Report: Rangers shopping García, Heim before non-tender deadline

I understand Garcia, but I don’t fully understand shopping Heim.

Would be sad to see them go but understand they’re not the players they were a few years ago, still both of them were long time fan favs for a reason

Good, they are trying to get some value. Heim hasn’t been able to hit in 2 years, and his framing is going to be less valuable with the new ABS system.
Heim had one good season with the bat. Prior he was always a defense first guy but even that fell of a cliff this year.
Non tender them both and save us like ~15 mil. Appreciate them for what they’ve done to help us in the past while acknowledging that they’re not players that need to be on the team going forward.
Will miss both of these guys, if they do indeed go. Garcia is one of the biggest reasons they won against Houston in the ALCS and Heim has been a consistent all-star behind home plate.
Unfortunate that their production on offense has taken a nosedive over the last two years, Garcia especially.
Lot of young talent on the team and if they can get some value from selling these two off, it could boost the morale in the clubhouse.
Pitching and defense were phenomenal this last season, chase a guy or two that can hit a ball, like the devil wears short shorts and we’ll be golden.
Not having Adolis Garcia is actually going to drive up the cost of the A/C bill. All those strikeouts keep the stadium cool

I think catching every playoff game 2023 killed Heim super power. Hasn’t been same since
Maybe they can hit up Atlanta and see if they will take heim because their catcher is currently injured and they aren’t sure he will be ready by opening day
I still think Adolis can be a contributor for this team. But if not, hopefully they can get a good return for him.

Heim and Garcia throw runners out on the base path. Outs above average. Garcia lets too many first strikes go right down the middle.
Heim was let go weeks ago, it just hasn’t been released to the public yet.

Heim will be gone for sure. Heard his home was already on the market. I think they could potentially get something for Garcia.
All good things come to an end I suppose. But these guys are Rangers legends and, if they do leave, I will definitely miss chanting “El Bombi” or yelling “Heim Time”…
I’ve been ready for Jonah to leave since the end of 2024. I know El Bombi needs to go, but I’m not ready.
