Jordan Hawkins made his first one, which means he wants to shoot a bunch and he’s missed the last couple. Moses Moody got out there. He’s not just doing on the offensive side. So Murphy and Hawkins playing with Queen Alvarado and Eve BC. Thought there was a foul there. Pajki very upset kind of running back. You kind of stopped behind the screen. Quinton P committing the foul. Obviously everything’s a new career high, but double digits. That’s good. And he’s also figured out the official can’t give him the ball until he steps back the free throw line. So made sure he stepped in front of the free throw line. Got some practice in, then he stepped back. That’s That was interesting. Now the Pelicans are in the zone. How’s your zone offense? You always saying, can you get him to the middle? Draymond’s in the middle. He was. He vacated. Can you shoot him out of a zone? Quinton Post missing there. You know, Quinton Post is the best plus minus of any Warrior this year. Yeah, that’s interesting. Only plays 16 minutes a game. Draymond’s second. Back out to Murphy. I mean, they’re going to give him all he need because he’s been the one guy Klet has mentioned it that’s been hot the last several games. Expect them to try to go on their run here. They’re going to try to make their push. hoping to get Zion Williamson back shortly as well as Jordan P. Rudy on the drive set up post and he drew the foul. So Moses as hot as he is spacing wasn’t great. It was a threatening enough drive to get Quinton posting there. One of my favorite moments from last game was when they ran like a Stephism Steph type of concept where it’s not called handoff, you know, where he comes off for Quinton Post. Like he was moving around like Steph and then they showed Steph after he did like, “Oh my goodness, I can’t believe that happened.” He’s the one guy that understood kind of what just happened there. They don’t usually do that with other guys, but he got some of that action. fears in and out and then lost the handle. As well as the Warriors have played and the lead is only 13 NBA game that is nothing. Moody driving. Moody hanging. That’s really good defense. Move his feet and the lob. Steve Curry’s going to take a timeout for that exact reason. Got him. Nearly got one. Almost got him. He wasn’t even really hiding there. He just kind of shot in there. Zabuki did his job. Do not let Jose Alvarado steal an inbound in the back court. I was yelling. So that zone look, why is it bothering the Warriors with the zone so far? Well, you got to just make sure you get it inside, get some penetration, and you just haven’t hit open shots. Like that was not a bad look, but Quinton Post kept it alive because rebounding against the zone is hard. That’s big. QP for three. It’s another good look. You just haven’t really made him. So Bara went to the zone because the Warriors were getting whatever they wanted inside and they haven’t scored in nearly four minutes. take you out of rhythm. And Kovichic and just you take for granted how well Draymond Green closes out on shooters. Well, it’s the little things that count. He’s not going to get a stat for that, but his coaches see the effort. And again, he’s leading by example. Salving the zone a little bit. Jimmy Butler some taken inside. Pace up from the baseline and the Pelicans are playing D. The Warriors after that incredible first quarter, they’ve gone stone cold here. So, no field goals in the quarter. Fears attacking and flipping it up and in and drawing the foul. But averaging 14 a game as a rookie is no joke. Well, he’s had 10 or more in nine straight games. Only Cooper flag has been more productive in terms of that type of streak. He had 19 against the Lakers in a loss. So the Warriors, they had the big 17-point lead, but it’s been trimmed down to eight as Curry comes back in. Steph attacking. Draymond back to Steph. And Will Richard flying in to tip it home. Sometimes it’s not going to be pretty. Offensive rebounding. Give yourself another chance. Who’s boxing you out? Nobody get in there. Now Steph does not have a field goal. We talked about not having to rely on him. James Burggo is going to use his crazy runner and he’s on the floor just laughing at the absurdity of what he does. Did you see GP2 come through the elevator doors right there on the out of bounds? That was awesome. Burst through Bryce McGawan’s out of Nebraska and Jones. It took too long. He’s shot clock winding down. You said, “Hey, they want to drive. They want to drive. They want to drive.” Well, there’s a clock that says you better shoot before this time. Great defense possession and they just made multiple efforts and they just kind of stabbed Herb Jones and kind of threw him off and he forgot how much time he had. Done. Herb Jones is there to guard Steph though. He is an excellent defender. So, they’re sending a lot of bodies to Steph. You see how Fears just stabbed at it there. Made him pass it, but Poston picked up the dribble. Draymond comes to bail out. Shot clock at two. Curry’s got a launch. He did well just to hit iron, but credit the Pelicans. And you’re going to have a freebie the other way. Except GP2 said, “No, no freebies around him.” Like thought that was in, but then Fear’s able to hit the three. Okay, here they come. You have a game on your hands. You get a big lead early and it’s dangerous in the NBA. There’s too much game left. The first, you’re sitting there with three points in the second quarter right now. How can they free up Steph is their question. Two defenders again, Adam. Buddy healed and Buddy dropping in a three. Told you they’re going to start to drop the double team step on one side. Move that ball around. Make the defense work. You talk about Buddy’s relentless work though. It’s just good to see that payoff. Beers had to spin back. Derek Queen the jumper and GP2 the rebound. So midway through the second 11-point lead in the ball. If you enjoyed the 49er victory and just flip it over, the Dubs had 44 in the first. Buddy Heels got backto back threes. They are helping off of everyone. He just passed Paul Pierce for 15th all time on the threes list. McGawan’s fell down. TP2 just happened to be in the neighborhood. The Warriors didn’t appreciate that at all. Coach Kerr, he knows it. A lot of times you’ll see him on the bench with a basketball during a game just because he loves the feel of it. Like he he’s really paying attention to the details when it comes to his work. That’s where we talked about Queen trying to be a facilitator. Rotate to Herb Jones. Missed that three. You know who was uh next on the alltime scoring list for Steph in his sights as Buddies hit two and GP2 tried to keep it alive. He did. Vince Carter is next for Steph Curry. Big name. Steph knows Vince Carter really well. 36 points away coming into tonight. Curry behind his back. Curry down the lane. Curry up and out and out of bounds to New Orleans. Give Herb Jones credit. Most made threes in the whole league. Yeah, but he’s on fire. I mean, he is tough to deal with. But even when he game seven in New Orleans or in Houston is you end up having fierce foul. He hit that last three. They’re helping off of everybody with Steph. Like if Steph has the ball and they’re helping off a strong side quarter, even if it’s Buddy Heel, so he has to be ready. You’re right about Fears being clever. He sets up Murphy’s dunk, but that was all fears off the pick and roll and just great handle and got a great angle. You get a cut in there. Anytime you get a threatening drive when people are focused on him, Steph through the defense, flipping it up and out. So Curry still without a field goal. Will Richard batted it out and threw it away. See, Richard doesn’t pull up and take a crazy three there. Smart. You know, you’ve earned it with the defense. You’ve got the 12-point lead. Pelicans are building a little momentum. You haven’t scored much in the quarter. Double touch.
