What an absolute loser. Glad he’s thrown out with the trash
Frankie Montas 🤝Jed Lowrie
Out of the 5 reclamation starters Stearns signed (2024 Severino, 2024 Manaea, 2025 Holmes, 2025 Montas, 2025 Canning) all of them ranged from decent to great. Except for one, obviously (who was ironically paid the most by AAV). I don’t mind the idea of reclamation projects but Montas getting $34M will always be insane to me
Bye
Stearns cooking!
Thank god he didn’t re-sign Quintana.
Bro made a killing. Â I wish I could get 34M to do physical therapy and play PlayStation all day.Â
Thank god, im looking forward to not hearing the same crowd griping about him nonstop anymore. That will happen surely right
I remember watching his first start and thinking “damn that was pretty good if this is where he is starting from we might have something”. Then it turned out that was his peak.
Brewers picked him up at the 2024 trade deadline and then we sign him for two years.
Given Stearns’ previous role in Milwaukee, I wonder if there’s something in his profile that clicked in both teams model which I would imagine are similar. I wonder what it was.
Nice
Liking what I’m seeing from Stearns lately
Stearns paid a certified bum, but will let Diaz and Alonso walk.
this was the worst signing we’ve had in the past decade. change my mind
W signing stearns. genius.
Ciao
Hopefully the assignment is on the surface of the sun

One of the worst signing in the history of the Mets, and it was bad from the moment pen met paper. Good riddance.
See ya! Never liked that move.
I wonder if someone else other than Morabito will be Rule 5 protected
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Take your $17 million for nothing in ’26 and get the hell out of here.
Makes sense. Paying him to do nothing regardless, might as well free up the roster spot for offseason moves
Look, overall it was a bad signing, but the guy was hurt, played hurt, then got hurt again. You can’t predict for that outcome.
this offseason off to a great start
I really don’t know what Stearns was expecting here. A guaranteed 34 million for a 32 year old pitcher who had a single good season four years ago.
Oh and the previous team he managed tried to fix him 3 months prior and failed.
One of Stearns’ key moves last offseason.
May Stearns not make this mistake againÂ
The best thing Montas did for us was getting hurt and shut down for the year.
And that’s that
It’s 40 man crunch szn boys
See ya
When your heat check ends up in the parking lot
