  1. Means he can’t clear protocol in time. Gonna be Money Mills on Thursday.

Edit: For the not-knowers in the comments: This means CJ is, at best, on step 3 of the 5 step protocol. This is limited participation.

  2. Boy oh boy where do I even begin.
Coleridge Bernard Stroud IV… honey, my pookie bear.
I have loved you ever since I first laid eyes on you.
The way you throw the ball and strike fear into your enemies eyes. Your silky smooth touch with the ball, and that gorgeous running.
I would do anything for you. I wish it were possible to freeze time so l would never have to watch you retire.
You are even amazing off the field, you’re a great leader and captain, sometimes I even call you dad. I forever dread and weep, thinking of the day you will one day retire. I would sacrifice my own life if it were the only thing that could put a smile on your beautiful face. You have given me so much joy, and heartbreak over the years. I remember when you first got drafted and It healed my soul.
And a tear fell from my right eye when I watched you win your first game against Trevor Lawrence because I knew you deserved it.
One day when you lead the Texans to the superbowl l know we can prove the world wrong.
Not only have you changed the game of football and the world forever, but you’ve eternally changed my world. I know it’s early in your career, but you’re still the goat, my goat. I love you pookie

  3. Guys he wont play this week. Has to have two practices and no known symptoms and pass the test.

Then you need to question if it’s smart to do so.

  4. Looks like they’re trying to get him ready for Thursday. I remember seeing Seth Payne on his YouTube channel say something about also doing a simulated practice can count towards the concussion protocol. Tomorrow’s practice is probably a walk-through since it’s a short week but CJ can do an individual simulated practice and it’ll count for the protocol.

  5. If this were a Sunday game, I could see him playing, but unfortunately it’s a Thursday game. I’m by no means a coach, but it just doesn’t sound smart to gamble CJ’s health and confidence against a Super Bowl contender on primetime with only one practice under his belt in the last two and a half weeks — and we don’t even know if that practice was at full speed. Also, are we just not going to act like Mills hasn’t put up back-to-back top-five QB performances? As much as I’d love to see a primetime CJ bounce back game, personally I’m choosing to ride the Mills hot hand and let CJ have 10 days to get healthy and prepare for the bigger fish he’s used to frying.
