these guys go through or their preparation. I don’t earn millions of dollars for being an expert at the top of my field like these guys.

They have brought countless moments of pure joy and nobody can take away!

    I’ll still be cheering!!!!

  10. I watched this team go 2-14, I’m sure as hell not gonna stop watching because we’re 5-5 two years after winning the super bowl

  11. Nothing could make me not believe that this team can win the Super Bowl if we make the playoffs. But the doubt is starting to creep in that that’s going to happen. So frustrating to watch this team. We have a better O line, better weapons. And Pat WAS playing really well before these last couple games. Defense is a bit worse but still solid. It’s been situational just not making (calling) the right plays when we need em, which is supposed to be what we’re good at! Ugh

  12. We’ll have good years and we’ll have 2012! Keep on motoring on!!

  13. I was cheering them through 2-14 and 4-12, and I’ll cheer them long after the current coaches and players are gone, universe willing

  14. truly the only silver lining to the team flailing is the nutjobs on r-slash-nfl not being able to use the “bandwagon” label

  15. The frustrating part is whats the solution? Is this simply Reid is no longer a great playcaller holding the team back? Is it weapons since Worthy is clearly limited and Brown is inconsistent leaving Kelce and Rice to do everything? Is it Mahomes regressing and no longer a top 5 QB? No idea but still love this team
