That was a balanced take. Maxx said the 49ers will persist with Brock because they paid him over $250 Million. At the same time, he said Mac has done a creditable job.

And the most interesting point from the podcast is that he said the 49ers are used to the QB debate, right from the Jimmy Garoppolo days in 2019. It was a direct compliment to Kyle Shanahan and I appreciate it.

  2. Crosby looking at mac jones cheap ass contract next year and begging for a trade.  Aoc and fucking how geno is playing this year.

  4. Having a very good backup to a great QB1 gives the niners a competitive advantage most teams don’t have. I hope at the end of his contract they at least make an attempt to keep him with a decent extension offer even if he can get more as a free agent.

  5. All due respect, but I don’t really care what some dude from a completely failed franchise that has 2 wins on the season and has never posted a winning season in his career has to say.

  6. It literally took one drive to remind us that Purdy is noticeably better than Mac. I love that Mac held down the fort while Purdy was out. But the “we are playing Purdy because of the contract” narrative is nonsense

  10. Mac earned himself a starting job….next year on a different team we trade him to. People acting like he’s getting screwed crack me up. He got his career resurrected by Shanahan, played well holding down the fort for an injured starter, and will likely get a sign and trade for some good $ to a team in need of a QB. This has worked out optimally for everyone involved.
