  1. OP on X mentioned the pool was limited to players with 100 or more snaps this season.

PFF ratings, so take that for what you will. Seems fair for most of what we’ve seen from these players. some I think may even been over valued by PFF

Also, while the colors are pretty, don’t miss the “—“
Players as well. Either not enough snaps or IR for those fellas. Essentially half of our draft picks in the last 5 years don’t play or have been injured.

    2023 was a decent draft. 2022 bad.

2024, mims is fine, I think he’ll be fine, but garbage round 2, complete ass double dip in round 3, bad rounds 4+.

2025: Absolute 5 alarm disaster of a draft this year. Each player essentially the worst in the NFL at their positions. Tough to come in as a rookie… but plenty of rookies make even a slight impact year 1.

Tobin and the boys really missed during some pivotal rebuilding years.

  2. Pff grades are absolutely trash now. They had Aaron Rodgers rated as the worst QB in the NFL, behind Jake Browning.

The graders have absolutely no clue what they’re looking at.

  3. 2021 and 2022 were obviously bad (except Chase, but there was no way to mess this pick up). Those really set them back the last years.

2023 looks better than expected. Not great, but with Turner and Chase Brown at least we got something. 2024 was the one I actually liked at the time and you could say it is fine. Mims should be solid and Eric All was a big deal for this offense before he got injured. But then of course you have whatever is going on with Burton and Jackson.

And 2025 was just bad process. The had just 6 picks and massively reached for positions of need, when they really needed talent everywhere. Even if they turn out fine in the long run, its just not great. And Carter and Rivers just never should have been starters in their first season.

  4. It’s a travesty to see how bad we drafted. Our draft decisiona singlehandedly made our defense the worst.

  5. Fire Duke Tobin.

Not wait for his contract to expire. Not come to an amenable separation. Not let him finish out the season.

Call him in. Tell him he’s the fucking worst at his position, just like our defense, and have security immediately escort him off the premises.

  6. Blow it all up. The whole coaching staff and everyone in on-field football operations needs to go. Go find a blue chip GM (I know, I know) and pay them to rebuild from the ground up. Show you’re serious. Otherwise, it’ll be just the same cycle again and again.

  7. How much of it boils down to development and the coaching staff? I wonder how some of these guys would be if Belichick or McVay was the head coach?

  8. The last two seasons are on the front office. They are drafting horribly. They are stuck with playing the bad players they drafted. This can’t continue. Their approach needs to be more similar to the 2020-2021 season where they bring in good vets from free agency.

  9. These kinds of drafts consistently are why the Bengals have such meager young talent out there. A Lotta picks on defense and none very good. Turner is decent this season, so at least there’s ONE guy to be mildly enthusiastic about over the past 5 drafts lol

  10. Really wonder what Tycen would look like if we used him. As much as everyone has liked Yoshi in the past, it is laughable that he is still WR3. Have a feeling 2024 class will be really good once everyone gets healthy. 2025 is brutal but hopefully a year of starting will help next year? Definitely need to hit on multiple picks this year.

  11. Sometimes it feels like they watch that Michigan team win national championship and decided they were just gonna build their defense with all those guys not realizing they were missing the most important pieces like Aiden Hutchinson

  12. This is almost comical. We went into this season hoping the defense would be transformed. We just wanted to see a below average defense instead of an absolute disaster of a unit so the Bengals went out and drafted the worst players at their respective transitions.

  13. So what you’re telling me is that the only picks we’ve hit on are of course the Ja’Marr pick and DJ. This past draft couldn’t have gone worse honestly. Going to give Fairchild the benefit of the doubt for right now because he isn’t completely ass, but for the other 4 picks, we’re better off bringing practice squads guys up or trying to find some FA’s because they couldn’t be worse could they

  14. If only there was a person responsible for developing and training the players drafted. I know a lot of people want to blame Tobin, but he was not nearly this bad at finding talent while Lewis was HC.

  15. I’m also taking away that they had stocked up on a lot of picks in 21 and 24 but still somehow whiffed on almost all of them… even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes but geez Duke you are not good at your job.

  16. I’m pretty sure if Tobin just bought a draft magazine and used that, we’d have better success

  17. They need to fire Duke Tobin and get a real GM with about 10 more extra scouts. We all know this. The problem is the FO doesn’t know this.

  18. This tells me they need to desperately trade up in the draft and /or trade picks for actual nfl caliber ones

  19. What makes this so concerning is that if they just simply drafted the guy who the data suggested, then that completely elevates these classes and the team itself. This is an organizational failure.
