NHL Highlights | Islanders vs. Stars | November 18, 2025

It has been such a trend setter. They will look to
do that as Johnston and Matt Barzel at center ice. Puck is dropped and we are underway from American
Airlines Center. Stars shovel one. More on that in just a second as Colin Blackwell hunting it down.
Turnaround shot steered along by Riddick. That’s the first puck to find at Minder. We’re almost
3 minutes into the hockey game. Drew catches on the wall with speed. Now it’s Barcel inside out
on Hasten and shot kicked out. Tough first save for Jay Gonder with the left leg. Mayfield fires
it forward. Hinaman now left side. Hormat leader in both goals and points on the Islanders team
and he was turned away byer. Funnled it to the corner. Played the bank for Ritz Kovian. Pressure
here from the Stars. Ritz Kovian up at the blue line. Rich shot from distance redirected
and Riddick was able to get the in tight. Ritz Kovian line got out there. It was a bad
rim out of the zone by the Islanders. Kept in by Ritz Kovian. Curls shoots and a stick save
from Riddick. He didn’t realize but he had the net minder stumbling one time by Hasten and hung
on to by Riddick. Sam Steel knocking it ahead. Miko Rantin curling feeding back for Lindell.
Got the shot through. Saved by Riddick. Been the busier of the two net minders so far. He’s
getting in. Rick shot hit Riddick and it was loose. Swiped out by Ranton and winds up in the
corner on both ends of the rank or at both ends of the rank on both sides of the puck. He’s been
great. Jason Robertson towards the net. Forehand shot. Started the year with 10 games with the
Texas stars in the American Hockey League before the call up today. Nice move Schaefer towards the
net. Save made on just 18 years old. But already to go inside out. Matthew Schaefer with the look
off. Steers for Ritz Kovia. Slowly up to the line now. Swung for Lindell. His shot got through but
right into the left hand. Mirro Hkin thought it was going to come clean around there. Kicked off
of there. Winding pull. His shot got through. Hud the save. Rebound swiped. oscillating so it
will not make it all the way down for the icing. Big guy didn’t really tattoo that one and he he
can shoot it through the end of the ring. Can he ever led to 28 combined goals in his first three
seasons taken away here. Ranton and nice move to the backand played it off Johnston and turned away
from the top of the crease. He’s so fun to watch with the puck. He gets a a puck. He he basically
steals it from Barcelle, dangles through, and you could see the magnet of attention he is, you know,
after he works his way through the kid. Three guys are trying to get to him. Filled with close calls
and milestone just over the horizon in front on the doorstep. It was right there. Splendorous
this one. He’s out there with Rantin and Wyatt Johnston and that backhand feed to the front of
the net. Understanding Jamie, just beat your guy to the net. He did that. Protects it. Gets it
to the forehand. Couldn’t squeeze it. Oh, look. Stuck right under the skate. The right skate. A
big save. Dave Rick. Riddick has been good. Ruan across. defenseman cutting in and Ramanov with the
shot. Hung on to by Anger and Cal Richie sends it across and a shot from the blue line. Save Anger.
Rebound Richie and it came back towards him and the Islanders control it. Bring through center
ice. Anders Lee for Barzel down the right wing. Drop pass. Sean Ninger made the save on Ramanov
this year in this building than he did last year. He dangles this down the wall and then he’s able
to hit the late guy at both you know the Stars best one of the best pairs. 15 seconds left in the
period. Dallas doesn’t clear. D’Angelo leaves for Pelic winds fires and it gets through to Hunter.
Just boom. Stars hits with a shot. Right arm saved by Riddick. First shot recorded by the Stars
this period. Petravic back door out the post. the redirection and then after that some good
puck movement at the point to find a lane, find a shooting lane. Robertson beating Mayfield to the
front of the net. Stars have done that a couple of times in King right off the Xbar up over top.
Man, that is so close. And the Islanders still with it. Long change here in the second period.
Tired Stars. Duclair back for Richie. He scores. Cal Richie the give and go with Anthony Duclair.
And at the tail end of that marathon shift, it’s the Islanders who strike first. Yeah, their
fourth line out there and and grinding away. The Stars had possession a couple times and turned it
over and that is going to end up being a penalty, a great scoring chance or a goal more
times than not. They had the stars pair of Lindell and Hasten and Weary. Found that seam
through the middle of the ice twice. A zigg and a zag and a yawning cage for Richie. And he
buries that to break this scoreless. Here’s Lee. Managed to keep it alive for Drewan,
for D’Angelo. Slip pass. Nice one. Barcel took his time looking for a lane. That
was quite the pass from D’Angelo. Stars take away. They’ve got numbers. Threeon-one.
Robertson to the left. Gets it back. He scores. Jason Robertson absolutely on fire. Ties the game
at one after that defensive hold by the Stars in their zone. D’Angelo the defenseman pinches. You
got to get the guide or the puck. He got neither. Stars had a threeon one. Tyler Sean and Jason
Robertson have a puck party gives it right back. The quick shot on the rush. Chipping a chase
from the Stars forward. He bulldozes D’Angelo. Then Steel gets it back. Cra played towards the
net and it’s cleared out by the Islanders. guys have had opportunities that have kind of fizzled
a little bit. I don’t know if Pullock’s had a break before. You were mentioning a slap
shot. You were wondering wondering if he was going to go out of Freddy. In front there’s
Horvat and he scores on the broken play as the Stars had it for a moment behind the net and the
Islanders have moved back in front. Bo Horvat, what a tear to open the year. offensive
leader for these Islanders, you know, pursuing the puck in behind it. It’s a miscue by
Auter who’s trying to grab a hold of that thing off the end boards and just sort of squeeze it and
it squeezed between his arm, his pad. Early ice, you know, it’s cleaner. The puck slides swifter.
The Islanders escaping their defensive zone. Romanov ahead for Ciplov. Nice move and waits.
Save on with the right pad. One of their key penalty killers and counterattackers. Collision at
the line and then the Islanders short-handed will race. Three across they come. Paul Mary shoots
and he scores. They do it again. Down a man. The Islanders with their fifth short-handed
goal this season. A stunner. It looked as though they were trying to draw a call. the
interference at the blue line. Rope hints was standing the line. He trips up Sikas. The
Islanders go in transition. It’s a right shot, left wing side. The body’s in a different
position than the puck. Always have a pretty good look at the far side. Aer worried about that
it looked like a little bit. And he dials him up. Protecting the puck with his body. Jason Robertson
over for Rantin. Robertson again behind the net. Sean tight angle tried to bake it. Robertson
scores. He’s unreal. His second of the game. His eighth in the last four. There is 159 left
and this game is not over. There’s a nice work by Tyler Sean too. You know they they keep it alive
down low. Sean goes to the icing line and quickly gets it on net. that ricochet off the outside
of the post and Romanov ends up just plopping down the quick stick of Jason Robertson who is
a bit of a hockey hyena. Loves to scavenge. Look at him just dive on that chunk it past Riddick.
Robertson Pastin. Robertson’s on hat-tick watch again. Johnston sends it low. Sean across shot.
Save Riddick. Puck movement is clean and it’s precise. What a beautiful seam pass by Sean.
Cut off by Lindell. Stars are on the attack. Now it’s Johnston. 10 seconds left. Shot tipped
and it goes wide. 8 seconds left. Druan pinning it up along the wall. 3 seconds. Stars with a
shot at the horn. Same score. Did they beat the clock? Riddic was bumped into as well in Calgary
when the Stars scored in overtime. This isn’t a buzzer beater. There’s not going to be any goalie
interference. Robertson gets knocked into there and that’s a good goal. Wow.
This game’s going to go to over and a lot to adjudicate at
the situation room level. The Stars had not scored a
short-handed goal up until that point. Everybody who’s here in Dallas on their feet
awaiting this announcement. After video review, the call of the ice is overturned. We have
goalender inter. Wow. No goal. 0.1 goes up on the clock. They’re pouring off the bench.
0.1 on the clock. And in one of the crazier ways you’re ever going to see, as the final
horn sounds, the Islanders get the victory. The Stars looked like they had come
back from down too late while down a

  1. These Dallas announcers have about three brain cells between the two of them. Robertson skated into the blue paint and bumped into the Goalies left pad before he was bumped into by the Islanders player. That textbook goalie interference, and if you are honestly that dumb that you think Dallas got robbed here, go back and look at other goals that have been called back this year for GI. This one is nothing.

  2. I'm questioning goalie interference there but also the horvat call. Agree with the 4, but the 10 misconduct is terrible. And how is that goalie interference? #6 NY pushed him in there. As an Islanders fan, we got lucky with the win. It's not a win in my books.

  3. Another year goes by the NHL still cant get this call right. I bet if he was never cross checked into the goalie the NHL would have allowed this goal the way they call these interference calls
